Big Comeback Continues From Chris Godwin

November 15th, 2020

Warrior

Joe refuses to overlook Chris Godwin playing like a beast through a surgically repaired finger and a hamstring that might not be 100 percent.

The man is a freakin’ beast.

Today Godwin led the Bucs with 92 yards receiving on six catches (from six targets). And so many were tough yards with YAC (yards after catch). Joe loved seeing Godwin spring himself free on the left sideline and not switch the ball to his left hand as receivers are taught to do.

No way was Godwin going to put the ball into his protected and healing finger. He was just going to hang tight with the right.

At this point, Godwin is right back to the kind of play he was pumping out against the Raiders when he got injured late after nine catches on nine targets.

The weapons are healthy and they’re playing angry, and Antonio Brown is finding a rhythm.

No offensive coordinator wants to face this Bucs team.

I believe the word you’re looking for is “Defensive”.

Brady finally looked to trust the receivers to make a play. Godwin and Evans don’t really have to be open to get a completion. It’s their ball and they’ll take it. A few of the incompletions to Evans seemed to be Brady trying to keep it too much out of trouble.

Love Godwin. So glad he’s back!

Idk, I mean I wouldn’t want to be an offensive coordinator having to match 46 pts on the scoreboard!!

The beautiful thing about today is that all THREE receivers got their targets and ALL three made the most of them.

It seemed to blow the lid off of any speculation that the three superstars might not mesh. And indeed late in the game I saw Brady talking with ME13 very animated and excited. And ME13 said…no sweat I was never worried. Was that about one play or did Brady and ME13 end any more speculation about trouble in paradise.

This is how it’s going to go if you in this offense. All three of those guys had good days…put up stats…so did ROJO…and Brate and Gronk got there’s. Brady did a fabulous job of spreading the ball around and BL may have had his best day play calling. Yeah he set the bar low the first nine games but I thought he did a decent job today as well.

And kudos to Bowles and LVD…he was on the sidelines after that second TD reading his brothers the riot act…and they were PAYING ATTENTION. It showed the second half. Great game today on many levels….except..

IF THIS TEAM EXPECTS TO DO MORE THAN SIMPLY MAKE THE PLAYOFFS FIND SOME FREAKING ST PLAYERS OR COACHES OR WHATEVER.

I’m tired of holding my breath every time we kick the ball,

Godwin was a pleasant surprise stepping up playing well as he did with a bumb finger..
Hopefully he will be even better after this week of mending… Going to need all the weapons Monday night against the Rams……
IF they finally can play well in that night game, I could care them challenging the Chief the following week… If not, it may be the next 2 games!

This guy is way more important than the bigger name WRs. They better not let him get away in free agency. This is guy is the offense’s John Lynch.

    That’s a great comparison…the offense’s John Lynch

A finally-healthy receiver corp bodes well for the rest of the season IF they can stay healthy.

I’d rather rely on Brown than Miller, but I like Miller. A lot.

Brown has shown an athleticism that is stunning, and maybe he’ll get even better.

I hope there is some sort of reckoning and LVD will be able to compete in a PLAYOFF game this season. The guy is a HOF player and a HOF class act off field. I listened to the game in radio. Are they ever going to do away with holding as a penalty? Plenty of it until the Bucs started running up the score.

It doesn’t happen very often with the Bucs but they hit a grand slam with Godwin. Seeing a guy from day one working his butt off to be an all pro receiver. He never shys away from the work it takes to get better or the dirty work to help his teammates make plays. With the cap projected to take a hit next year if they don’t make it a point to sign him they’ll lose the fan base. Both him and Evans need to retire Bucs! Pay the stud!

  12. bojim Says:

A receiver playing on a just repaired finger. Damn!

  13. unbelievable Says:

    He’s a straight up baller.

Brown looks great as well. Hopefully he can teach Godwin and even Evans some extra moves / knowledge before he’s gone.

  14. Bruce Blahak Says:

What a warrior! He was catching with one hand basically.

  15. The Deflator Says:

    Once again, it’s M1k3, not ME13.
