Tom Brady Explains “Sleepy Tom” Comedy With President Biden

As Tampa Bay fans remember, most 2020 Bucs players and coaches headed to The White House before training camp to be honored as Super Bowl champions in a formal ceremony.
After 17 background checks, multiple COVID tests and a too-thorough sniffing by a government German Shepard, Joe was allowed in, too.
Eventually the festivities began and Tom Brady made a speech where he famously admitted to forgetting what down it was against the Bears last season and told the President that people made fun of him and called him Sleepy Tom.
“Why would they do that to me?” Brady then asked the President rhetorically. Brady also let the President know that a ton of people still don’t believe the Bucs won the Super Bowl.
Brady wasn’t looking to score political points, he explained on Let’s Go yesterday on SiriusXM NFL Radio.
Mr. Seven Rings said the White House visits can be a little boring so he was trying to spice things up.
“I was trying to bring a little levity to the situation,” Grady told host Jim Gray. “You know, it was a hot day out there [at The White House]. I didn’t want to go up there and be boring, so it was really fun that the President laughed along with it. I always think humility is a great trait for a lot of people. So when you can laugh at yourself and you can have a laugh with people, I think that’s a pretty fun thing to do. Especially when you think it might be a really serious moment, but I’m sure there’s a lot of other pressing things for the President to be doing.”
Joe is intrigued by how much fun Brady is having being a Buccaneer.
He’s been more open with media (see his Howard Stern interview), and Brady even admitted that about 90 percent of what he says publicly is baloney. His kid joined him at training camp and was looking to brawl, and now Brady’s doing a national radio show sponsored by a casino.

Why not? Joe writes what Joe finds interesting. Always has. Always will. It’s why Joe has been wildly successful.
Of course, nobody is forcing anyone to read anything. There are tens of thousands of stories on this site to read if you don’t like a particular item.

Personally, I am ALWAYS interested in what Joe has to say. This is my favorite sports site (except for sportspyder that lists everything I wanna read about the Bucs including all of Joe’s). I especially love that we can leave comments even tho some seem to be written by those who received the short end of the stick in the brain dept.

Wow Joe…you would think these guys are sports media guru’s. Or Tampa Bay legendary sports writers, like Ira. Joe…what you are doing is working. Well written… informative…entertaining. Keep up the good work. I’m sure it is no fun at times with dealing with the self aggrandized “experts in their own mind”. But seems like par for the course in todays world.

I could guess, and stand a little less than twenty percent chance of being somewhat close.

It always amazes me to see people on either side of politics get so worked up about politics. Such adamant HATE for people with opposing political viewpoints.
NEWSFLASH: This life just turns to dust at some point. Why waste your time getting so riled up over it and wasting precious time you’ll never get back?
Anyone that doesn’t think that both sides have some good ideas but also some bad ideas isn’t paying attention.
Spend more time focused on your own life, your own family, and your own happiness. Life is a struggle in one way or another for everyone. Don’t let the political machines continue to build your HATE for others, because that’s exactly what they’re doing and it’s working.
Now let’s all just get back to focusing our energy on hating the Saints.

Its public record Brady didn’t even vote in 2016 election. Red Trump hat was put in locker by Robert Kraft. Brady and Kraft are not on good terms go watch the netflix cameo he did for Paul RUdd where it looks like Brady is coming out of a massage parlor clearly taking shot at Kraft. It came out in 2019 Brady’s last year in NE. The media was all over Brady saying how could you do that to Mr Kraft. Brady knew he was gone. Fact is Tom Brady leans left, but is moderate and has little interest in politics. He would only have voted for Trump if Hell froze over. It’s the media’s creation that he is Republican.
