NFC May Be Worse — Except For Bucs

Now this is a cool way of looking at things. Even if it came from a serial spreadsheeter.
Joe has to give the devil his due here. Follically-challenged Billy Barnwell of BSPN has a unique view of the NFC.
He believes the Bucs are the frontrunner in the conference not just because they are the defending Super Bowl champions, and not because the Bucs may have had the perfect offseason. No, Barnwell thinks the Bucs are the cream of the crop because the Bucs’ biggest obstacles to getting back to the Super Bowl have very likely grown worse.
What went wrong: Everyone got a year older? It’s really tough to find much that went wrong for Tampa this offseason. Its main competitors in the NFC got worse, as the Saints were forced to shed talent and the Packers might have started a blood feud with Aaron Rodgers. You could quibble with using a second-round pick on quarterback Kyle Trask as opposed to using that pick to try to add more depth up front, but Tampa used its third-round pick on Robert Hainsey instead.
Yeah, if drama queen Aaron Rodgers retires (“Ha, ha!”) or forces a trade, does anyone truly believe the Packers will return to the NFC title game?
And the Saints certainly got worse through attrition.
Washington? Give Joe a break! Yes, WTF’s defense may be the best in the NFC. But you have to score points to win. Ryan Fitzpatrick? LOL He s@cks!
The only decent team Joe thinks has actually improved during the offseason is the Rams.

The rams and bucs are the top contenders in the nfc imo, followed by niners, seahawks and packers.

With the Packers, everything depends on how the Rodgers soap opera ends. If Rodgers doesnt return or the drama continues into the season, then the Packers won’t be a major threat. Even if Jordan Love plays, and plays well, the Rodgers drama is going to be a distraction. They are not going to win 13 games.
If that’s the case, Rams will be the biggest opposition. 49ers is a popular sleeper pick. But I don’t see them going the distance with a rookie QB. But they may be improved over last year. Then you have Seattle. Good news is these 3 teams are in the same division. So they will beat each other up and cause some losses between themselves. So a decent 49er team may help our playoff seeding.
The South is never easy. But the Saints will take a step backwards after losing their Hall of Fame QB and some other key guys. Falcons traded away their star WR. And Panthers are still rebuilding. So unless we have some major injury issues, we should win the South without much trouble. Losing the division crown would be a disappointment.
By comparison, the AFC looks much more difficult. The AFC has some good teams.

Geez Joe, take it easy on Fitzmagic! lol He knows how to have fun slinging it around, love watching him play. And if he’s having one of his “A” games, he can still cause some damage. If his o-line holds up, could be an infamous trap game??? I don’t want that to happen, but it’s a possibility, just saying.

If Fitz s@cks in Joe’s opinion, what does that make our profanity table top yelling in cafeteria, bb shooting, crab leg stealing, alleged raping, alleged crotch uber grabbing, lying go teammates, suspended multiple times one more strike and your out, W eating, interception fumbling king, fired former #1 overall draft pick.
Fitz got shipped because he was too good of competition, and Coach didn’t want the distraction. Turns out, $30M (ahem ,$1m) per yr man was the problem.
Thank goodness he found Google to learn how to properly play QB, because this staff clearly can’t coach. Same staff that just won the SB.

Rams no question. That division is pretty tough
Rams tops but that is if matt stafford can stay healthy and play an entire season
49ers are a good team just need whoever plays at qb to put them over the top
Seahawks have russel wilson…enough said
Cardinals have a young team with dual threat qb but solid all around
Hopefully that division beats the crap out of each other like they always do
Other divisions not so great…and if packers do not have rodgers , bucs in driver seat. And i dont think rodgers is bluffing about sitting out season. Loved watching him play over the years but the last few , he showed what a nutjob he truly is. I think there is a screw loose. He basically cut off the rest of his family (even his own mom and dad) over some crazy hollywood actress (cant think of her name) And then just lanother qqmarried another hollywood actress after dating a few months.

It will be interesting to see who has the better career – Ryan Fitzpatrick or Jameis Winston. Right now it is Fitz but mostly because he has been around longer.
Jameis has had the advantage of working with all offensive based head coaches in his career and not having to work his way into the starter where I think Fitz has played more with defensive based head coaches.
The ability for Jameis to have the better career is there because he is now with one of the top 3 quarterback/play calling head coaches in the NFL. But I hate the Saints so I hope he fails again.
What we can say is that neither Fitz or Winston will make the HOF. Glad we have the greatest HOF QB on our team now. Go Bucs 2021 and repeat.

The Uber incident that got Winston suspended where Fitz got to play was NOT in college.
Many of us loved Fitz because he was a gamer and had some huge wins and huge games.
You can’t play the ole trusty ‘Race Card’ just because many Bucs fans didn’t like Winston (due to his turnovers and other issues). Many of us that don’t care for Winston were big fans of Doug Williams. We also fully supported Shaun King & Josh Freeman. Wait for it… yes, all of them were black Buccaneer QBs.
Also… “Positional Racism” is such a stupid attempt at a debate. How can people love their team, and love guys like Evans, White, David, Brooks, Sapp, JPP, Shaq, Ronde, etc. (all players who are black) yet somehow be ‘racist’ just because of the QB position? That makes zero sense.

THE RAMS are the team that scares me in the NFC.
Rams have a solid Defense and now you have Stafford finally getting a chance to get out of Detroit, a losing franchise in a small market, and play for a winning team in one of the biggest TV markets. Stafford is a solid QB and he may be dangerous with the Rams.

Bradybuc I don’t judge people base on what happened 9 years ago are even 7 years ago. I stood by a lot of men who got caught up in the me to movement. Jamies was a victim of the me to movement just like a lot of rich men was. They even brought something up on Payton Manning before. The uber case was a lie the girl changed her story first she said Jamies touch her for 4 seconds and then she said stop and he stopped. Then they threw that story out and said he touch me. Now Jamies a married man and ain’t nothing came on him since 2016 . And yall still try to judge him for something that probably didn’t happen . Oneilbuc, I assure you that race does not play a part in my dislike for Jay Miss. I’m sure you and I have similar political views. However, I don’t like my QB to throw 30 interceptions in a single season. I don’t like my QB to be unaware of impending pressure and fumble all the time. I don’t like my QB to make stupid decisions with the football. I also don’t like many of Jay Miss’s decisions off the football field. You need to put down that race card.

And regarding the topic of this article, I think the Rams are the biggest competition we face in the NFC this year. However, I’m not scared of Matthew Stafford. As I recall, he was the number one overall pick and while he is better than Jay Miss, he’s nothing terribly special.

And yes Jamies threw 30 picks with the same coach who helped coach Payton Manning to a 100 picks in 5 years. I like BA because he’s done a lot for the brothers in the NFL. I will never call him a racist because I know he’s not . Just like the Glazers they are the main reason I became a fan because they are one of the only franchise who believes in equality. The only thing I don’t like about BA is his high risk offense I know yall just can’t admit that he changed his offense because that will kill your Jamies scapegoat narratives. So now we have a new young quarterback who is sitting behind Brady and learning. Now if the bucs can’t develop him will it be fair to blame him or the coaching staff ??? The one thing I do know is BA never developed a quarterback on his own and it seems that the quarterback gets better when he leaves. And don’t tell me about Pittsburgh because him and the head coach didn’t get a long because he would veto his pass play and call a run play. And we all know how great Pittsburgh defense was and their running game.

If Garafalo stays healthy, San Fran’s No.2 pick will only get in the game with gadget plays. If the team stays healthy, they’ll be in the NFC championship game. In the Kansas City super bowl 4th quarter, Shanahan got away from the running game which was their bread and butter all year. Mistake No.2. Mistake No.1 was not kicking the field goal with 4 minutes left in the 4th quarter against New England in that Super Bowl. Falcons are on the Patriots 23 yard line, 1st and 10. Run the ball 3 times, force New England to use their time outs, kick the field goal and go up 2 scores.Shanahan’s Super Bowl 4th quarter decisions have not been good.

Roger Goddell hired an investigative lawyer( last name Wells) who investigated deflategate for 4 months and issued a 236 page report. in the report Wells stated there was no video evidence of anyone deflating the footballs, nobody admitted deflating the balls, and due to the atmospheric conditions in Massachusetts in January the possibility that the cold weather caused 1 cubic milliliter of air to be out of the balls could not be ruled out. Brady was suspended 4 games because he would not hand over his personal cell phone to Emperor Goddell. Goddell is not the Dept. of Justice and has no subpoena power. Brady decided not to appeal to the Supreme Court. Back then Justice Ginsberg decided which cases would be heard or not and there was no guarantee an appeal would happen. Goddell hands out the fines and suspensions to the players and when the players appeal Goddell is then the Judge who decides whether his fines and suspensions should be upheld. The Lawyers for The NFL players association made a huge error letting this happen.
