Why does everyone seem intent on writing Gabbert out of the script? With the talented QB coaches we have, if THEY feel comfortable with BG as #2, get AB back who will actually play!
Didn’t Bridgewater start 5 or 6 games for the Saints a few years back and only lost one game? I believe he could get you through a temporary Qb injury. I voted don’t know cause AB could make a bigger difference in ‘21. I don’t know if Gabbert’s familiarity with the system would give him an immediate advantage.
Teddy (KG) B went 5-0 for the Saints two years ago and parlayed it into a big deal with Carolina. Only way it works is if the Panthers outright cut him and he signs for around league minimum. The hedge fund owner really doesn’t like Teddy’s game…so it’s possible.
If it wasn’t for his off field rep AB would be considered in the top tier of all NFL WR’s. He’s a potential Pro Bowler.
As far as Teddy I agree completely with Todd.
Gabbert has been with the team. He knows the offense and he knows Brady.
If Brady likes him why mess with success. Gabbert’s last season where he started three games he went 2-1 with a 60% completion rate. His TD and Int ratio was mediocre not horrible.
IF this team is as good as we believe…and IF we continue to improve our running game…with this OL…Either Gabbert or Teddy can win. They are prototypical backups. They’re not going to carry a team but if the team is good they can win…if the team is great they can win BIG. I think our team might be getting “close” to great with terrific balance on both sides of the ball.
Our D is getting better and will be improved next year with our experience.
Gabbert can win with this team. So can Teddy but if it’s a wash why bring another face into the locker room when Gabbert has familiarity and his teammates have familiarity with him.
Brown would play and contribute in each game…
Teddy would not and being fragile could put the Bucs in an even worse situation by playing for an injured Brady and getting hurt himself… NO THANKS!

Brown helps them win it all. If Brady goes down, I’m not sure that Bridgewater can.

Teddy is dink/dunk, takes away much of what Bucs normally do. He ALSO seems incapable of pulling off drives at crunch time
