UPDATED 4:38 p.m. Joe sure hopes this doesn’t mean a dang thing.
When Bucs quarterback Tom Brady came off the field at the two-minute warning, Joe noticed on close-up shots Brady was flexing his throwing hand,as if he had banged it on someone’s helmet or someone stomped on it.
Fast-forward to the fourth quarter with the game in the bag and Blaine Gabbert in the game, CBS showed many images of what appeared to be Brady soaking his throwing hand in ice water in a cooler.
Joe sure hopes this is nothing but these were not reassuring images.
Hey, if a dude throws like Brady with a bum hand, all quarterbacks ought to have hurt hands.
UPDATED: Brady is not hiding his thumb injury. It was banged on a helmet in the first half.

He clearly did bang it on a helmet. I am pretty sure there would be some swelling but the fact he never came out means there were no complications.

Brady is one of the toughest dudes I’ve seen play football in the last 40+ years. If it’s possible, he’ll be out there for his team next week. GO BUCS.

Flew down for the game today. Had binoculars zoomed in on Brady everytime he went to his private seat under his very own little canopy type top. Watched them put a portable ac on him and a fan. Watched as he pulled what appeared to be a bottle of water. Probably seltzer, don’t know. It was a different color bottle than Aquafina or Dasani.

Definitely kept his hand in there like he was digging for something. But, at the 2 min warning Sherman and Leonard joined Brady in his private covered seating area. Brady jumped up giving out fist bumps and laughing with those two. Then stuck his left hand in the bag/cooler and was digging around again

Seems a little bruised but it obviously did not affect him.
Should be no big deal.
