The cool thing about offensive linemen is they are like you and Joe.
These dudes love to eat, hang out and drink beers and bourbon, enjoy dropping massive hunks of meat on a grill, shoot things in the timber and love to watch fellow offensive linemen get nasty.
NFL Network analyst Brian Baldinger, a former Colts offensive lineman, showed a clip of Ryan Jensen putting on a clinic in how to follow through on your block.
In trying to protect Antonio Brown on a pass play to the right flat, the Bucs center went mano y mano against slimy Saints linebacker Alex Anzalone. Jensen not only took Anzalone out of the play, Jensen parked Analone’s rear end well out of bounds.
And Baldinger lit up in delight.
“This is what playoff football is supposed to look like,” Baldinger said. “Finish the block. Throw him into the Saints’ bench. Drill him! Let him taste a little Astroturf!”
While this looked cool as hell, it is a good thing there wasn’t a flag-happy ref nearby. There is a fine line between good, physical player and losing your head.
The slimy Saints were cheap-shotting and trying to provoke the Bucs all night. Joe noticed Jensen more than once about to rip off a slimy Saints defender’s head. It’s good to have an enforcer like Jensen.

Just watched the replay. Man they called eVerything on us. One sided calls. Barret and jpp should have gotten sacks but got tackled to ground. No calls
Yet they called penalty on wirfs that was questionable.

There was one play where the running back was going down but Jensen was in front still blocking and driving his man 7-10 yards down the field. I like it, block that sucker into the 5th row of the stands baby. That’s winning football. Jensen has really cleaned up his act, not all those dumb penalties, and is just playing good old fashioned hard nosed football. GO BUCS!!!!

I saw this play when it happened and the ref didn’t flag Jensen because 47 pulled Jensen down on top of him.

Bird- I totally agree about the officials. They did everything they could to keep the Saints in the game. I don’t see how any of their fans can cry about this one. I’m sure some will find a way.
I don’t know about clean house and the other but I’m here and I thought and still believe letting Jameis go was a bit short sited. I never doubted Brady. After it happened I’m on board cause I’m a Bucs fan first and foremost.

Jensen was a beast. The Saints got away with a lot of pass interference and holding while the Bucs got flagged for even minor infractions and non penalties. Hope the Bucs front office has a discussion with the NFL this week. No way was Wirfs holding and I forget who the CB was, but he touched the WR’s helmet and got flagged. Refs really had it in for the Bucs and ignored some blatant penalties by the Saints.

Well Big Red Ryan was nominated for the “Angry Runs”, today they called it “Angry Round” as in playoff round, segment on NFL Networks Good Morning Football today, along with defensive beast/MVP my dog Devin White. But it was unanimous around the table…….Devin White won it!

Did Jordan play Sunday???? I didn’t see him all night. Not only did Jensen destroy the Saints defense he also acted as the level headed enforcer. Earlier in the season he would of been the second man instigator now he breaks things up and cools his teammates down. Another sign of leadership. How about Brady going after Saints Def lineman?

I think we know his name now. He was in Anzalone’s head all night and I saw the red beast walk away from Anzalone two different times. It’s one of the major improvement’s in Jensens game. He’s learn when to hold em and when to fold em. He’s improved dramatically at picking his spots.
This OL is finally getting it’s props…D Smith.. resurrecting his rep..Ali well established…Cappa decent when healthy and the best OL of all is a ROOKIE!
Wirfs is just getting started.
This OL may make Brady want to play 2-3 more years!

I have to disagree with the author of this article. Take another look at this play from the reverse angle shown on network tv. You will be able to see Alex Anzalone grab Jensen helmet and pulls Jensen through the sideline. This should be a personal fowl against Anzalone
