Run Bucs, Run!

January 3rd, 2021

“Clicking.”

No, Joe isn’t referring in the headline of this story to Ronald Jones or Leonard Fournette or Ke’Shawn Vaughn.

Mike Garafolo of NFL Network, a co-host of “Good Morning Football,” the weekend edition, thinks things are looking up for the Bucs.

Yes, he knows inside linebacker Devin White may not be available for the first game of the playoffs because of the COVID. Depending on who the Bucs play, that could be either just a hiccup or lethal.

But Garafolo thinks the way park-violating, home-invading, NFLPA-ignoring, down-forgetting, handshake-stiffing, jet-ski-losing, biscuit-baking Bucs quarterback Tom Brady is playing, that will negate the loss of White initially and the Bucs will end up in the NFC title game.

Garafolo explains in the NFL Network video below.

“I like the Bucs to go on a run here,” Garafolo said.

Joe’s reaction to that? Run Bucs, run!

I remember being so anxious the last time we were in playoffs. It feels different this year knowing you have a tried and true legend ready to command and conquer the foriegn waters.

The only game that would scare me would be if we had to play at Lambea.. not for Brady’s sake but for the rest of our guys who aren’t used to playing in snow.. at night.. in a prime time game.. 😳

Garafolo’s prediction would carry more weight if he hadn’t already demonstrated that his crystal ball doesn’t work for beans.

The playoff ramifications from today’s games in both the NFC & AFC have me buffaloed Joe. If Miami loses to the Bills today, it looks like they COULD miss the playoffs with a 10-6 record (assuming Browns, Ravens, Colts & Titans all win). Same potentially goes for any of those other 4 if they lose today but the others win. That’s a photo finish.

Over in our conference, 10 wins got us in, but if Bears & Cards both win, it looks like one of the 3 teams who’d have 9 wins (Bears, Cards & Rams) would miss the playoffs while a team with either 6 or 7 wins (Giants, Cowboys & Washington) would get in depending upon who wins today. THAT’S BIZARRE. Probably appropriate for 2020 though.

Although the offensive had sputtered in the early on which made no sense, seems to be clicking on all cylinders and I don’t by the quality of the competition thing they look great against the #1 seed GB. As long as we contain this covid issue and the last two games weren’t a fluke, Bucs are as good as any team heading into the playoffs whereas others like NO, Pitt, KC, Rams, AZ and entire NFC East need to figure thing out, they’re all heading in the wrong direction. Go Bucs! Big day tiday.
