Michael Lombardi: Bucs Will Bounce Back

The Bucs had an ugly trip to Los Angeles. But things will be better for them in their travels to New England.

Michael Lombardi took to his podcast “GM Shuffle” earlier this week and discussed briefly the state of the Bucs. Basically, Lombardi said Tampa Bay is in a pinch on defense between no pass rush and injuries in the secondary. Because of that, Lombardi said, Bucs defensive coordinator Todd Bowles has his hands tied.
“Here is the reality of the Bucs: You can’t run the ball on the Bucs. That’s true,” Lombardi said. “But you can throw the ball on the Bucs. You can throw the ball on the Bucs. And Todd Bowles is really left with a bad hand. He knows he can’t play man-to-man. He knows if it is a man-to-man game it’s a problem.
“Without Jason Pierre-Paul on the field, without his ability to really control the line of scrimmage, and a good quarterback who knows where he is going with it [can do damage to the Bucs.]”
Lombardi believes the Bucs will bounce back Sunday. He said the Patriots’ defense is “perfect for [Tom] Brady” and that the Bucs will be able to jump-start the run game.
Lombardi predicts Brady will get off 35 passes and have a strong night.

Kyle Trask is the future quarterback of the bucs he’s going to get a chance to become the bucs future quarterback. The thing is all yall see is Brady and Ira Kaufman and other bucs podcast got yall believing that Tras is not a good quarterback. The only thing you can go by at this point is what he did in college. He had better numbers than all the quarterbacks that was drafted before him and he played against the better competition. 43 touchdowns and just 8 picks last year. He played good the year before so I will ask yall this what proof do you have to be backed your beliefs about Trask?? His numbers are even better than Brady numbers in college!! But I get it yall live off of the national media narratives and beliefs just like Ira Kaufman and the pewter report who sware up and down they don’t go off what the national media say by calling them BSPN. So to all yall bucs fan don’t believe are even pay no attention to their anti Trask campaign !! It’s time to develop our own quarterback and stop trying to live off the legacy of other teams quarterback.

Buc1987. Trask played with players that’s not even on the roster right now. So you can’t judge him on that because of the players around him. I guess after Brady we just tanke the next season and lose most of our veteran players because they ain’t going to want to be apart of another rebuild. How about build a team around him then it’s a win win suitaion . If he fails then they can draft a quarterback and at least the rookie will have something around him versus bringing in a rookie with nothing around him and then tell him to go win a superbowl . Look at Travor Lawrence right now in Jacksonville are look at Sam Donald in New York vs right now in Carolina. We done that with the last quarterback and it didn’t work because the bucs done a bad job in building a team around him rather you believe or not that’s why Brady brought in all these extra hall of famers. That’s all what I’m saying and trust me I’m very calm . We really don’t know how long Brady is playing this is a year to year suitaion with Brady. It’s like yall are held hostage under Brady decision about playing or retiring.

Youngbucs. Mac Jones is a rookie playing on a rebuild team but watch and see . Brady was worst than him his first year starting Brady had a great defense that carried him . And the last I checked the saints are 2 and 1 with third string receivers . So what are you talking about?? Lol 😆 🤣 and by the way what happened to us without a running game you see Brady played good with no turnovers and we still lost lol 😆 😂 !! You said the running is a myth and it doesn’t matter if you have a running game remember? Why can’t they play man to man? All of our DBs are built for that style of defense. Even with 6 guys dropping back in coverage, that still leaves 5 to rush the passer.

All you do is make excuses for everything no wide outs no this no that when does it end? Also after 1 preseason game you were crowning bill and Mac lol now it’s a rebuild grow a pair. After 1 week you were poking your chest out about winston now he has no receivers again grow a pair. That’s a lot of money the pats spent in free agency who does that during a rebuild lol. Bill is below average without Brady he won’t make the playoffs. Winstons decisions are still questionable that has nothing to do with a receiver missing and damn sure has nothing to do with coaching. Youngbucs . When it comes to Jamies it doesn’t matter how he plays if he plays well then it’s the running game is why they winning . If the saints lose it’s because of him and not having his starting receivers doesn’t mean nothing to you. But last year when Brady was at 8 interceptions in 3 games it was because of his receivers was hurt and Godwin wasn’t playing yall make excuses for Brady when he struggled but for Jamies it’s the same issues that Brady has but that shouldn’t matter right lol lol .

To me Brady has played well but Brady does have a all-star roster on offense and you won’t even admit that you are the only one who believes that it’s all Brady. Last time I checked , Brady didn’t throw 30 int’s in a season. I don’t think 🤔 he’s thrown more than 20 in a year !! Tell me that year what was Tampa ranked that year in defense I believe like 31 right are some where close to that number. And I don’t look at Jamies making a decision on going to the Saints a bad idea for him . It was the best decision he made for his family. I’m not blind I understand the business side of the matter that’s why I’m not mad him for going to New Orleans. These guys care more about their lively hood more than wining a superbowl at that age . And go ask Mike how many yards he would have had with Jamies . Go ask Godwin how many yards he had with Jamies versus Brady ?? For those young guys it’s all about their lively hoods first then a superbowl.

We gotta admit , the first SB the Bucs won they made the raiders one dimensional , they couldn’t run and the bucs took over that game.
So even though Oneil is losing his head right now he’s got a point.
Brady was also picked in a different era where pocket passers were the norm. Now pocket passers are fading into history with Tommy, the last one before it’s turned over to the mobile QB, so can’t really compare this second round future bust to TB12, lol.
