Six Days And Counting

February 1st, 2021

The wild and crazy dream is becoming a reality for Joe.

It is Feb. 1. And the Bucs are still playing football. This is just so freaking unreal.

Today, the NFL hype machine gets thrown into gear as Super Bowl Week begins this morning with Super Bowl Opening Night.

Yeah, that’s a contradiction. Let Joe explain:

“Super Bowl Opening Night,” nee: “Super Bowl Media Day,” was a primetime show where both Super Bowl teams would get crammed into an NHL arena with thousands of media so everyone from the assistant towel boy to a team’s owner was harassed with questions, circus stunts, dance competitions, you name it, as well as live radio and TV interviews.

Well, because of The Sickness, that’s all changed (Lightning owner Jeff Vinik will be happy because he won’t have to pooper scooper all the droppings from media members at his Ice Palace tonight). So instead of the Bucs being the center of attention in primetime live on NFL Network, it will be this morning, virtually (broadcast this evening on NFL Network).

Yes, we are six days from Super Bowl LV kickoff. Six days!

If Joe would have written last February the Bucs would be in this position, people would have had Joe committed.

Enjoy this week, Bucs fans. Who knows when we may be here again?

I remember after the Bucs won Super Bowl 37, thinking they’d win another one or two in the near future. Here we are, finally back!

Just wanted KC, Buffalo PO game again. DT Jones KC best defensive lineman lines up over right guard that is Stinnies position, I hope he learned a ton from Suh becuase Jones is really good. I also noticed Bill’s dropped back to pass about 75% of the time very predictable and easy to defend. Bucs will need to establish the run and don’t give up on it, force KC to be predictable. 6 days & counting.

Well – perhaps next yr? We have a game to win this Sunday but Vegas has the Bucs as the favorites in the NFC. Hell, May even see a rematch out in LA next year. Super Bowl this week, fun draft coming up – going in to next season as the marquee team in NFC, should finally win division with everyone else rebuilding. This is what we’ve all dreamed. Let’s just enjoy every-damn-day

On another note, two long-range weather forecasts, including the generally accurate Euro model, show rain at game time on Sunday.

One shows the meat of the front over RayJay at game time, the other shows the front moving off Sunday afternoon.

Which team would be favored in wet conditions?

  9. Sport Says:

Looks like crappy weather on Sunday may slow down the offenses. I like our chances in a murder!

    In BA I Trust!

    Mudder!
