Hip Injury For Ryan Jensen; Winfield Status Unclear
October 11th, 2021Joe’s always interested in new arrivals to the official Bucs injury report, and center Ryan Jensen was that guy today.
Jensen has some sort of hip issue and did not practice today. Bucco Bruce Arians did not offer an explanation at his news conference this afternoon.
As for starting playmaker safety Antoine Winfield, Jr., he missed Sunday’s game with concussion issues and Arians would not commit to Winfield being ready for Thursday night’s game at Philadephia. He said Winfield was doing a lot of “cognitive stuff” at practice today.
The NFL concussion protocol is a complicated animal. Guys can practice and not be available to play. Officially, Winfield was limited at today’s sesson.

It’s gonna rotate to Stennie/Ali/Cappa if he can’t go.

We got lucky last season with the injuries.
OJ wasn’t a legit loss, Gronk was better. Vita was a loss but came back in the post season.
This season……..its hitting us hard.
Brady and this offense can outscore most teams in the NFL, but that only happens if the O-Line gets the job done. If we lose Jensen…..that would hurt bad.

A hip injury, that explains why he wasn’t able to get his hips around to prevent a sack. 🥁

Robert Hainsey is the backup. Not excited to see that.
Limited strength, never played Center at any level, hurt every year in college.
I’d rather move Marpet to C and see Stinnie at G.

Ok, let’s not count Jensen out just yet.

Sly he may be listed as the backup but I wouldnt expect to see him snapping the ball to Brady if Jensen is out. I would expect Marpet to move to Center and see Stinne take snaps at guard.

I am getting Worried guys. The Hits (injuries) just keep on comin.

If Jensen was out, I can’t imagine that they’d actually start Hainsey. I’d assume they move Marpet back to center, but I don’t know if he’s been doing any reps there or not and how much rust he might have. But Hainsey looked terrible in the preseason, not saying he’s a bust or anything, but he’s moving from tackle to center and he’s a rookie, he’s not a guy I’d trust to start at this point.

Geez, we’ve gotten beaten up early and often this year.
October 11th, 2021 at 6:27 pm
Maybe it’s nothing but I get more concerned when Arians doesn’t discuss a specific player’s injury.

Hope this is just a rest type of deal. Too much of a mauler to not have out there.

That’s a depth chart thing… It’s only on paper. Likely Marpet slides to center and Stinnie goes in at LG. Get their best 5 out there.

A hip injury is a real problem for a big heavy lineman. Especially when trying to block 300lb opponents. Might be smart to sit him for one game rather than risking it becoming chronic for some or all the season. The shortest distance to Brady is right up the middle. On another topic did Jenson really go a whole game without a stupid penalty? Maybe a little pain in the ass kept him from being a pain in the ass. 🙂

Oh how we don’t need anymore injuries and especially someone like Jensen. Get him in a truckload of ice and give him a couple days off with a nice looking masseuse 😉

Jensen will play if he can walk.
