Another Record For Bucs Star Mike Evans
January 16th, 2021You know, Joe doesn’t think it is stupid to start thinking of Bucs star receiver Mike Evans as a future Hall of Famer.
Oh, Evans may not get in on the first ballot, but barring injury, he’s putting together a resume that is certainly worthy of induction into Canton.
Until this year, the big hole in Evans’ career was the playoffs. Well, he’s there now. Finally, thankfully. And you know, Joe believes big-time players make big-time impacts on a big stage.
Sure enough, it took just one playoff game — Evans’ first — to put his footprint on Bucs history. Again.
Last week against Washington, per Andrew Holman of the Bucs’ media relations staff, Evans put up 119 yards receiving, though not yet fully recovered from his knee injury suffered six days prior. That, friends, is a Bucs’ franchise record in the playoffs.
He beat Keyshawn Johnson’s 106 yards receiving set against the Eagles during the 2000 season playoffs.
Maybe the Bucs can win two more games this month to help get Evans another postseason memory to add to his bulging career highlights?
@Buccaneers v @Saints #Lattimore v #Evans is a great game within the game. Both bring the very best out of each other . This is the 8th time they meet; here is a recap of 1st 7. #BaldysBreakdowns pic.twitter.com/PC9XrxelPr

Mike had him beat in almost every highlight let’s be honest. Better throws equals a completion.
January 16th, 2021 at 1:24 am
i’m sure mike is probably thinking he can get ten 1,000 yard seasons…
if he’s thinking big, he might have twelve 1,000 yard seasons in his mind…
lofty goals for a lofty dude…

You know, if I we win the big game this year could you imagine how the players would feel getting to show up for work in the that same championship stadium? Can’t help to think that would be a slightly advantageous for future pending free agents of ours. Of course the cake to that frosting actually being winning THIS Super Bowl.. still lol.
January 16th, 2021 at 3:37 am
Shut down the vet was 2002 pal. Superbowl was 2001- 2002 season
January 16th, 2021 at 3:57 am
@just dylan: it was actually 2003 for the 2002 season… Pal. Lol

Mike always have him beat it’s more plays left out there on the field Bec of bad balls or him not even being looked at or just Do & Lb getting in the throwing lane when he’s open latimore really don’t lock down mike as much as ppl think he just lock him down or do good when ppl watching he’s still top 5 cb and Mike a top 5 wr greats games always
January 16th, 2021 at 6:27 am
Mike has been consistently better than every one of his peers year in and year out, with the exception of Antonio Brown, who is just otherworldly when he’s dialed in. If he keeps playing for the next 5 years, the way he has for the first 7, he “should” be a first ballot hall of famer all day long.
Given the corrupt “good ole boy” nature of the HOF voting process, I’d be more inclined to think that they’d screw Mike over for lesser players (where’s my touchdowns Julio!) just like they have with Lynch, Barber, Rice, and Nickerson. Everyone outside of Ira and maybe a handful of others involved in the voting process should lose the privilege to vote for these great players. I don’t know why I give myself a headache b!tching about this all of the time, but it’s nice to vent. 😁

We won our SB in 2003

Just Dylan, pal, if you are going to call someone out, make sure you are right.
January 16th, 2021 at 7:50 am
Evan’s will get into HOF eventually if he continues playing as he is. QB is going to make a difference. If Alex Smith was QB no one would know who Evan’s is. Not sure if he’ll be a 1st rounder that will depend on the selections that year.
Is anyone concerned except me that Whitehead is questionable and Suh hasn’t been at practice all week?

Lattimore has been his kryptonite
However, i trust mike and brady does now too
I am hoping we break the streak. And we need mike to do that
Lattimore is in his head for whatever reason

Johnny Mike didn’t have one of most accurate thrower in nfl history throwing to him. If Fitz can do it Brady can definitely do so. Fitz is just sneaky athletic and that escape skill makes the d scared. IMO Mike is so use to terrible Quarterbacks his timing has been off since college. Think about it non talented talent evaluators. Johnny drunk arse football running around and Mike doing scramble drills for years in college. He made Johnny Johnny. That’s why I call this site Johnnybucsfan.com. If it was up to you goof troops we would of had that scrub. As much as y’all rode his ya got nerve to ever say anything about Jason Licht. I’m still dreaming about punching Mark Domino for giving me high blood pressure. Wasted years! Jay miss was no better for Mike with that slow decision making and long arse wined up. Mike never got correct timing. The first time Winsnon dropped it in the bucket on time Mike blew a hammy. I bet you Tom can hit Deshawn Jackson(hint hint) in stride like Fitz did. You should apologize for talking about Djax when he was telling the truth about coochie grabber. He can throw but can’t hit a moving car.

BIG MIKE!! Best offensive player in Buccaneers history and its not even close.
Evans basically already punched his ticket for the HOF 2 weeks ago when he secured a major accomplishment that no other NFL receiver has ever achieved.
SEVEN straight 1000 yard seasons from the very start of one’s career.
Super high level of difficulty on that one because many of the NFLs best receivers do not achieve that 1000 yards their first year in the league. Then beyond that first year – the consistency and durability factors kick in hard. As good as Evans is – it was a real struggle for him to achieve that 1000 yards this seventh straight year due to nagging injuries and the Bucs being so unbelievably loaded with other offensive weapons.
It will likely be 20 or more years before ME’s new record gets broken – if ever….
And lets not forget that in his first season Evans had Glennon and McClown throwing him the ball and working behind the worst OLine this long time football fan has EVER seen (Bucs 2013 line play was very bad – so Lovie blew it up – and got substantially WORSE in 2014 – LOL)
So yea – barring catastrophic injury in the near future, Evans has already made the HOF. 3-4 more years of performing at or near the level we’ve seen thus far and he will be First Ballot as well……

Mr lazer focus since nobody can tell you how Stinnie will play you still ain’t watch the 3rd quarter of the Detroit routing. He played for a quarter and some change. It makes me wonder if y’all even watch the games or just flipping you flaps. Now I told you about Jensen step for step with Tyler Johnson. So go back look at the Detroit game. Bucs leading 40-7 3rd quarter 7:54 on the clock on a 3rd & 4. Brady hit Tyler on a screen and Jensen get up field and hit the gas I was impressed with the big dude speed. Same game I seen Stinnie pull with nice speed. Our big boys can move and we get them parts downhill we can steam roll the Aints.

Lol @ just dylan

Lattimore pushes him to the outside so he can use the boundary as a second defender. He is susceptible to the inside move.

Sac gonna help you out Joey and give you fans some confidence in the Buccaneers so Buckle Up. Rhonde you study this film. I have every snap for the 2020 season recorded
Saints Vs Bucs Game 1- The blocking wasn’t as bad as you say Jensen Man handled #97 Roach numerous times. #90 got rolled by Ali numerous times. I even seen both of them hold there man on solo blocks, So that’s 3 more linemen to block if they don’t blitz so why we can’t protect Tom. It’s the scheme! D.Smith and T.Wirfs didn’t let the pass rush overwhelm them we was just off go back and look. Tom and the offense. The defense was giving it to them boys. Devin flung Alvin like a bag of potatoes. Sean Murph was tackling Cook on his swag. Capt Lavonte David was on Tayson back. Todd Bowles was locked in. The offense was pedestrian. I never seen the Bucs get so many 3 and out on Brees. We can beat up our big brother. Shaq was trying to out think Ramshack. JPP won late against Armstead. The weak spot is #62 Yo. Listen D line you can work him. William Gholston Hear a real one Andrés Peat can be beat. Power power swim and quick twitch him. Shaq swipe and dip. JP motor stutter step and stunt on’em. Suh power and get skinny big guy. Nelson Power Power and more power off the edge. No TE can block you that’s easy work. Khalil warn the refs they holding you. I see that hand skill and pass rush it’s almost Aaron Donald like keep working bro. Stevie you rested so I need everything you got. Todd rotation watch grouping and die by the blitz. Lefty open up the shed door and hit the gas whoop arse and don’t ever let the foot off they neck. Bruce we don’t need a screaming arse uncle we need a solid grandpa motivating his grand kids to go to WAR!

Mike garage time Evans. Cuz he only gets his yards against the Saints in garage time.
January 16th, 2021 at 11:30 am
He is Hall of Fame, he is Ring of Honor, he is Johnny Manziel’s Heisman.
January 16th, 2021 at 11:57 am
Mike will be a different guy this game… Dude is ultra competitive and being in the playoffs has appeared to bring out the best Mike we’ve ever seen!! When they got into that drop fest quarter in Washington it was Mike that bailed them out and caught a few until the team was able to get back on track
January 16th, 2021 at 12:19 pm
Between ‘just Dylan’ calling people out with wrong info and this other loser crying about “garage time”, seems we’ve got an extra big dose of dumb in the comments today.
January 16th, 2021 at 12:47 pm
He plays 2 games a year against the Saints, has his worse games and still gets over 1,000.
January 17th, 2021 at 11:26 am
48-3 Saints
January 17th, 2021 at 7:50 pm
