The Stage Is Set

November 2nd, 2020

Joe can’t help but look post tonight’s game with the Giants on Monday Night Football.

Lurking is the massive rematch with the 5-2 Saints on Sunday Night Football.

Will it a be a title bout?

Imagine the Bucs move to 6-2 tonight after clubbing the Giants. Then imagine they lose to the Saints on Sunday. In that scenario Tampa Bay would be sitting at 6-3, effectively two games behind New Orleans with seven to play. That’s because they’d have two losses to the Saints and would lose a head-to-head tiebreaker for the division crown. That would represent a very steep climb to overcome a Saints team that soon will get back its top-two wide receivers.

But a Bucs win against the Saints on Sunday would give Tampa Bay a clear path and complete control of its destiny when it comes to the NFC South title.

So much will be at stake on the nation’s big NBC stage, with both teams completely locked in with their legendary quarterbacks.

Man, that’s even more fun than if somehow Drew Brees got injured yesterday and his notorious backup stepped in to start against the Bucs.

All the Bucs must do to make this fun happen is beat a sad team tonight in very chilly New Jersey.

This is one Game i am going too
    Game is gonna be lit

Lets see if saints receivers back for this game.
AB 1st game as a buc.

How will saints cover all bucs receivers and tight ends. You cant double everyone.

    🔥 🔥

Hopefully the wind won’t be an issue, lots of teams yesterday struggled to throw and it was a huge problem. Outside potential to see a closer ugly game like what happened in Cleveland etc etc. In an ideal world I want to be up 34-10 going in to 4th with starters pulled but whatever, as long as we get the W

  3. Boston Boy Says:

Tonight should be just a tune up. Get more familiar with what they are trying to do on offense and defense so they can lay the smack down on the Aints next week. Tonight is about setting the stage for the showdown. This is so exciting, I can’t wait for tonight.
    Go Bucs.

  4. Scotty In Fat Antonio Says:

Is it me or has Brees lost the ability to throw the long ball?

  5. Alanbucsfan Says:

Joe Judge spent 8 years with Patriots- think he doesn’t have a plan for Brady?
Bucs should win, but take Nothing for granted

  6. Tackleblockwin Says:

    @ Gofortheface30

Great point about weather influencing football games. At the moment the weather report for Bucs vs Giants does not sound too bad.

  7. Dewey Selmon Says:

Scotty, I saw the same thing. Brees makes Casey Weldon look like he had zip on his throws.

  8. Morgus the Magnificent Says:

Injuries are “fun” ??? C’mon Joe, you’re better than that.

  9. Steven007 Says:

Scotty, Anthem the troll had the wrong NFC South quarterback all along. Breeze is the true weenie arm. He’s still dangerous because their short game is so good, but you’re absolutely correct, he probably can’t throw it farther than 35 yards with authority these days. That’s why our linebackers will be so essential next week. But first things first. The Giants…

  10. Steven007 Says:

    *Brees…ha

  11. Jmarkbuc Says:

    Bucs 20-40 against Bears

    7-15 against Giants…

Don’t need to crap the bed once again against an inferior team on the national stage.

  12. Joe in Michigan Says:

Alanbucsfan: Being on Brian Belichick’s staff at one time doesn’t guarantee success for an NFL Head Coach. We have Romeo Crennel, Nick Saban, Eric Mangini, Jim Schwartz, Josh McDaniels, Bill O’Brien, and Matt Patricia as proof.

  13. Brandon Says:

Brian Belichick? Not sure that qualifies anyone for anything. Now Bill Billick… there’s a coach. 🤪

  14. AJ Says:

That BS call against Shaq for a late hit on Foles in that Bear’s game still pisses me off. Should have been Bucs ball late in that game. And we close it out from there. that game looms large right now….

  15. 813bucboi Says:

the most important thing about tonight besides the W is HEALTH….

we should be able to get up early, stay up throughout the game and run the game…

i just want us to come out in good health…

    GO BUCS!!!!!

  16. james west Says:

true true true, but, let’s not get ahead of ourselves and look past the giants, as we know any mental lapses, could get you beat on any given sunday, as well as injured

  17. John Sinclear Says:

6 – 2 going into the Saints game looks good on paper. BUT – Don’t overlook the Army Insects. They want the upset. (Army Insects = GI ants)

  18. Swampbuc Says:

Don’t look past the Giants. If the Bucs are, they will lose.

  19. Im tired and 87 is right Says:

The Bucs just need to remember what happened in our house against the Giants last year. Should be all the motivation needed. We crapped the bed and now it’s time for us to come back and punch them square in the mouth. Curb stomp baby! Go Bucs!!

  20. TB12 In Da Bay Says:

    Notorious backup? Taysom Hill?

Bucs aren’t playoff contenders until BA shows he can beat the Saints.

  21. Sorryjackchuckiesback Says:

Let’s hope Winston doesn’t start for any reason!! I have a bad feeling he would play lights out… He has those types of games in him!! Just not consistently!!….. As for the saints, they haven’t beaten the Giants yet!! If the lose tonight the saints game brings on a whole new meaning!! That is why you never look past what’s standing right in front of you!!

  22. Joe in Michigan Says:

Hahaha, good one, Brandon. Yes, it’s Bill…Although some might think this Brian Belichick can coach too, on the last name alone.

  23. SOEbuc Says:

Mike’s off the injury list! Getting closer to the 💯? Be friggin sweet

  24. Buc1987 Says:

    Bring on the Aint’s.

    I ain’t skeered!

  25. SlyPirate Says:

100% agreed, Joe. It would be amazing to play against Winston. This defense would make it a really bad day for Mr. 30-30. That said, we don’t want the Saints to have any excuses so it needs to be Brees as the starter. They can put Winston in after the game is a blow out in the 4th.

  26. TampaTown Says:

    Morgus:
I think Joe was referencing a scenario where Jameis would be playing again at RayJay. Not rooting for Brees to get injured. At least that’s how I interpreted it.

  27. Pewter Power Says:

This is the game that matters most, winning the division is the first goal before Super Bowl. Can’t lose anymore nfc games either

  28. Pickgrin Says:

One game at a time please. Looking ahead is foolish.

Bucs better be on their Ps and Qs tonight.

High likelihood the Refs will do their best to try to make sure this MNF Giants game is closer than it should be….

  29. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    • AB will do absolutely nothing except draw coverage (at best). Remember the last ‘big name troubled wr’ we got? Barely produced.

    • Wishing an injury to Brees is just wrong. A false-positive? That would be great!

    • Brees still has the arm to go deep, they just try to make that arm last. He is probably the most accurate passer in history too. But we have the best QB in history.

  30. orlbucfan Says:

Who are we playing tonight? I thought it was the Giants. Bucs will focus on that game. The cheating Aints are next, but they ain’t tonight. I hope the Offensive players have a bead drawn on the Aints POS who slammed into Ungodly on purpose and concussed him. It that is next Sunday. Go Mighty Bucs tonight at MetLife Stadium. What’s the weather report up there?

  31. Joe in Michigan Says:

44 degrees in NY. So, warm (where I come from, anyway). Only an 8 MPH wind.
