Gameday Tampa Bay

September 26th, 2021

Game 3

Bucs (2-0) at Rams (2-0)

Kickoff: 4:25 p.m.

TV: FOX (WTVT-TV Channel 13, locally), DirecTV Channel 716.

Streaming: Fans may stream the broadcast from Buccaneers.com or on a mobile device using one of the following: Buccaneers official app, or Yahoo! Sports app. Geographic restrictions apply.

Radio: Buccaneers Radio Network WXTB-FM 97.9 in the Tampa-St. Petersburg region (Transmisiones de radio en español en WTMP-FM 96.1 y WMGG-AM 1470 en Tampa). Additional stations throughout Florida on the Buccaneers Radio Network can be found here. The game will also be broadcast on SiriusXM Channel 383.

Weather: Per AccuWeather.com, just about a perfect day in Los Angeles. Now most think SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles is a dome. It is not, though it has a roof. It is open-air with a clear roof for protection from a rare rain shower. Tailgaters will enjoy temperatures in the high-60s and by gametime the temperature should be 73 and stay steady with zero percent chance of rain.

Odds: Per BetMGM, as of midnight Saturday, Bucs -1; over/under 55.5.

Zebras: The game will be officiated by Craig Wrolstad and his crew. Though Wrolstad and his gang have only worked one game this season, per Rotowire.com, they have thrown 17 penalties! So this ought to be a long game. Wrolstad’s crew love to throw holding flags, which is very frustrating to watch.

Outlook:  The way Joe looks at this game, the Bucs will at least have to hit their scoring average — 39 points a game. If that played out for the full 17-week season, it would set a new NFL record. Joe doesn’t like how the Bucs’ defense is playing right now. Oh, Joe is confident Bucs defensive coordinator Todd Bowles will have it figured out at some point. But until proven otherwise, the defense is struggling. Now take away Jason Pierre-Paul and the already stunted pass rush is additionally weakened. The way the secondary is playing, if you give Matt Stafford time he will roast them. So Joe believes the Bucs will have to push the ball big time on offense and if they don’t hit 40, Joe isn’t sure the Bucs will win. Joe really believes for the Bucs to win, they nearly will have to duplicate their last game in Los Angeles in 2019, when the Bucs won 55-40.
