Lavonte David Says Tom Brady’ Trophy Toss Wasn’t Incredibly Impressive
March 6th, 2021Whoa!
Nobody at One Buc Palace throws shade on anything Tom Brady does. What’s going on here?
An iconic Buccaneer who could be just nine days from a new team, Super Bowl linebacker Lavonte David, was asked on SiriusXM NFL Radio yesterday what was a more impressive post-victory celebration: Tom Brady’s Lombardi Trophy throw over open water to Cameron Brate during a boat parade, or Devin White doing a lap with the trophy atop his horse on The Licht House field.
David didn’t struggle to answer.
The “W’ goes to White.
“I’m not sure that was a far toss, and he had somebody reliable to lean on in Cameron Brate to catch it,” David said of Brady’s throw. “But Devin taking a lap around the stadium on a horse [with the Lombardi trophy] was incredible. … That’s definitely going to be a legendary memorial moment.”
Man, maybe David really is leaving in free agency in nine short days. How dare he not pick The Goat! Yes, Joe’s kidding, but it is surprising to here anything from a Buccaneer that doesn’t represent Brady worship.
Plus, Joe thinks David is wrong. The trophy throw/completion definitely was more impressive.

IDK Whites celebration was pretty boss.

White’s gallop would’ve been a lot more impressive if it had been done with fans in the stands. The empty stadium kinda took the wow factor out of it.

I’m going to say this again. Is anyone concerned Devin was wearing shortie shorts while riding Dream?

It’s just a guy riding a horse…bfd.

One was planned (still awesome) and one was spontaneous by a buzzed GOAT on live tv.

I vote for Devin. Must have took some string pulling to get permission for white to take his horse in RayJay, Bucs don’t own the stadium.
Any couple of drunk dudes can toss something from one boat to another, don’t even have to be drink but it does lower ones inhibitions.

Slow news day.

@TT , what are you a homophobe ? You know what they say about Homophobes? You lookin for Devin’s # ru ?
He’s not, but you may be .

Gee, I wonder if Lavonte was sticking up for his defensive compadre here? Nah, I’m sure it was a horse named Dream that won LVD over.

David is batting for his little brother Devin who was able to combine both of his life passions and ride around the stadium with the Championship trophy. That’s a unique and special moment for Devin.
Brady’s toss was epic, but for different reasons.

till now never passed in my mind to compare the two events….LD is confuse with his feeling toward TB12; understandable…. he was the leader of Suckaneers for 9 years…. then this guy comes and changes everything… and they and championeers… jealousy… maybe…
don’t worry LD, you going to be with another team soon…. and going back …. well wining nothing.
tossing the trophy was AMAZING, FUN, and GENUINE…you don’t have to like it…WE DO.

I think both were pretty good but in my view, the peace sign by Winfield takes the prize!

LVD loves Great White, that’s his dawg and he’s going with his running mate.
Just accept Licht’s offer, Lavonte!

Gp
I agree. The peace sign was very tasteful considering the dbag it was directed at

Both are legendary band the victory lap 🐎 needs more coverage.
I agree with him though, the lap on the horse is more impressive

This is really a story?

Okay guys, while that was a really great way to celebrate, the first thing to understand is that was NOT a gallop. He was actually riding a gaited horse, so the horse basically WALKED around the stadium.
And secondly, thankfully, White is a FAR better football player than horse rider. He was quite out of balance, as was the horse. So a C- on his horsemanship skills, but an A+ on his playing skills and celebration creativity and fun level! Just sayin…

Fun stuff but more evidence of no new news. I wish some experts in the field would determine the actual length of the toss. I don’t think it was really that far. Maybe 7 yards?
Whatever it was, it could have gone horribly wrong. I would have almost liked to have seen what the scene would have been directly afterward if it had gone to the bottom.
In any case, it will always be in Bucs legend and I wouldn’t be surprised if future SB winners will try to top it in some way.

During next years SB celebration, with Corona in his right hand, Brady will toss the Lombrady trophy left-handed, behind his back while sitting atop a horse standing in the boat, in choppy waters!
Take that DW!
