Discipline

October 18th, 2020

Strong preparation.

Joe has to think Bucco Bruce Arians and park-violating, home-invading, NFLPA-ignoring, down-forgetting Bucs quarterback Tom Brady did some serious @ss-chewing this week at One Buc Palace.

Why is that? Well, aside from absolutely dominating the previously undefeated Packers in one of the most impressive performances in Bucs franchise history, it was what the Bucs did that they did not do in Chicago.

The Bucs did not commit a penalty. Not one. Not once.

Actually, the Bucs did get one penalty. Ndamukong Suh got slapped with a late-hit flag when he leveled Aaron Rodgers but it was wiped out on an offsetting penalty.

Oh, and no sacks allowed either. None!

For a team that led the NFL in penalties entering this weekend’s games, that is an extraordinary effort against an excellent team playing a future Hall of Fame quarterback.

And it wasn’t like the Packers didn’t try to draw flags. There was a whole lot of jawing going on and Joe saw once where Devin White was hit twice by a Packers player well after the play with. It sure looked like an effort to hoodwink White into committing a 15-yard penalty.

Joe imagines it wasn’t just Arians that hounded his team about penalties this week. It was also likely Brady. It was also likely foot-rubbing Rob Gronkowski. It was also likely Mike Evans. It was also likely Lavonte David.

This was just an excellent job today of playing disciplined football and clearly they had a good week of practice leading up to the game.

Penalties happened, they just were not called!!!!!!!!! Looks like the old cheating goat made some calls and pulled some strings!!!!!!! Word on the street was that he had to use the ” you know who I am” card several times!!!!!!!!!!!

  12. JimmyJack Says:

Statement indeed!!! The statement made is we are one of the best teams in football and we can beat anybody.

We have set the table up to take this division from New Orleans. Im looking forward to our rematch.

When is the last time The Bucs completely dominated a great football team and a great QB for 60 smothering minutes?…..Maybe you could say Fitzmagic but aside that its nothing in maybe a decade or more.

  13. m0j0 Says:

Bucs needed to play great defense and be efficient on offense, and they did just that. Also, they needed to play fundamentally sound football and show discipline and they did that. If the Bucs can play defense like that and keep Brady clean, and not beat themselves, they are going to be very dangerous.

  14. 74 Bucs fan Says:

Has a team has ever beaten another by 28, had 0 penalties, and gave up 0 sacks. And add in that the beaten team was previously undefeated.

    Just crazy!

    4-2!

    CLASSLESS

  19. Buc1987 Says:

El Buco Realisto…YOU should NOT be allowed to post anything after a Bucs win…..especially THIS win a beat down of the undefeated Packers.

It should be a JBF rule.

It appears that BA isn’t as much as a loser as you are.

    DEAD WRONG as usual.

  20. Buccfan37 Says:

The ease of the Bucs win was unexpected. The Bucs spark is now reunited. The Packers looked more like the slackers..

  21. Buczilla Says:

Too cool man. Penalties have been an issue since Arians arrived, but maybe this is a huge sign that things are changing. I’m not asking for mistake free football, but this team is good enough to beat anyone if we can keep the penalties at a reasonable level. Hell, even middle of the pack in penalties committed should be enough with the talent that we have finger into the playoffs.

  22. Usedtocould Says:

Paul, I disagree with you calling Tom Brady classless.

  23. Boston Boy Says:

    Brady IS da Man

  24. Boston Boy Says:

Who were the racist fools butthurt over Winston being shown the door. Yeah… stop playing… I’m calling you out ‘Dogg’. It ain’t about race fool… its about greatness and greatness has NO race.

  25. Boston Boy Says:

Joebucsfan is still being disrespecting BRADY by inserting negative adjectives before his name. Everyone notices Joe. Aren’t you smart enough to realize you aint just local anymore. Tsk tsk. I been TRYING to tell you. But i see stupid has its limitations. It aint too late… but its getting there. You NEED to put some RESPECT next to Brady’s name.
