NFL Claims Bucs Approved For Full Capacity Home Games

May 26th, 2021

One of the crimes in the wake of lockdown restrictions to help deaden the spread of The Sickness last year was that Bucs fans were robbed of witnessing in-person football’s equivalent of Halley’s Comet.

That would be a Bucs Super Bowl-winning season.

Oh, it was fabulous that some Bucs fans were able to witness this football celestial event of the Bucs winning the Super Bowl at The Licht House. But it was, in retrospect, way too few.

Because of lockdown restrictions, The Licht House was limited to a percentage of capacity.

Apparently, that should not be the case this year. Per Judy Battista of NFL Network, in a conference call with NFL team presidents, it was learned that 30 of the 32 NFL teams have been given the green light to allow full stadium capacity.

The two teams who have yet to receive approval from local authorities? Per The Red Zone, that would be Indianapolis and Denver.

So while many Bucs fans were jobbed of a truly special season last year, that apparently won’t be the case this fall. Joe is guessing so long as there isn’t a dramatic rebound of The Sickness.

Let’s just hope all the idiots that wear masks while alone in their cars won’t
    Be tailgating at RayJay🙏

  4. August 1976 Buc Says:

Going to be an epic week 1 Thursday night game, packed house with fans screaming their lungs out, watching Dallas take a seal clubbing beatdown.

GO WORLD CHAMPION BUCS!!!! 20-0 BABY!!!!

  5. frankbucsfan Says:

Buckaroo Boozie, would it be possible for you to provide the rest of us with the location to obtain the all encompassing knowledge that you obviously have regarding everyone else’s health concerns and their efforts to protect themselves? asking for a friend.

  6. Gofortheface30 Says:

Right – well let’s just see what our lame beta mayor decides. Dems like to say “fOLloW thE SCiEnCe-“ but conveniently fail to thank operation warp speed for the scientific break through and the very reason for our near return to normalcy to begin with, but all good you guys let’s focus on the important things like pronouns! And people wanting to call themselves non binary, mmmm smart! 🤔👉🏼🧠

  7. SB Says:

That’s it! I am flying down for a game this yr.

  8. SB Says:

And I’m not wearing a mask. Just sayin’

  9. Rayjay1122 Says:

Hey Joe, is the 2021 schedule going to replace 2020 on the JBF site soon? Just curious.

  10. TampaTown Says:

I think that first game, everyone back in their assigned seats, full house, team running out of the tunnel, is going to be very emotional. I can’t wait! Now if we could just get better music and JumboTron operations and video. Whoever is in charge of that really needs to step up their game.

  11. Steven007 Says:

I was fortunate enough to go to five home games last year, including the soft reopening of the stadium. While the mask mandate was obviously fully in force, you didn’t have to wear it when you were eating or drinking. So the obvious fix was to have a drink in hand at all times which is basically what me and my buddies did all season. Never had an issue.

  12. Medicated Pete Says:

I watch the game from my own homemade pirate ship in the middle of lake Tarpon

  13. HeyItsAdam Says:

30 of 32 stadiums gave approval for a FULL STADIUM in August 2021.

Meanwhile, Motley Crue/Poison/Def Leppard re-scehduled their summer tour for 2022 because “safety?” They were supposed to be at the Citrus Bowl in August of 2021.

This whole thing was a joke #SCAMDEMIC.

  14. Evolvingbucsfan Says:

Couldn’t afford the Super Bowl ticket, and prices are ridiculous this season as well for regular season games. But that’s the price you pay for being super bowl champs. I’ll watch from my couch as usual donning my Bucs gear but a lot more confident of the outcome of the games now.

  15. gbobucsfan Says:

Wonder if this means more tickets will be available for sale? Last I checked, season tickets were sold out (sans the crappy seats)

  16. Bird Says:

    Cant wait!

  17. Cobraboy Says:

I will be there for the ‘Fins game with the wifely babe in tow.

Dominicans don’t understand football. Baseball, yes; football, no.

Her out-of-the-mouths-of- babes first comment when I asked her what she thought of NFL football: “The players are very rude to each other…” Perfect comment.

  18. HeyItsAdam Says:

    DEAR GBOBUCSFAN:

Get the crappy seats for a season, even if you re-sell all the seats. You’ll get first dibs to upgrade/relocate as a season ticket holder.

  19. Godlovesbucs Says:

That would be a great topic, how many future HOF players were on the team last year?

    Yes
    A.B.
    Brady
    Gronkowski

    Probably
    Evans
    Suh

    Maybe
    JPP
    LVD

    Too early to tell
    Wirfs
    Marpet
    Vea
    Winfield
    Godwin
    White

Man, that would be unreal for a superbowl team to have so many HOF players on it.

  20. Godlovesbucs Says:

Ah dang, thought I was on the Vaughn post…

  21. '79 Defense Says:

I’m not going to complain that we couldn’t have a full stadium last year because the end result of the season made up for it, but great to hear that the stadium will be packed to see a Bucs team with Tom Freaking Brady at the controls!

  22. Steve Jackson Says:

Can you imagine what it is going to sound like that first game a night game against the Cowboys

  23. SRQ Bucs Fan Says:

Tampa Town – they’re still playing their stupid videos “Get Loud” etc. instead of live action play on the field?

  24. BA4President Says:

Joe, is the Bucs training camp starting on July 31st as well?

  25. Rod Munch Says:

[In part to prevent a non-football flamewar and in part to be clear, Joe deleted this. The Super Bowl guidelines and protocols were set by the NFL which is based in Manhattan, along with the NFLPA. The game was not run or overseen by the Bucs or local officials. It was not a Bucs home game (even though they played at home). — Joe]

  26. Joe Says:

Joe, is the Bucs training camp starting on July 31st as well?

Bucs have not released any training camp info. That usually won’t come until late June or early July. Joe has heard training camp could open as early as July 24. Again, do not know anything specific.

  27. crazyBucs_CL Says:

i hope they stick to this decision. great news. still let wait and see if they put any conditions to be able to get in the stadium. no trust on NFL, no trust in the system… period.

  28. JimmyJack Says:

Are we going to be subjected to probing before entry?

  29. TampaTown Says:

    SRQ

Stupid videos are usually in commercial breaks, time outs, or while players are still in the huddle. By the time they snap the ball it always goes right to the play and then usually replay. The music choices have been horrible for awhile. For opening day I’m hoping for a video montage of SB37 highlights combined with SB55 highlights, maybe starting with “Lose yourself” , the de facto theme song of SB37, then merge into another song like “All I do is win”. Yes I’ve put too much thought into this but I can’t help it I’m so psyched 😂

  30. Bucnjim Says:

So much I’d like to say but I’m just going to enjoy the thought of full stadiums, people high fiving strangers, and tailgating with fans you just met in the parking lot.

  31. BucEmUp Says:

No masks.or requirment of showing vaccination proof hopefully. This SHOULD still be a free country. If you are that scared stay home.

  32. Rod Munch Says:

Joe – I’m fine with you deleting you it, but wait, on the SB the NFL set the attendance? Are you certain on that? I thought the NFL wanted more people there and the city blocked it – am I completely misremembering it?

I know with Wrestlemania they wanted to have double the crowd but the idiot mayor blocked it, ignoring all available science and the fact they had the SB to prove it wouldn’t be a “super spreader” – just like it’s the mayor is now keeping the Lightning playing in front of half a crowd.

The pandemic is over, it’s done. It’s time to move on, but there are petty tyrants out there who want to do everything to hold onto their power and will try to make sure things don’t return to normal for as long as possible.

  33. Rod Munch Says:

BucEmUp – I got the vaccine, but I’m never going to participate or fill out paperwork for events where they demand to know my vaccine status. People who want the vaccine can get it, and they’re basically completely protected from the vid, and they’re at 99.9999% not going to get a serious case if they did get it. Everyone should be free to do what they want, no one is at risk who isn’t willing to take that risk. The “papers, please” crowd are the ones who are the biggest obstacle to people getting the vaccine.

  34. Denise Neicy Saltmarch Says:

I will be thinking hard this year. For I know the full capacity of the stadium will be cooled fanned , and the momento in us will show a shine let no talk down about the bucs without given dem a heads up. Love you TBBucs!!!

  35. stpetebucsfan Says:

And so my neighbor down the street is a miracle. He survived major heart surgery only to require a lung transplant.

Nobody would do it in Florida…not TGH…not Shands…Duke wouldn’t do it…he found a Doc in Houston who did is successfully.

Now of course like all transplant patients he is immunocompromised. He had to wear a mask before they were fashionable and never did he once WHINE AND CRY about losing his freedumb!

Now he finds out last week that his shots will not protect immunocromprised people…IE all organ transplant recipients.

And so what just freaking amazes me is that the wusses who are afraid of messing up their makeup or getting some rash from wearing a mask dare to call those who DO wear masks…sometimes to protect close friends as the snowflakes. I’m not afraid of a freaking mask. I’m MANLY ENOUGH to tolerate the pain!!!!

  36. Jmarkbuc Says:

Every school kid has this thing called an immunization record… and not one person ever bitched about it.

Funny thing , perception versus reality.
