Not There Yet, Says Bucs QB
December 8th, 2020Yesterday, Buccaneers.com ran a short interview with park-violating, home-invading, NFLPA-ignoring, down-forgetting, jet ski-losing, handshake-stiffing Bucs quarterback Tom Brady.
Not a lot to gain from it.
After 20 years with the Belicheats, Brady has press conferences down to an art form. He talks a lot in a flat tone but says very little. This interview was no different.
However, Brady did raise his voice at one point for emphasis when he was discussing the state of the Bucs. Basically, Brady said, the Bucs (himself included) need to keep raising their games to reach the desired level a team must achieve if it plans to do damage in the playoffs.
“I don’t think there are too many things where we go, ‘Hey, we’ve got it all figured out! It’s all perfect,'” Brady said. “That’s not typically how it goes. It is not how it goes with all of us yet. I’m hoping we can get to that point.”
Brady was asked about his leadership skills and if he is able to get his point across to his new team. He had an interesting answer.
“I always hope my voice is heard,” Brady said. “When I say something I mean it. I think we all have high expectations. I have high expectations for myself.”
Oh, and Brady confessed he has a Christmas morning tradition in his household. He bakes biscuits using his grandmother’s recipe.
Joe will spare readers a bad, predictable one-liner here.

We’ve been hearing “not there yet” for the last 12 weeks. At what point are we there? We’re 3/4 of the way done with the season. Maybe they knew all along it would take more than a year for this thing to reach its full potential? That’s the only thing I can think of.

Now if you would just spare us the bad, predictable one-liners in every other article, that would be great.

I am definitely not Baker Mayfield but there is this for you Joe.
“There’s no happy ending to cocaine. You either die, you go to jail, or else you run out.”
December 8th, 2020 at 9:16 am
Can we please add “biscuit baker” to Brady moniker…….in your quest to top Peter King….
December 8th, 2020 at 9:21 am
I truly believe that the art of “winning” is a learned mindset. Meaning that when things aren’t going so great your team always finds a way to win anyway. The Buc’s aren’t at that point yet. In fact, they lose playing not to lose instead.

I’m with Tbbf… need to add “biscuit baker” to the moniker.
This is the way…
December 8th, 2020 at 9:45 am
*holiday biscuit baking, down forgetting…… blah blah blah..,,,
December 8th, 2020 at 9:56 am
very good TBBF, I also vote for adding “biscuit baker”
December 8th, 2020 at 9:56 am
Yep, if Dirk can have yam eating as part of his ridiculous moniker, certainly the Joe’s can encompass biscuit making into TBs. Fingers crossed.

These last 4 games all depend on our Offensive line. They play well, and brady flourishes. The Defensive line will show up. They got the most heart on this team. If they get sacks, rushes, hurries, it does not expose our weak secondary. But our O line is the key. They play well and we just might..RUN THE TABLE.

N-please, I vote for a moratorium on the monikers. Joe please give us a one week holiday break from the monikers. They are so annoying, and posting boner inducing chicks of hot chicks does not make up for the annoying monikers.
December 8th, 2020 at 10:36 am
Meant to say photos of hot chicks, e.g. Coleen Wolfe. Pic request charissa Thompson next please
December 8th, 2020 at 10:39 am
Wondering. Are those “No risk it” biscuits?
December 8th, 2020 at 11:03 am
Ah, Charissa Thompson has to first say something about the Bucs. Otherwise, would gladly grace this site with her.
December 8th, 2020 at 11:05 am
Thought about it.
December 8th, 2020 at 11:17 am
Biscuit baking, muffin munching…….
December 8th, 2020 at 11:23 am
I believe that when you mix a few aging superstars with rookies, and proven Buc players and add no pre-season, limited training camp and a big does of virtual learning and finally what has become a questionable coaching staff all bets are off in predicting an outcome. Even with the extra playoff position no one can say with certainty that this very expensive and at times frustrating season will end favorably for the Buc’s.
December 8th, 2020 at 12:24 pm
Joe a couple of losses in the last games of the season Brady will be making ole’ stale biscuits.
December 8th, 2020 at 12:26 pm
Holiday biscuit making deserved mentioning??? Yyyaaawwwnnn!!! 🥱 🥱 🥱More like son of a biscuit eater!
December 8th, 2020 at 12:40 pm
no doubt that the Buc’s will be “choking” on stale biscuit”s after Christmas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
go bucs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wisco once it clicks its there. There is no 75% or 50%. Ya either got it or you dont…….And call me crazy but it almost looked like it did click against K.C. The big play over the middle to Gronk was where i really noticed it. After that it really felt like they found a type of rhythm we never saw all year.
I am almost willing to go all in and say, Yes…….Our Bucs got it figured. We looking at 11 wins and finishing very strong. We will be the team nobody wants to see come pkayoff time with Brady leading the offense.
But the skeptic in me remembers all the times Jameis ripped up prevent defenses and all the eggs Jameis laid the next week.
Dont know what the Bucs will look like this week but Im excited. This might be the real deal!!
GO BUCS!!!
December 8th, 2020 at 2:24 pm
I read an interview years ago about Tom’s holiday tradition. He said the secret was being strict about the method of mixing the dough. According to grandma Brady, “no whisk it, no biscuits.”
December 8th, 2020 at 3:06 pm
Oh Joe….Charissa Thompson….class, brain and body…. specially body….😁
December 8th, 2020 at 11:33 pm
I hope Marcia Brady can show up and play a complete football game, as the Supreme Leader expects from all teammates.
December 9th, 2020 at 7:06 am
Hey joebucsfan. you will NEVER have a mansion like TB. you will NEVER win A superbowl. You will NEVER have a Gisele. You will NEVER be MVP 1 time. you will NEVER look like TB. I could go on and on but I just pray that we win out IN SPITE of your whining and name calling. Here’s a good analogy about the coaches; If they gave them a rubber hammer and an anvil, they would come back wanting another anvil. In other words, the GOAT has an amazing squad and BA is turning the Bucs into the Cowboys!!!!! Lord please forgive me haha
December 9th, 2020 at 11:10 am
Yeah… what is all this name calling about anyway?
He’s the GOAT and obviously the best QB to ever don a Bucs uniform – but the attempt at humor with all the “model marrying, mashed potato-ing” styled name calling I do not get.
Swing-and-a-miss
