Thank Brady Magic
November 4th, 2020Interesting chatter from a long-time respected sports columnist.
Michael Wilbon, formerly of the Washington Post and now working solely for BSPN, took to the show he co-hosts with Tony Kornheiser, “Pardon the Interruption,” to strongly state if the Bucs had any other quarterback in the NFL other than Tom Brady, the ballgame Monday night heads to overtime.
Wilbon is convinced the zebras picked up the flag — Wilbon confessed he’s not sure if the play Antoine Winfield made was interference or not — because of what Joe referred to as “Brady Magic.”
“This is going to come out in favor of the Golden Boy,” Wilbon said of his thoughts while watching the game live. “There is no question about it. No matter what uniform he is wearing, the officials were going to pick [the flag] up and call it in favor of the Golden Boy. And they did.”
Still, Wilbon added the Giants did not “get hosed,” in part because he’s not sure if Winfield’s play was a penalty or not.
Kornheiser noted Brady is on pace for eight interceptions this season. That’s 74 percent less than the Bucs had last year.
“So they are better,” Kornheiser said.
Additionally, Kornheiser said the close game didn’t surprise him because the Giants always play Brady tough. Wilbon believed just about any NFL starting quarterback other than Danny Dimes would have beaten the Bucs Monday night.

It’s nice to have that magic because for the longest time we had some black magic going on, getting hosed on some horrible calls. I wouldn’t call him Danny Dines I’d call him Right On Time Tom because he sho nuff is right on time for us!

Silly stuff. The replay showed that it was not pass interference.

Not PI. I saw a shot from behind the end zone and the ball hit Winfield before contact was made.
Poorly thrown ball.
