Returning?
It seems the Bucs are about to close a deal on defensive lineman Ndamukong Suh.
Per the twittering of Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Bucs are finishing up a deal to keep Suh with the Bucs at least through the 2021 season.

This is just great news. Suh is the consummate pro. Everywhere he plays, the defense is just better.
And the thing coaches love about guys like Suh? They answer the bell on Sundays. The only games Suh ever missed were from his suspension when he played in Detroit a lifetime ago. That kind of durability for a quality defensive lineman is priceless.

This is huge. The last “need” IMO is now done. Man I wanted to draft this guy so bad (along with a lot of you) and was ticked when Detroit took him. But in hindsight I’m glad we got the older more mature Suh. Things worked out!!

This is icing on the cake! And totally unexpected to be able to keep the main cogs. I was going to be happy if we kept the main 3 Godwin, Shaq, and David. Gronk, succup and now Suh…wow. great job front office. Thanks to the players for team friendly deals. Now get AB at incentive heavy deal, in case legal issues prevent him from playing. And a RB that can catch and block!

SUH signed a one-year deal. !!!
I’d love to know where they stand with the cap. I have no idea, hard to keep track. And not my job. LoL.

Suh is really the key to the Bucs’ defense IMO. Couldn’t be happier that he re-signed, even if it’s just for 1 year not 2 years. Now we need to draft a stud DT to learn from him this year. I’m convinced that Suh’s the reason Will Gholston blew up this year & why Vea made it back for the playoffs. His influence on our DLine has been HUGE.

I agree the six big horses are in the barn. Add AB or Lenny and next year should be another great season. I would never plan on 2 SB’s in a row. Just so many factors that have to come together. Still a bit concerned about back-up QB, What’s the plan to back-up and ultimately replace Tom Terrific?

I thought Suh, David and Barrett were the big three. Especially with no option at DT. Now the defense can maintain while the offense takes off

I agree Robert, now I’d like to see McCoy back as a rotation DT for a cheap one year deal. This is his last chance to get a ring and he could add depth to the line.

FYI, McCoy sucks Robert. Great guy but soft football player. There is a reason we packed his bags out of town. JPP called his arse out in the locker room a few years ago from what I hear. We dont need his tired arse, time to draft young guys to start grooming.

Great sighting. This guy is an absolute beast. Him an Vea thrive off one another. You can’t double team them both and it sets up well for blitzes from White , David and everyone else. Shaq Barrett should be doing cartwheels over this. Now all we need is to somehow draft Najee Harris !
