“I Fully Expect Tampa To Win The Damn Game”

The scent of football is really in the air again with a real game on a real schedule, Cowboys at Bucs on Thursday night, Sept. 9.
And of course, with a game to talk about, the blabbering about the Bucs and Cowboys was front and center this morning on BSPN.
On “Stay In Bed” (aka Get Up), host Mike Greenberg called the matchup a “definitive loss” for Dallas and noted the Bucs will be favored by 10 or more points by kickoff.
Former Patriot and Tom Brady buddy Rob Ninkovich says he’s looking to see how the speed of the Bucs defense might eat up Dak Prescott and his potentially shaky confidence coming off a serious ankle injury that required surgery.
Ex-Cowboys defensive lineman Marcus Spears pulled no punches, saying “I fully expect Tampa to win the damn game.” He noted it’s a litmus test for the Cowboys as they try to aspire to be like the Bucs and the other beasts of the NFC.
Another D-lineman, Chris Canty, who won a Super Bowl ring alongside Jason Pierre-Paul with the Giants, spoke in a later broadcast about his skepticism that Prescott can rebound so quickly against a ferocious and fast Bucs defense.
Joe’s just fired up to have a game to obsess about — 16 more coming tonight at 8 p.m.

Jerry Jones is a fantastic business man and gosh damn awful as a gm. I used to be a casual cowboys fan (unless they were playing us) since Emmitt and Irvin were fantastic players and fun to watch. I have zero respect for that organization now and I truly feel sorry for their fans.

Certainly will be the right time to play them. With only three preseason games the Boys, and Dak should be pretty rusty compared to us.
