“Maybe Longer”

June 9th, 2021

Bucco Bruce Arians.

So when is Bucco Bruce Arians planning on packing it in to play golf full-time and possibly return to broadcasting?

A one-liner today has Joe re-thinking an answer.

After minicamp practice, Arians was asked if he’d like to keep coaching as long as Tom Brady keeps playing quarterback. The reply? “Maybe longer,” Arians said.

Hmmmmm, fans have heard Arians say he would have to think long and hard about continuing to coach if he lost key assistant coaches, which could happen after this season.

So Joe is wondering whether Arians’ comment today could be tied to behind-the-scenes talks with Todd Bowles and Byron Leftwich — to pay them gobs of cash to stick around as Arians’ assistants, given all the contract extensions, raises and promotions that Team Glazer has been throwing around lately, including to Arians and GM Jason Licht.

Or, on the down side, perhaps Arians knows Brady plans to retire after this season if he wins another ring.

Thought-provoking answer from Arians.

I was convinced that The Glazer Kids were true jobbers & causing fans intergenerational trauma but they’re kicking ass too now. Unity in the community:)

Pete… I thought the kids were extremely bright. But maybe Malcolm didn’t really get them up to speed on all the ins and outs of running an organization. And lets face it…the Oakland/Gruden deal was a once in a lifetime transaction. But in any case, they seem to have it down cold now. And I couldn’t be happier about it.

I hope Bowles stays. I don’t see it happening after this season. I’m sure they are grooming his replacement.

My thought is that Bruce has his replacement on staff. Part of Bruces legacy will be tied to the success of his successor. I think Bruce cares about this not just for his legacy but because he cares about the next HC as a man.

So I dont think Bruce leaves with Brady. Bruce is gonna make sure the next guy has a quality QB to work with. If Trask is the next QB(lets just say) Bruce isnt going to dump him into the lap of the next HC. He will work with him for a year and let the next guy decide if he needs an upgrade or not. Arians will set the next coach up for success, thats my guess.

    Just win this year

Sounds like the Glazers bought some bitcoin last year when it was $4000.

Marv Levy was an outstanding coach, much older than Arians.

BA has the lebron drama queen attitude just on a lower scale. Dude you just said a few weeks you didn’t know because you didn’t want to have to teach a bunch of new coaches your way…. Which is it make up your mind

  9. DRFEELGOOD Says:

I think Brady comes back next year if we win it this year to try to be the first team in history to Threepeat. If we don’t win it, I could see him retiring, but damn he still looks filthy good sometimes!!

  10. Chris@Apple Roof Cleaning Tampa Says:

If we win it all this year, I can see Brady retiring, vs going for a Threepeat. The reason I say that is we will certainly be torn apart with loss of players/coaches, etc, etc.
I can see Arians hanging around with either scenario, and why not ?
He has it made in the shade here, and is paid very well to ride around in his Golf Cart.

Just do what your health says. Be happy with or without being a head coach.. ring out of breathing on the field if this is your joy in life. Enjoy to the max.

Fame is fleeting for all of us.
