Spreading Bucs love.
Shaq Barrett and Jason Pierre-Paul are in an envious position.
It seems Kay Adams is all over them.
The NFL Network’s It-Girl is fired up and peeved. Why? Folks are talking about pass-rushing duos all the time, Adams said this morning on “Good Morning Football,” but they sleep on the Bucs’ edge rushers who in their last three games boat raced Drew Brees, drama queen Aaron Rodgers and Pat Mahomes.
“How is it that the team that just won the Super Bowl and the pass-rushing duo that has three Super Bowl championships among them is not being mentioned?” Adams said of JPP and Shaq.
“It’s not cool.”
Adams is right on. And think about this: Three years ago Bucs fans were almost ashamed to wear Bucs gear in public the team was so embarrassingly dismal at rushing the passer. Now, folks on popular national TV shows holler that the Bucs don’t get enough run for their world-class edge rushers.
What a time to be alive!

Adams is right on. And think about this: Three years ago Bucs fans were almost ashamed to wear Bucs gear in public the team was so embarrassingly dismal at rushing the passer.

Agree with Kay but the defense, although poor, wasn’t the reason for the embarrassment.

Yes, Dooosh, they were. Any defense that doesn’t cover a slant pass (Lovie Smith) or liked the CB’s to be short and slow (Mike Smith) is an embarrassment. That, along with a poor pass rush, was a recipe for disaster.

Everyone wants to blame Jameis or the defense. The truth is Jameis was careless with the ball. The fumbles were as bad as the ints and the defense was wretched. Both sides of the ball caused us to lose and be on all the follies. I’m thankful for Brady and Bowles. Both saw the weaknesses and went to work. I think we’ve legitimately got a shot at repeating. Like joe always says what a great time to be a Bucs fan. Go Bucs!!!!

Having zero pass rush and giving wide receivers 7-12-yard cushions off the line was just begging to get fried by even the lowest of the low quarterbacks.

The defense was bad, no doubt, but Joe paints the lack of pass rush for being the main culprit for fans being embarrassed to wear their gear in public in this article.

There are a lot of really great pass rush duos. Cleveland and 49ers are tops.
The Bucs have a better all around DL, defense, and a more complimentary football team than anyone else.
That’s what counts.
