DeAngelo Hall: AB Is Your No. 1 WR

Bullish on Antonio Brown.
Obviously, it was a bombshell Friday night when the sports world learned the Bucs signed uber-talented receiver/nutcase/cancer Antonio Brown.
Joe still cannot believe it, and the NFL universe is still talking about it.
On the Saturday version of “Good Morning Football” co-hosted by former Flyers Ice Girl, fetching Colleen Wolfe, Mike Robinson, DeAngelo Hall and Mike Garafolo on NFL Network, Robinson and Hall were split on how Bucs coach Bucco Bruce Arians is going to use Brown.
While Robinson said the Bucs now have three No. 1 receivers, he still thinks Mike Evans and Chris Godwin are the go-to guys.
“This is a very, very scary team,” Robinson said of the Bucs.
Hall, noted, “I don’t even want to think about how to cover these guys.” He is convinced Brown is the No. 1 receiver right away. Why? Because he’s worked with Brady and Brady trusts him.
Hold up.
Brady was with Brown for what, three weeks? Brady has been working out with Evans and Godwin dating back to April sessions at Berkeley Prep.
Whether any of this works, said Robinson, is all on one man’s shoulders. Brown.
“Only Tom Brady can bring a group like this together and manage them all,” Robinson said of Brown, Evans and Godwin. “I hope [Brown is] humbled.”

He used to be a #1 receiver. Now he is in the supporting cast roll.
In 3 weeks Brown may not even be on the team if everyone balls out.
If injuries linger, and he behaves it’s a oood signing.

Remember when we had a QB so mentally fragile we couldn’t even keep a quality back up or rookie behind him because it might damage his “confidence”? The entire atmosphere within One Buc has changed to a winner’s mindset.

At this point I no longer care whether it works or not. I’m simply blown away by the audacity and such a single minded commitment to winning NOW.

Since last season’s horrible taste walking off the field after that Atlanta debacle it’s just been amazing. SERIOUSLY!!! I remember BA’s comment about that game leaving a bad taste for a long time. I believe he has now cleansed his palate.
We have added…the GOAT at the most important position on the field…a position that has been the Buc’s Achilles heel forever!!! So follow this amazing string..
Brady…his top target and fellow HOFer to be…Gronk…Fournette…and now AB.
Not a single one of those players is average. We have added three future HOFers and an above average player in ONE off season.
We hit home runs in the draft on defense.
It’s not hard to be a Buc’s fan these days.

AB will be the #1 HEALTHY receiver. Everyone seems so sure about Mike and Chris being able to suit up week to week. That just is not a reasonable assumption, and that is all it is, an assumption. Brady needs actual bodies on the field that can play at a high level. He has been hamstrung all year. The vaunted MASH unit has not been reliable this season. Do I hope they will be able to be full go, yes I do, but lets get real, throw the emotions out the window. The walking wounded WR MASH unit needed help. SUPER BOWL OR BUST!!!! GO BUCS!!!!

This team is All In which means more than just signing good players.
A Super Bowl or bust attitude creates a no nonsense culture inherently.
With Brady gunning for #7 at home in Tampa for the Super Bowl, this season has epic ramifications.
No way is one player gonna consider himself above that, even Brown.
Gonna prove to the world how good he is in an attempt to put this behind him.
Now if he goes off for 150 and 3 TDs against New Orleans, all bets are off.
The problem is he has worked so hard, being undrafted, at running routes and is so quick, he KNOWS he is good.
Please God give this man the common sense, that EVERYBODY already sees it, and he doesn’t have to burn an American Flag naked to get recognition.

For me, it’s simple: we need healthy hamstrings in December and January. If AB helps establish some kind of a “rotation” or depth at WR if someone does go down, then it’s mission accomplished.
The risk of having to go up against New Orleans and Kansas City without the other number 1s (or with them at less than 100%) became too great. So he’s here on a low-risk, high reward insurance play. Let’s go get it now!

Goal is to probably move AB to the outside with Godwin in the slot where he can be an absolute monster. If anything, this is gonna help out Godwin and Evans. AB is going to be a decoy I’d imagine. He’s gonna shut his mouth and get that check. I’m sure he realizes his chances are slim at this point of ever returning if he messes this up.

We need to win now. We wont have all these players together next year. It will be very scary if we can get AB, Evans, Godwin, Gronk and a back on the field at the same time. No defense wants any of that.

I am embarrassed as the trial scripts are going to be unnerving in how Brown allegedly sexually assaulted and/or raped this woman Brittney Taylor.

gotta really hope this AB guy doesn’t monkey-wrench things for mike evans…
if this AB guy comes in here with a big head as if he’s receiver #1, he and mike are gonna clash heads from the get go…
let’s hope it isn’t the case…
godwin is a young receiver and smart, so he will defer and deflect…
but evans will resort back to his young hot headed ways and they will clash…
gotta hope AB comes in and respects our star veteran receiver who has 6 straight 1k yard seasons…

I hate this move. Antonio Brown is a complete cancer, and the fact that he has money on the line for incentives means he’ll act up when he isn’t getting the ball.
Easily the worst move of the season.
No way will he be our #1, unless Evans and Godwin are both out due to injury…and then it will be temporary.
I agree that he may not be one the team in a few weeks. I hope he isn’t. He’s not going to do much in the meanwhile. He’s not even in football shape.

It’s not about how well he’ll fit in the locker room or how fast he will run with a football or how good he can catch an inflated Hyde of leather!! … It’s about him being A HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE human being and the NFL standards being lowered so much they let P.O.S. like this fool in!!
