“We Gotta Watch The Ball”
December 2nd, 2020Considering Bucco Bruce Arians mentioned this twice yesterday, Joe’s going to call the head coach frustrated.
Remember those two crushing offsides penalties against the Rams two games ago, committed by Devin White and Shaq Barrett? Those were killers on third down in a three-point loss.
Arians barked about how much those hurt, and then the Bucs came back Sunday and committed three offside penalties/neutral zone infractions against the Chiefs. Two were by Ndamukong Suh and one was by Shaq.
Speaking on his Buccaneers Radio show last night, Arians noted how coaches stress discipline on the snaps and “we gotta watch the ball.” As Joe noted previously, Arians referenced that twice.
“We just cannot do that,” he said.
A lot of little things went wrong for the Bucs the past two games. It’s not just the big stuff that grabs the headlines. Bye weeks are the ideal time to mop up the messes and tighten up the mental side of the game, as well. Joe’s eager to see if Arians and his giant staff can get that done.
EPISODE 1 of 2 this week.

Bye week will serve them well… we’ll know everything we need to know about the rest of the season after the next game… repeat after each game the rest of the season! No room for backsliding.. the opposite is true! They need to continue to get better each game! If not we’ll be talking 2021 draft

Maybe we need to get a quote “offsides” coach, to go with the rest of our staff.

We’ve done a good job of cleaning up our penalties for the exception of the offsides……’the defense must be more disciplined.

Those are huge plays against us. Most were free 1sr downs and ended UP being scoring drives. Mahomes saw it on tape and said oh yea i can get these guys. And he did. And again. And again.

It’s on Arians.
Well-coached teams have better discipline than this year’s Bucs.
