“So you are telling me Super Bowl?”

At best, it appears the Bucs will be the No. 5 seed in the NFC playoffs.

That may mean a trip to Washington, D.C. and the ferocious Redskins defensive line. Yikes.

In listing his favorites to win it all this winter, popular sports TV and radio personality Adam Schein, typing for NFL.com, has the Bucs listed. Barely.

Schein types there is only one reason why he gives the Bucs the darkest of dark horse chance of winning the Super Bowl.

And that would be because of park-violating, home-invading, NFLPA-ignoring, down-forgetting, handshake-stiffing, jet-ski-losing, biscuit-baking Bucs quarterback Tom Brady.

Honestly, my confidence level is low here. But I’m not leaving Tom Brady off this list, especially right after a stellar performance in which he erased a 17-0 deficit, threw for 390 yards and spread the wealth to all three of his studs at wideout (Mike Evans had 110 receiving yards, while Chris Godwin and Antonio Brown both scored). We are talking about Tom Brady, after all …

Yes, Brady does command this kind of respect.

Look, Brady and the Bucs have demonstrated they can rack up points on the scoreboard quickly. That is, when everyone is on the same page.

The Bucs have the firepower to take over and dominate a game. That is, when they don’t sleep walk through an entire half. Sooner or later, digging that kind of a early hole will prove a bit too deep.

Right now I would just like to see the Bucs win the final 2 season games to reach an 11 – 5 record…

  2. Etzel Says:

Our season will end similarly to the Patriots’ last year. Pick six walk-off from Tommy limp-wrist. Have a safe trip home, folks. Hope you enjoyed those primetime beatdowns, losers.

    Bah-humbug Etzel…..

Just win out, get it rolling for once (in the first half), stay healthy, and don’t look to far ahead.

    Go Bucs!!!!

  4. Robert Says:

I disagree, I say, hopefully, we clinch a spot this week….followed up by a more flexible start to games (not BL’s play calls) to see what we have once we can hang loose.

only then will we know what we really have. and I think that will show just how inept BL is

  5. Tampabaybucfan Says:

If Schein read Joe’s moniker for Brady, he might change his mind and think Brady has Zero chance……

Wow you certainly have NFL envy. How about penis envy are you plagued by that as well since you seem to fixate on limp wrists?

  7. David Says:

    I disagree.
First, they can still win the division if they win out and the Saint playing as bad as they have been playing and losing their final two.
Second, The Redskins do not scare me. The Buccaneers should be able to shut them down and generate enough offense.
Honestly, none of the teams in the NFC scare me.
If the Bucs get pressure and the offense is balanced, they can beat any of them. Granted it’s been very inconsistent this year, but that is still a fact.

If the Bucs win the last two games they are guaranteed the #5 seed,

The Rams have to lose one

  11. Etzel Says:

If I say “limp-wrist” and you automatically think “penises”… that says a lot more about you than it does me, sir. .

Oh and sorry I insulted your man-crush, try not to cry yourself to sleep about it.

  12. Etzel Says:

I said “limp wrist” as an insult to Brady’s diminishing arm strength. Your decision to associate that, with “penis envy” says a lot more about you, than it does about me, sir.

Sorry I insulted your crush 🙁

  13. SOEbuc Says:

You’ll have to forgive my friend. He’s a little slow. Tampa is back that way. Lol.

    GO BUCS!!!

  14. BuddhaBuc Says:

Etzel – Are you an old lady trolling the Buc’s board? Self-gratification is a sensitive topic for you, huh? StPeteBucsFan was spot-on.

  16. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    At best?

What if the Bucs win the last 2 games and the Saints lose them?

Then we would win the division, right?

Wouldn’t that, no matter how unlikely that the Saints lose, be the ‘at best?’

  17. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Etzel, if Brady’s arm strength was failing him, he would not be over throwing WRs when going deep.

Confession time. Before this year there were few players in the NFL I loathed more than Brady. I loathe the NE fans. I absolutely loathe their penishead coach!

And so when I think about why I hated Brady…it’s always easy to hate winners…who also have luck..seem a bit cocky and are coached by a man in desperate need of a personality transplant with the most arrogant obnoxious fans shy of Philadelphia.

So now he is winning for us. Hardly a man crush. Mostly hanging on with a prayer that for once the Bucs will finally have the luck of the Irish. If it comes with a player I used to hate…so be it….JUST WIN BABY. BRADY IS 9-5…that is a WINNING record. It’s reality. The rest of your debate is simply opinion.
