Rob Gronkowski: Super Bowl Winner, World Record Holder
April 24th, 2021Bucs’ foot-rubbing, car-littering tight end Rob Gronkowski has a fistful of rings to his name. Now, he’s sitting on top of the world.
While football may rule the sports landscape in America, where spring college games on TV pull more eyeballs than regular season baseball games and worthless preseason NFL games have more viewers than Stanley Cup Finals broadcasts, Gronk can now actually brag about something that may impress some rice farmer in Vietnam or a shepherd in Afghanistan.
Gronk broke the Guinness World Record mark for fielding the highest altitude football drop in history.
Gronk, who played for Arizona in college, returned to the Tuscon campus today to be a celebrity coach in the Wildcats’ spring football game along with fellow alumnus Tedy Bruschi. But there was more: Gronk decided to try to catch a football dropped from a chopper hovering above the Arizona Stadium field.
On the third attempt, Gronk reached from his college past, made sure to bear down and caught the ball.
And he celebrated with a Gronkspike. Of course he did.
Life is good for Gronk. He is a Super Bowl champion (again), goes home to Camille Kostek (Ira never heard of her until last week — talk about out of touch! C’mon, Ira!) and is now a proud holder of a world record.

When I grow up I want to be Gronk. Life is good!!! Under his mattress is all the money he made from playing football, NEVER spent a penny. Lives off endorsements.

Gronk was fun to watch last season–he had a healthy season, good to see him without the braces and harnesses etc

Awesome….dude knows how to have fun. I like when he got pissed at himself, then calmed down….frustration and anger leads to confusion…just relax a little….then it happens
