Ronald Jones Did Not Practice; Maybe Tomorrow

January 13th, 2021

Ronald Jones’ quad injury is lingering.

Bucco Bruce Arians revealed today that his leading rusher, who rode the bench last week, did not practice and might get back on the field tomorrow.

Regardless, it’s a bad sign that RoJo wasn’t ready for the first practice of the week.

Really hope he is healthy and back to full strength for Sunday. Fournette did a great job last week, but as a pure runner, RoJo has higher upside / ability.

  2. Mitch Says:

He obviously worked too much during the week last week. Maybe the time in the training room and a little rest will be just what he needs to loosen that quad up!

  3. Elita Vita Says:

Could he be upset that at the very end of the game week 17 he was not given the opportunity to achieve his benchmark of 1000 yards for the year? Antonio Brown was fed the ball to reach his benchmark with the remaining time. We don’t know this is for sure though, so what is up with Rojo? I guess it simply could be an injury.Dunno. Inquiring minds would like to know! Go Bucs!

  4. Robert Says:

smokescreen. Blount will start and Rojo will bat clean up. Roho has bricks for hands, and we need the screen threat.

maybe he can improve there, but this is not time to take chances when blount looked great last week.

be focused and ready mr. vaughn

    @Robert

Blount has not played on this team in over 8 years my man….

    You probably mean Fournette.

  7. Robert Says:

    Blount….. lol Fournette.

my mind is playing tricks on me.

  8. Listnfrmafar Says:

That’s NOT good, he us the best Bucs have. Hopefully they are just playing possum.

  9. eric Says:

no possibility since it is a soft tissue injury they rested him an extra day?

Rojo needs to get on that TB12 train!

  11. gp Says:

I find it a little hard to believe that he doesn’t “want” to play in the play-offs.
    Two words
    Icy hot!
Or is it the other two words
    ‘Smoke’ and ‘mirrors’

  12. David Says:

Man I hope he is ready to go. Fournette had a great game but Ronald Jones is a much better runner. He is more explosive and finishes better.
Having them both available obviously is ideal

  13. David Says:

Elita—— no, he’s not upset he didn’t get to 1000 yards. They are in the damn playoffs, I am sure that is meaningless to him at this point. The only people who really care about that are insignificant players and fans.

Robert (and everyone else who keeps saying this)—-
Yes, Rojo does not have the greatest hands but let’s not act like Fournette has been better. He has just as many drops this year. None of the running backs have been good out of the backfield catching balls. It has improved over the last few weeks though and I expect drastic improvements there next year

How not to be a big time running back.

  16. buc15 Says:

He tweaked his quad last week so maybe it’s best to rest him as much as possible.
