What makes Bucs tick?
Joe has seen and heard people from national platforms say and type that the way the Bucs beat a hot-as-fire team on the road on a short week, a come-from-behind win, that demonstrated the DNA of a championship team.
That wouldn’t be a far stretch since all of the Bucs starters played on the Super Bowl-winning team in February.
Yesterday, Bucco Bruce Arians was asked if the resiliency s was because the team is loaded with veterans like Ndamukong Suh? Arians replied, not necessarily. It takes all kinds.
“I put Leonard [Fournette] in there just because of the way Leonard is playing and for him to speak up at halftime,” Arians said. “I think when you have a guy like Kevin Minter that you can just throw in there – he’s not Devin White, but he’s a damn good football player. He’s not going to beat us; he’s going to make them beat him.
“I think all of those guys take that attitude of they’re not going to beat us. Then you throw some young guys in there and you teach them that way and it really rubs off on everybody. Just look at that defensive line and they’re all veterans other than Vita [Vea], but Vita plays like a vet because he’s around vets.”
In other words, Arians said, the Bucs are a good mix of savvy veterans, talented players in their prime, and youth.
Damn right it’s a good mix. It won a championship. The only thing that would keep the Bucs from making another run is injuries, especially to the secondary.

BucsAnthem, I can’t complain BA actually sounds like a really NFL coach in this post. That was the perfect way to describe Minter. My problem is when they lose and how he passes the buck, no pun intended. This is a motivation interview not a bitch session. Cudos to him, maybe he reads Joe’s blog.

The reason they are here is because of him. OK — Brady, right? The reason Brady is here is because of BA. Oh, Mike Evans and Chris Godwin and Cam Brate? Really? Jason Licht — brought in BA. BA wouldn’t be here without Licht, nor would these players.

I dont get all the hate on this here pages about Coach Arians. First of all; don’t belive him when he says that he doesn’t do sh!t around One Buc Place, that he doesn’t attend to meetings and so. You really think he’s running around all day in his gulf area and doing nothing? The reality is, no team on these times NFL will be as successful as we are if they don’t have a good HC, with Coach Arians is and I for one thank God we have him.

Instead of the general negativism….how about specifics…..that way we can debate properly……
I’ll give an example…..I agree with BA on Minter…..but if you watch the game tape closely you will see that he missed a very easy interception….a ball off the WR right into his hands….
So there…there’s a negative we can deal with…..I just don’t think Devin White would have missed that one.

Lets just all agree that we are 8-3 division leader , so far NFC 3rd seed. If this is how the BUCS wins going to the SB, I will be very happy to take it. Everybody knows that the Bucs have an “X” mark on their back and every team even the bottom feeder teams will give their best shot to beat the BUCS.

Hey Anthem, Mr “I Hate Leftwich” — go back to the MNF game versus the Giants and watch the first Bucs drive of the game.

Then come back and tell anyone how bad BL and BA are.

If Davis can return and stay healthy that is huge. With Gronk returning you can sit AB till he is 100 percent. These two are keys to the Super Bowl.

I don’t get the Hate for Coach Arians either.
In my mind, no team can stop us when we are fully healthy.
The only problem is, if we win another Super Bowl, it will probably be the end of both Brady and Arians.
We will certainly lose either Bowles or Leftwich, maybe both ?
Godwin is basically on borrowed time, so he will also be gone.
Brady may decide to go out on top, and I can see Arians following him out the door.

Y’all should be proud of this team for sure ! Do any of you realize most of the T V markets in our country watch or wait to watch Tampa Bay ? The real America’s team Most folks up in Northeast know every player and Coach on the Bucs Hold your head up high Tom Brady run offense only does it with a great team around him .
