It was basically a done deal but Packers GM Ted Thompson refused to trade him within the NFC. Bucs thought they had him.

    And thanks for the tip!

Good podcast. Couple thoughts that I had while listening to topics that were discussed. With guys like Nunez-Rochez potentially leaving, and the possibility of David not returning, what are the chances the Bucs explore the possibility of signing a couple ex-Bucs for depth? Gerald McCoy talks about the possibility of returning to the Bucs and is coming off an injury. Could he be had for cheap to replace Nunez-Rochez on a 1 year deal even if Suh is resigned. Kwon Alexander will likely be a cap casualty in New Orleans and hasn’t played a full season to date ( I think). Could he possibly replace David in the short term. All of this also assumes what they do in the draft, but it seems the Bucs could be out depth at DT, Edge and significantly at Linebacker if David and Minter leave. With a lot of cap casualties, perhaps these ex Bucs take shorter, cheaper deals in this buyer’s market.

Don’t want either McCoy or Alexander.
