Watching Tom Brady Through The Years

June 16th, 2021

Aging with grace.

Few people south of Boston have seen Tom Brady in the three main phases of his career like Bucs AC/DC-loving general manager Jason Licht.

Licht was a scout with the Belicheats when New England drafted Brady. Licht returned to the Patriots nearly a decade later and saw Brady up close and personal.

And it looks as if Licht will be around when Brady retires.

So recently on the “Eye Test for Two” podcast, Licht discussed how Brady has grown as a quarterback over the three times their careers intersected.

“You could see early on that he was a natural leader,” Licht said. “Just a real natural leader. We saw it as a rookie.

“As he aged, he got more and more comfortable and better and better with his leadership. And leadership is very important to him. It is a very important part of being a great quarterback. And he knows that.”

When Licht returned to New England, Brady’s focus changed from establishing himself as the go-to guy in the Patriots locker room to career preservation.

“I would say my second tenure in New England, that’s when he started getting into his diet and his health and wanting to get ahead of it at that point so he could play longer,” Licht said. “And he could play and win more for his team.”

What about now, as Brady is about to turn 44 and is likely in the sunset of his career? Well, Licht doesn’t see a whole lot of change — an unquestioned leader hugely focused on his health.

“Fast forward to last year, when he came here, I would say I don’t see much of a difference in him physically than I did in 2009, in terms of him throwing the ball and in terms of him moving in the pocket,” Licht said. “It’s amazing what he has been able to do with his body.”

So could Brady get even better at age 44, healthier with a surgically-repaired knee, full knowledge of the playbook and the benefit of a full offseason?

What wonderful times we live in as Bucs fans. Joe feels very fortunate.

    Amen to that!

Joe, when are we going to discuss tyrann Mathieus attempt to wreck Bradyโ€™s career?
It was discussed on Msnbc and ESPN.

Right after the SuperBowl- The BS badger claimed that Brady called him an insult โ€œ that he wouldnt repeatโ€ those who talked to him, said he was implying that Brady had made a racial insult.
After he had posted that on his board, he was imformed that Brady had been miked the entire game. He immediately removed it from his board.

He planned to try and slander Brady, and only stopped, when he found out he would be shown to be a liar.

What if said this about Jensen? Or Brate, or Marpet.
With todays crybabies- a racial slur can ruin your career!
    Or your life!

I hope we have time to discuss this.

I still remember New England losing Drew Bledsoe to a devastating injury; the Patriots were in steady decline under Pete Carroll, and under Belichick there was a continuation of that trend. When the team began to win with Brady, folks were happy but never really thought Brady would start once Bledsoe returned. Back then Bledsoe was the highest-paid NFL QB, and considered one of the top two or three QBs in the league. The shocker was when Belichick continued with Brady once Bledsoe regained his health. Bledsoe had the second strongest arm in the game, perhaps only a smidgen behind Favre, and he was the first overall pick from a few years back. Brady was a late sixth round pick, a second year backup the fans didn’t notice until he abruptly turned around the franchise.

Why the TB12 method works. The unadvertised benefits of his protocol of hydration, electrolytes, and muscle plyability is improved electron flow. If you want to demystify disease understand this formula.

Unimpeded electron flow (chi/prana) = normal cell communication = normal cell behavior = health.

Like with any disease or symptoms, it is the blocked flow of energy (electrons) that impacts the body negatively. Therefore, disease is also based on the simple formula:

Impeded electron flow = cell miscommunication = cell malfunction = disease or symptoms.

Very specific diseases have very specific interruption and interference locations in the body. Healthy people get debilitating diseases because the electron flow is blocked in very specific places.

Long time–any medical school teach the simple formula demystifying disease?

    Capt Tim

I wondered whatever happened with that. I didnโ€™t realize he just backed away when he found out Brady was Micโ€™d. LoL.
I never thought it mattered anyway because any sane person would know-
as a 20 year Vet and the leader of diverse teams, there is not a chance in hell he would use a racial slur. The implication is idiotic

  16. BUCFAN4LIFE Says:
