“You Deserve To Catch A Deuce In The Face”

February 21st, 2021

“Gorgeous.”

There are so many images Joe will have of the 2020 season. But the greatest may have been the most costly.

When Antoine Winfield, after he broke up a pass intended for Cheetah Hill in the Super Bowl that basically clinched the second Super Bowl win in Bucs history, remembered how Cheetah backflipped on him and flashed the peace sign in November, he made sure Cheetah ate that peace sign as his Chiefs got punked by the Bucs defense.

The zebras threw a flag on the play and the NFL hit Winfield with a $7,800 fine.

This enraged former Bucs offensive lineman and current popular local sports personality Ian Beckles, as he detailed on his podcast “In the Trenches.”

“The Antoine Winfield deuce was gorgeous,” Beckles said. “I’m not really a big smacktalk, trash talk kind of guy. It doesn’t bother me. I’m not against it. In that situation, it was 100 percent warranted.

“If you are a sh!t trashtalker like Tyreek Hill is… if you were doing backflips weeks ago when you were burning people for 200-and-some yards, and someone puts it on you all game, you deserve to catch a deuce in the face.

“The NFL had the audacity to fine Antoine Winfield $7,800 for the peace sign. Get the [flock] out of here! Are you sh!tting me? Did you hear anybody speak out against that? I didn’t hear any Kanas City Chiefs p!ssed.

“They caught an @sswhooping. Antoine Winfield, Jr. deserved to put the deuce in his face. And the NFL had the audacity to fine him $7,800 when you didn’t fine Tyreek Hill for doing a backflip after throwing a deuce in somebody’s face? I don’t get it. I don’t get it whatsoever.”

Neither does Joe, but it was awesome and if the NFL wanted to make money, they would use the above photo Joe and sell it as posters. The Bucs ought to use that photo on their 2021 Media Guide — they still print maybe a dozen of those things.

Earlier appearing on The Pat McAfee Show, Bucs corner Sean Murphy-Bunting said that Bucs assistant coaches went bananas on Winfield when he came to the sidelines after that flag. At first, SMB thought the Chiefs were going to keep the ball on that flag and he mentally freaked out.

But SMB said once he learned the Bucs would still get the ball, he was damn happy Winfield flashed Cheetah in the grille.

Just one more reason to love Antoine Winfield Jr 😀

  2. LISTNFRMAFAR Says:

Perfect timing, didn’t when there was no negative effect on team. Well deserved.

  3. MadMax Says:

    ROFLMAO!!! Love it!

But yeah, fining him was hypocritical as he!!….like you said, they didnt fine Hill when he did it to Winfield.

Btw, im hearing “whiny lil btch” was the the famous exchange nobody wants to share, and it was true, LOL

  4. Hawk Says:

What we *should* hear from the NFL is, “After further review…”.

  5. Tackleblockwin Says:

I think Hill even smiled when he got the deuces lol. He knew what time it was.

  6. Frankinthe813 Says:

We as fans should do a gofundme so junior knows the fans appreciate that deuce and he can keep his ca$h

  7. Jerry Says:

The NFL better fine Hill $7,800 the next time he does that too. That’s his signature taunt.

  8. TampaTown Says:

That image is already being sold everywhere. Check out Redbubble. I bought a tee shirt myself. This kid is the best!

  9. buxsxntkt Says:

He deserved a fine, which was negligible BTW. It’s one thing doing an acrobatic back flip when you have the time, it was part of the play, as were his peace signs while running.
I am all for what Antoine did, Hill deserved it, Bucs fans deserved it, but it was taunting and the fine was deserved. Sticking a peace sign in a players face is different than the player giving a peace sign as someone trails him running. LOVED IT, but it is much more flagrant a “taunt”. Luckily $7,800 is chump change for NFL players.
More puzzling is why would SMB think that would give the ball back to the Chiefs, it was after the play.

  10. Rob In Land O Lakes Says:

Remember also that the backflip was not a TD celebration… he was in the field of play, the play was still live and he backflipped INTO the end zone. Big difference in my opinion and a move designed to embarrass your opponent. I have NEVER been so happy to see a Buc player penalized as I was with Winfield.

Thanks for that Info Tampa Town
I just bought 3 T shirts for me, wife and son!!
Bought a Tapestry too for the Living room!

  12. cmurda Says:

A rare nugget of sense from Ian Beckles. I don’t agree with Beckles all the time, but when I do, it’s after a cold beer and the Bucs winning the Super Bowl at home.

  13. Dewey Selmon Says:

I will give Hill credit, he took it like a man and smirked. I haven’t heard any weaseling out of him.

  14. R.O. Says:

First of all the NFL doesn’t “Make Money” from fines. Tired of reading that. The fines go to charities. Second.. if the NFLPA was so against fines negotiate it out of the CBA. Third… taunting and trash talking should not be a penalty. To the winners go the spoils…

  15. SC. Bucs Fan Says:

I thought the Bucs were going to lose the ball on that penalty so initially I was upset too. Glad I wasn’t the only one. Once I found out we kept the ball I was smiling ear to ear.

  16. TampaTown Says:

SB: happy to help! The shirts run very small order at least one size bigger than you normally wear, maybe even 2 sizes bigger.

  17. TampaTown Says:

    Dewey:
I agree! Mama says you dish it out, you gotta be able to take it. And he and the rest of the Chiefs did take it. I actually respect them for that.

  18. cmurda Says:

I agree with the sentiment here that Hill did take it like a man and I gained respect for him as a man. You know which people I didn’t gain respect for? Mahomes parents, particularly Momma Bear. It was disgraceful and pathetic for her to directly address Gisele and accuse the Bucs of needing the refs help. First of all, why would you come at Gisele as if she would have anything to do with the officials calls on the field. Secondly, if you lost by maybe 3 or 6 points or something, I get it. Your boy’s Chiefs got their butts whooped in every facet of the game and lost by 22. Anybody that even casually watches football know how much of an arse whooping that is especially in the Big Dance. That was pathetic. Despite that, Brady’s parents won with grace and humility.

  19. Anonymous Says:

    That was PERFECT!!!!!

Actually they are both penalties. You can’t wag your finger at someone when you’re running, it’s supposed to be a penalty assessed during the play. I don’t recall whether it’s a spot foul or a replay.

    The backflip is legal though.

  21. Destinjohnny Says:

Sb you owe me a jersey

  22. SlyPirate Says:

Hill actually got a $10,000 fine for taunting earlier this season.

  23. gp Says:

That picture is now my desktop wallpaper!

  24. BucsBeBack (Artist formally known as: BringBucsBack) Says:

What in the he!! happened to Jr.’s middle finger?

  25. Ben green Says:

That is tremendous. I despise hill

  26. lambchop Says:

The Chiefs never expected to get throttled by the Bucs. So funny. That’s why they didn’t react to the deuce. Reek was too busy being shell shocked at the outcome.

BTW, the girl Britt Reid hit is out of a coma. Hopefully, she makes a full recovery. She’s only 5 years old, man.
