Ex-Bucs (?) And Former Tom Brady Teammates Explain What Makes Tom Brady Great

May 29th, 2021

What makes him great?

There is something called “Volume Sports.” Joe knows little about it but is intrigued because it seems former Bucs corner Aqib Talib is affiliated with them.

In a Zoom chat the outfit published on social media, Talib hosted an interview with former (?) Bucs running back Shady McCoy.

So if a guy is unsigned at the end of May, it generally signals he will not return to his previous team. And Joe has heard no rumblings that the Bucs are bringing Shady back.

Given that the team signed Giovani Bernard, specifically to do Shady’s job in catching the ball out of the backfield, it sure smells as if Shady is an ex-Bucs running back.

Both players played with Brady. Talib in New England and Shady here in Tampa Bay. The two discussed what makes the park-violating, home-invading, NFLPA-ignoring, down-forgetting, handshake-stiffing, jet-ski-losing, biscuit-baking, tequila-shooting, smartphone-phobic, waffle-grilling, trophy-throwing, roller-coaster-scared, numbers-rules-peeved, Bucs-Super-Bowl-winning quarterback great.

Talib did most of the listening but you could sure tell the way he nodded his head and smiled he fully agreed with Shady.

Shady explained Brady knows all about his new teammates before they walk in the building. He does research on them. That right away demonstrates the starting quarterback is interested in them and welcoming them inside the Bucs’ family.

Instant bond.

Secondly, which is cool, is Brady’s smarts and experience. Shady detailed an offensive team meeting with the Bucs in which Brady explained how a team would defend them. Bucs coaches (unnamed) were not convinced but weren’t going to push back hard on Brady. The coaches told Brady that the opponent hadn’t played that type of defense in years.

Sure enough, Brady was right on point. The opponent defended the Bucs exactly how Brady told the coaches they would.

Of course, a lot of that is experience. But as Shady said, it is also just being downright smart.

Joe guesses this is what you called “leadership?”

It’s true, Brady brings so much more to the game than just arm strength. The dude KNOWS what he’s doing. GO BUCS!

That also explains some of the issues at the beginning of last season, coaches thinking one way Brady another. I guess if you’ve played 31 if the 32 NFL teams, you may have an udea.of how they defend you. Maybe Brady can teach Howard how to drop and roll so he stays healthy.

As I said when we first got him we got the best Head coach in New England if we win this year there is a good argument that without Belichick, Brady could have won more super bowls than the six. Brady is a motivator on both the offense and defense and brings out the best of the players available this is the credit that Belichick has always been given and has minimized the team in the areas of the offense and also defense at times. If Brady had the influence in New England as he has here in Tampa and was able to express himself more, I believe it is a strong argument that New England would have won more championships and been able to retain players who would want to play in a less volatile environment but a more team oriented environment.

    “It amazes Kobe

Do people watch the games or just watch GMFB NFL network the day after?

The Bucs won because the BUC defense took over and dominated thruout the playoffs

Todd Bowls kept on stopping Rogers possession after possession in Lambeau field and Brady kept on throwing 3 interceptions on short fields to make the game somewhat close

Kobe will not tolerate all this misinformation!

  8. Colonel Angus Says:

I remember the offense scoring 30pts every playoff game. 31pts vs Skins, 31pts vs Saints, 30pts vs Pack and 31pts vs Chiefs.

lol lol “Kobe will not tolerate all this misinformation!

Hey Kobe, you seemed to have forgotten a little something, like 30+ points a game average from the offense.

Maybe you remember “Mr Heineken” the beer man QB lol of the WFT, the Bucs defense was not that great in the game, they were good enough, but it was the offense that won that game.

“Kobe will not tolerate all this misinformation!” lol

It is a TEAM game bro. The defense balled out, to end up winning the SB, but they did it with a 30+ average a game points scored.

“Kobe will not tolerate all this misinformation!”

    GO WORLD CHAMPION BUCS!!!!!!!!

    @ 2021:
We are fortunate to have him and the coaching staff in place as they are more about winning than recognition. I am hoping that when he decides to retire that he might join the coaching staff as I believe he would make a great Head coach for us in the future.

  12. Buczilla Says:

Cool story and it’s snippets like this that give us an idea of what it takes to be the best football player in history.

  13. Brent Says:

Can you imagine just for a moment we could pull off a repeat that would give Brady 8 Super Bowl rings the buccaneers 3 lombardies half of what New England has but then Brady becomes a coach with the Box eventually to be a head coach and wins more Super Bowld and rings how crazy would that be Thee new dynasty 2020 -?
