Joe Tryon Debut May Be Next Week
June 2nd, 2021The wait may end in a few days.
The Bucs made edge rusher Joe Tryon the No. 32 overall pick. Their first round draft pick. But because of minor knee surgery (say the Bucs), Tryon has had his debut delayed.
Tryon was not on the practice field with the rest of the Bucs rookies during rookie minicamp, nor has he been practicing during OTAs. Tryon, periodically, has been running on a side practice field.
That may change next week, Bucs Super Bowl-winning coach Bucco Bruce Arians said yesterday.
“Oh yeah, he’s real close,” Arians said when asked for an update on Tryon. Arians expects him to practice next week during mandatory minicamp.
So it seems the first time Tryon will step on a field wearing a Bucs jersey, albeit a practice jersey, will be next week.
Hey, so long as he is able to strap it on to open the season against Dallas, so be it.

A hard working kid who is paying for his sisters med school, and moms bills with his first pay check. I’m rooting for him.
