Tom Brady And The Bucs Offense

October 11th, 2021

Scoring machine.

How much has Tom Brady meant to the Bucs offense? A lot.

Consider this little nugget Jenna Laine of ESPN dug up. Before Brady, the Bucs rarely scored 45 or more points. Basically, it happened once every 10 seasons.

With Brady? It’s common.

And two of those five times the quarterback responsible was Brady’s predecessor, Mr. Entertainment, America’s Quarterback, Pro Bowler Jameis Winston.

But how wild is it that a quarterback in his 40s is responsible for half the times the Bucs have scored 45 or more points?

Brady is leading what you call a sick offense.

i just hope we can keep tom here for 5 youthful years…

hopefully licht and the glazers have the keesters to sign him thru 2025…

a 4 year extension sure would be nice…

what if crazy tommy plays like 20 years in new england and like 10 in tampa…OMFG!!!

  4. Tampabaybucfan Says:

We were a class act to take the knee at the end of the game.

  5. Jason Says:

Considering how Gabbert’s first snap went, I think I would rather see Trask as the backup so he can get some playing time at the end of blowout victories. I got a feeling we may have a few more.

    Yes that was class
    Go Bucs

  7. TheShaz Says:

If you are a long time Bucs fan what we know is

    RUN-RUN-PASS-PUNT

and in the recent Jameis era

    WOW-WOW-UGH-PICK6

It is a bit hard for most to wrap their heads around how good this offense could be. I said could be because they left points on the field.

They better get cracking in Canton. Brady needs his own wing at the HOF

  8. AlabamaBucsFan Says:

Joe, don’t speak too loudly. Licht is going to talk to Brady in the off season about a contract extension. Everyone knows, even at 44, he is a top 3 QB. Praying we can afford him till he is 50.

  9. Listnfrmafar Says:

Other teams like Dallas, Rams, Bill’s, KC, Cleveland have two maybe 3 great receivers but throw a 4th in like Gronk not to mention Gio, that’s where Bucs separate themselves. What happened to KC, they keep playing like they are possibly no playoffs.

  10. Bird Says:

    Speaking of the chiefs …

They will make playoffs. Most likely and still be tough to beat in playoffs
But they literally ran same plays as super bowl. And same in most games i have watched this year.

  11. SufferingSince76 Says:

As long as Brady continues to like quality players around him, he will most likely offer a hometown discount, as he’s repeatedly done. I hope the Patriot fans never took this guy for granted.

  12. geno711 Says:

New high scoring passing NFL is a part of this equation.

Current and past Tampa Bay QB’s combined for 65 percent completion rate for 927 yards and 10 td’s yesterday.

Cleveland was the 1st team in NFL history yesterday to lose when scoring over 40 points and not having a turn over. Even the teams with good defenses get scored upon.

Cleveland rushed the ball 35 times and had time of possession of lead of 36.5 minutes to 23.5 minutes over the Chargers and still lost because of the passing NFL.

  13. orlbucfan Says:

Agree, Jason Says. I do not like Gabbert. Hope Brady keeps his longevity lucky charm handy.

  14. Ne+ bucs fan Says:

Suffering since 76,, never took him for granted,,it was like watching Larry Bird in his prime, which I took for granted, always said enjoy this moment,, cause it wasn’t going to last forever

  15. TB12 Fan Says:

I doubt there is a single Patriot fan whoo took Brady for granted. Some of the younger fans may have taken going to the Super Bowl for granted, though. I mean TB12 goes to the SB every other year so it’s easy to get spoiled. And I’d be shocked if TB12 DIDN’T take a discount to keep playing in TB. He wants good weapons and they cost money.
