Gameday Tampa Bay

October 8th, 2020

Game 5

Bucs (3-1) at Bears (3-1)

Kickoff: 8:20 p.m.

TV: NFL Network, WTVT-TV Channel 13.

Streaming: Fans may stream the broadcast from Buccaneers.com or on a mobile device using one of the following: Buccaneers Official app, NFL app or Yahoo! Sports app. Geographic restrictions apply. The game is also available nationwide on Amazon Prime.

Radio: Buccaneers Radio Network WXTB-FM 97.9 in the Tampa-St. Petersburg region; 97.9 FM ESPN Radio in Tallahassee (Transmisiones de radio en español en WTMP-FM 96.1 y WMGG-AM 1470 en Tampa); SiriusXM Channel 81.

Weather: A little chilly for the Bucs along the shore of Lake Michigan as it is still summer in Tampa. Per AccuWeather.com, the kickoff temperature is expected to be 61 and will drop to 57 by game’s end. No rain is expected but it might be a bit breezy. How could it not be? It’s along the waterfront in the Windy City. Look for gusts up to 13 MPH.

Odds: Per BetMGM, as of midnight Sunday, Bucs -3.5; 44-under.

Outlook: The Bears are 3-1 but they don’t play like a 3-1 team. The Bears offense seems truly stagnant and the team is so desperate to jump-start the offense it benched bust Mitch Trubisky for career backup Nick Foles, who has lost his last two games against the Bucs. If the Bucs defense shows up (they took a siesta last week against the Chargers), this game very well could be a slugfest. So who would you put your cash on, Tom Brady, who seems to have awakened, or Nick Foles? With all the injuries to Bucs receivers, Joe suspects the defense has to play strong. Chicago’s defense is strong, as well, and Chicago will be banking on it to carry the evening. Joe believes if the Bucs can hold Foles and company, the Bucs should have plenty of chances to win. Wild guess: Bucs win on a Sean Murphy-Bunting pick-six.

Buccaneers legend Derrick Brooks grabs a cigar and hangs out with some guy in a red shirt to talk Bucs-Bears on TAMPA TWO. All the fun is presented by The Identity Tampa Bay and Joe.

Steven.. Bear fans are normally a pretty decent lot…especially if you get them out of Chicago. But downtown, in a bar? Be careful.

  28. DaBux Says:

Watching the CBSSN pregame is like watching Bucs porn. One of their analysts just called for 7 combines sacks/turnovers from Foles alone.

I’m going to need some Kleenex.

  29. mark2001 Says:

Ivan… if we could only add some music to their posts. I’m thinking Lionel Richie’s “Hello (is it me your looking for)”.

  36. mark2001 Says:

Ivan…I guess it depends how you look at it. You see sadness and heartbreak for a loved one in the depths of despair. I see unrequited Love and passion…a not so secret longing for someone.
