Aaron – You can find corners and safeties in the 2nd and 3rd rounds, but it’s a lot harder to find edge rushers there. Overall I’m meh on the pick, but that’s really from just not knowing much about the guy — plus the fact he willingly sat out a year. The kid only has, I believe, only one year as a starter, as seeing that 2nd full year of starting would be huge in scouting him. But then again, if he’s good, then that 2nd full year of starting might have made him a much higher pick.
So it’s a bit of a gamble, but you’re picking 32, and generally everything is going to be gamble at this point if you’re going for big money positions like edge rusher.
so he’s such an awesome edge rusher…when ever other team wants and needs an edge rusher…lets just leave him to the superbowl champs?…? Really, I hope it works out for us.
Sign me up for 6’5”/260 lbs/4.6 40 is a nice starting off point
More importantly, it gives us a lethal 1-2 punch at hyphenated names….I’m putting our top 2 of Murphy-Bunting and Tryon-Shoyinka against any other Team’s top 2 hands down :p
He’s a Buc so, I love the pick. The beauty is that we could’ve picked ANY position there.
Tyron will sit behind two of the best. If he can maximize this opportunity, maybe he can be the next defensive star on a perennial powerhouse.
Yeah, I said it. Perennial!
@Aaron, Brady was passed over 198 times. Licht has done a good job, IMO. I wanted an EDGE, one that can contribute a little this season, and maybe replace JPP next year. I trust Licht knows more than the idiots in here.
Very happy with the position they chose. Idk much about Joe Tryon other than he looks like a physical specimen, but edge was the right choice at 32. Kinda hope they double up on DL in round 2 whether it be edge again or IDL.
Just not a fan of taking any player who opted out. I want football psychos like TB12 and JPP who put the game above all else. Yes, I know I’m part of the problem. Lol.
His potential is awesome. Raw ya but big, strong and fast. Just what was needed if JPP or Shack need a break or get hurt. He has two great outside lbs to learn from and first class coaching. If he gets coached up to his potential he can be a beast. Bucs can afford to gamble based on his athleticism . Potentially a future true badass at the position. JPP will push this kid to the max. Great backup for now to give JPP a breather when needed. Could get significant reps later on in the very long season. Bucs need a similar offense lineman to coach up to backup initially and starter sooner than later.
Yes. Love this pick. Coach this guy up and let him learn from 2 of the best. Have suh give him that attitude let saq teach him moves and jpp give him the grit that you have and boom this guy will be a beast now go get us a dam good DB Jason and let’s make this defense as elite as our offense
Let people like Aaron have their say without getting personal. He tried and tried and tried and finally had to start with the SwampAss thing. For people like me that want to know how the mood of this team’s fans is going, you ruin it with beating people up behind a screen instead of letting them have an opinion at all. Tolerance people!! You Dems say you have it, but only if we agree with your opinion.

Ok, let me try…great pick…I see 20 sacks a year…how did 31 other teams miss this pick
April 30th, 2021 at 1:34 am
Are u mental ? Anyone they picked would’ve been passed up by 31 other teams.
April 30th, 2021 at 1:38 am
Agree – so anyone I present as an alternative makes me crazy? we could use another CB or free Safety…?
April 30th, 2021 at 1:39 am
Aaron is officially a full fledged cretin and one to be ignored.
Know what? When the Bucs pick at 64, 31 teams will have passed on that player also.
April 30th, 2021 at 1:40 am
Go take a crapload of darvocet or something, Aaron.
April 30th, 2021 at 1:42 am
LOL, amazing comment @kentucky
My pick would be Azeez Ojulari, but I’m very happy with Tryon
2o round: Quinn Meinerz C Wisconsin-Whitewater

As of this moment, the “ayes” are at 80, the “nays” are at…………………3
Congrats, Aaron, that snad spur in your panties is obviouslu uncomfortable. Tell you what — the Texans need fans. Try them out.
April 30th, 2021 at 1:44 am
I have to accept what they do – I though Joe Buc was a place to have an opinion
April 30th, 2021 at 1:45 am
LOL – I get to root for 50% chance that a draft pick sucks…
April 30th, 2021 at 2:00 am
Aaron, in 2 years time you’ll either get to be right and miserable, or happy and wrong. Congratulations!
April 30th, 2021 at 2:02 am
I’m f#cking loving it. This guy was number my defensive pick. Gonna be a hemorrhoid on JPP, Shaq, and Suh. Very happy.
Can I copyright JPPJr right now? All these Joes gonna get all dizzy.
April 30th, 2021 at 2:02 am
*my number one
April 30th, 2021 at 2:07 am
@leighroy – right! I want us to win…in my opinion we should have drafted a S, CB etc…just expressing an opinion.

Please Everyone, go to bed…Its my fault that I just dont see the next Lawrence Taylor, that no else other than the Bucs could see…
April 30th, 2021 at 4:11 am
It’s a solid pick at a premium position
Sign me up for 6’5”/260 lbs/4.6 40 is a nice starting off point

@Joe,
Didn’t your guy Emory Hunt have Tryon as his #1 rated Edge Rusher of the entire Draft class?!

Seems reasonable to me…🤔

It’s unclear what Tryon can be, but that can be said for any player drafted after the top 15-20…and it gets more muddles from there.
At least it was a Big Ugly. I hope more BU’s are to come.
April 30th, 2021 at 8:53 am
Washington only played 4 games last year so he didn’t really set out much.

Hard to recall a more resounding approval of a pick…..in particular one at 32 when so many different positions were in play…..
So…..we like edge rushers and in particular of those remaining….we like this one.
April 30th, 2021 at 11:05 am
lots of OL help in round 2….Quinn Merneiz..Trey Smith…dickerson but he has tons of injuries….the huge T outta UF stone forsyth…ben cleveland…
