I need someone or any body to please explain to me with facts that Trask can’t be a good quarterback?? He had better numbers than Trevor Lawrence, Justin Feilds. Trey Lance, and played against the better competition. Come whit facts not just because the national media didn’t pump him up like they did Jones. Go look at how he played against ALABAMA !! And I don’t want to hear about what players he had around him because every player Mac Jones threw the ball to or hand it off were top first round picks. It’s crazy how yall go on this Trask bashing campaign with no facts to backup what you saying !! And by the way give Belichick credit for what he’s doing with Mac Jones !!!

No one says he can’t. But if NFL folks thought he would be a slam dunk, he wouldn’t have lasted to the last pick in the second round. Numbers in college don’t always translate to the NFL. Just ask David Klingler.

Joe : they said the same thing about Brady and others but I just like I said yall go off what the ESPN says and others national media outlets.

Actually, Joe goes by what NFL people — who are paid millions for their football acumen — do, not what anyone on BSPN says.
And good luck finding anything that suggested Tom Brady would win one Super Bowl much less seven when he was coming out of Michigan. Maybe the closest was Joel Buchsbaum, and he never remotely suggested Brady would be a Hall of Famer.
What Tom Brady has done — if you want to throw Joe Montana in there too, you can — is not even remotely the norm. Might be the ultimate outlier. Claiming any quarterback will succeed because Brady was drafted in the sixth round borders on insanity.

Joe. It’s all about what team they get drafted to and who’s coaching the team. The fact of the matter is why do every quarterback the bucs drafted became a bad quarterback when they comes to Tampa ?? How come this team has never developed a quarterback ?? Trask was good in college so what is the reason for him on why the bucs can’t develop him? And to your NFL people who you believe so much in has been worng a lot of time if not most of the time.
Yes, non-first-round QBs succeed, from Jimmy GQ (who was taken two picks before Trask’s slot) to Derek Carr (second round) to Russell Wilson and Kirk Cousins (third round) to Brady. But it’s not a high percentage. Trask is in good position to develop until you realize that it’s unlikely that the next Bucs head coach will want him as their quarterback, unless it’s Byron Leftwich. And even he may prefer a more established talent. Regarding this franchise not developing, Joe can’t go there. Trent Dilfer’s struggles have nothing to do with Josh Freeman or Jameis Winston giving the ball away like it’s free popcorn. –Joe
