“We Gave Them That Game”

October 13th, 2020

Dangerous man, says JPP.

So the undefeated Packers come into the Den of Depression Sunday with a red hot Aaron Rodgers.

The future Hall of Fame quarterback/whiner Rodgers is 1-2 in games at the Den of Depression. And the way Bucs outside linebacker Jason Pierre-Paul talked, if the Bucs play like they did in Chicago last week, Rodgers will be 2-2.

JPP seemed thoroughly disgusted by the loss to the Bears, saying it is in the past but lamented how the Bucs handed the win to Chicago.

And per JPP, that type of nonsense cannot happen this week if the Bucs hope to leave the stadium with a W.

“He does everything right,” JPP said of Rodgers. “A game like last week, we definitely would have lost, which we did but we definitely would have lost going into Green Bay. Aaron Rodgers is the type of quarterback, he picks off your mistakes. We can’t make a lot of mistakes. We have to be football sound.”

The way JPP talked about losing to the Bears, it seems he may have had some sleepless nights since.

“We gave them that,” JPP said. “That game is gone. I feel like we gave them that game. We beat ourselves. I won’t say [Nick Foles] got comfortable, we got comfortable. And we beat ourselves.”

This may be why JPP is excited to face the Packers. It’s a chance for a big win and to wash away the bitter taste of that foul game in Chicago.

“I’m looking forward to playing him,” JPP said of Rodgers. “I have played him a couple of times. I’m looking forward to playing Green Bay and giving them their first loss. Hopefully.”

To do that, dumb mental errors must not occur time and again like in Chicago.

We always seem to play Rogers tuff let’s keep it going.

  2. JimmyJack Says:

This is going to be an intresting matchup with our Defense vs Rodgers offense. Great test to see how good our D really is……..Im actually expecting a solid game. I just dont see this defense getting rolled up on like the Ol’ Smith Tampa2.

I been thinking cor a while we got a good D. This Sunday will show us just how good they are.

3-3 is about where the Bucs should be.

  4. Nick2 Says:

To beat undefeated Green Bay and go to 4-2 would be sweet and since we are tied in our division its going to be important as well.

  5. Dbuc Says:

I noticed how our corners were playing ten yards off the line…they need to press more imo.

  6. Tampabaybucfan Says:

I have a different take on this game……I think our offense needs to be very successful, scoring many points……because Green Bay will score.

Hopefully, we are healthy on offense and will play mistake free….

  7. Casual Observer Says:

Should be a good game. As opposed to the Bears clunker. I predict a close win for our Bucs.

  8. Chris@Apple Roof Cleaning Tampa Says:

We can easily lose these next 2 games against the Packers and Chucky’s Raiders.
We will need our A Game to beat both teams, that’s for sure.

Key to Winning the Game Sunday:

    Game Time is 4:25pm.

Tell Donovan Smith it’s at 8:20.

JPP may say Rodgers is a dangerous man, but believe Rodgers doesn’t think JPP is a dangerous man, this year.

  11. Adrnagy Says:

Watch Aaron pick on Carlton Davis.
Carlton loves to gives 1st down on penalties. Dean will get burn and Murphy bunting will be 20 yards off the receiver.

Coaching will teach following day not to do those mistakes.

  12. mark2001 Says:

I predict we choose a LT with the number 15 pick.

Nice. Our HC gives away game plan.

Is it me or is it every DE on the Bucs schedule that feel that they can beast mode DSmith because he’s soft, passive, n a big teddy bear that will be a result of a serious injury to Brady. He’s gotta go!

  15. Bucnjim Says:

One of hardest things to do is motivate grown men who are professionals. Some like Gruden have a knack for it most don’t. When Arians talked about coaches being responsible for this past loss I think this is what he was referring to. Our player’s I’m sure were overlooking the Bear’s even though they were 3-1. Let’s hope Arians can get them fired up for Rodgers because without a bounce back game this could go south very quickly.

  16. Bucnjim Says:

    Dmatt,
The Saints used second and third stringers against Smith sending their best rushers against Wirfs. Who had the better game? NOT SMITH!

  17. Dewey Selmon Says:

Motley got claimed off of waivers. wtf?

  18. Dewey Selmon Says:

practice squad, whatever. San Fran got him.

I’m still sick to my stomach over the Chicago game. That was ugly, stupid football. Green Bay Cheese Turds 38 Tampa Bay Yucks 17. Will be over by halftime. Prove me wrong Bucs.

  20. Defense Rules Says:

This might sound weird, but I think the Bucs can beat them, even with us being banged up. Yes it’ll take a near-perfect game on our part, but hey, we’re due.

Packers defense is vulnerable, and IF the Bucs’ coaching staff can get its act together we can give them fits because we match up very well. Example: Rodgers is throwing 70.5% completions (not too shabby). Pack defense is allowing opposing QBs to complete 72.2% of their passes. Hmmm, shouldn’t that be right up Brady’s alley? They’ve also allowed 423 yds rushing in 4 games (4.8 YPC average). Should be right up our alley too, if our coaches get their heads out of their … oh well.

Pack has beaten Vikings (1-4), Lions (1-3), Saints (3-2) and Falcons (0-5). So their opponents record to date is 5-14. Pack offense has made ZERO TOs on the season (their defense has only generated 3 TOs) and they make less than 5 penalties per game average. TOP heavily favors the Pack (they hang onto the ball well). Packers simply don’t beat themselves. Wow, what a concept!

Bucs have just as good talent IMO, but they have to stop stepping all over their foreskins every game. And time for our coaching staff to start coaching like they really do want to win a Super Bowl. Time for this team to man up & stop with all the excuses.

  21. Jersey buc Says:

Good! Hopefully the team is pissed off and plays like. Go hit a aron over n over

  22. Greg Says:

The Bucs can win this game but they have to get out of Santa Claus mode and stop gifting all these yards via penalties.

  23. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

We’ll win. And we’ll make the playoffs.

And then we’ll make it to at least the NFC Championship game, and maybe even the Superbowl.

Just enjoy the ride. We were never going to go undefeated, you know.

So far, we’ve only lost the first game of each quarter. We maintain that, we go 12-4 for the season. Even is we lose one extra game somewhere, it’ll be 11-5.

    Playoffs.

  24. Architek Says:

    We need this win badly.

Going to be a hard game.

Hopefully Todd Bowles doesn’t blitz almost every play.

  27. Señor Harry in Costa Rica Says:

@DR, good points and I agree.

A win against the Packers will separate us from everyone in the NFC South.

As Brady will be on fire against the Packers D, and our D will do enough to keep AR from taking over the game. This recipe = Bucs win.
