“We Haven’t Done Sh!t”

September 23rd, 2020

Bucs coach Bucco Bruce Arians.

Though his answer was sort of predictable, both in an amusing way and in a show of disgust, the Custodian of Canton got Bucs coach Bucco Bruce Arians a bit animated this afternoon.

With the possible exception of the 49ers, it seems no team has been beaten up more than the Broncos. Their injury report looks almost like a casualty list from a war zone.

Von Miller, Drew Lock, A.J. Bouye, Phillip Lindsay, Courtland Sutton, Mark Barron — and that’s not the entire list. The Broncos are a walking wounded outfit.

It could give their opponent a reason to maybe ease up thinking they could win a game without maximum effort.

Let’s just say Arians didn’t want to hear such talk, and it sounds as if he’s already warned his players about downshifting for the Broncos.

“I don’t think we are anybody that can let our guard down,” Arians said. “We haven’t done sh!t. We better have it strapped on and ready to go.

“[Denver is] a very well-coached football team and everybody’s got injuries. We are nobody to look past anybody.”

Joe didn’t see last week’s Broncos game against the Steelers but they hung with Pittsburgh. Joe did see the Broncos play the Titans to open the season and not only did the Broncos play well, they had a chance to win it at the end.

Even though former Gators quarterback Jeff Driskel had to come in cold to play for Lock, Driskel didn’t look too shabby and kept Denver in the game.

In less than one game, Driskel has more completions over 20 yards (four) than Chiefs quarterback Pat Mahomes (three).

No, this won’t be a cakewalk for the Bucs.

When I was a youngin’ I remember watching the little leagues at Skyway Park.
The families would all gather and decorate the fields with the streamers and cheer on those kids. Magical.
I bring that memory up to focus on those fans. They weren’t thinking about contracts or how good a player was or anything like that.
It was UNCONDITIONAL LOVE from those fans because they were families.
Are the Buccaneers not our family?
Some of you funny folks seem to like to support INDIVIDUAL POSERS.
Why get so mad at folks like NDog? Without his posts it would be everyone together supporting the team and we can’t have that now can we sir?
The Patriots participated in a lot of Super Bowls and Championships with probably some of the HARSHEST critics in the league in fans.
Do I know that for sure? Nope… just guessing 😀
I guess my point is this team deserves better support than it’s getting.
Also, the other day my brother took me to the team store at the stadium.
I was disappointed in it seeing it as cheap looking and bare.
Not enough representation of stars of the past on the walls or any historical artifacts.
I didn’t see any Selmon Wilder Williams or any memorable players at all except for a few from the Super Bowl 2002. Just a handful of cheap shirts and replicas.
No historical information for new fans of the team to read, exciting them into purchases. No videos of Bucs in action from all eras.
You want your team store to be more of an experience. Something you simply must see at One Buccaneer Palace!
My brother wanted to buy the new helmet and there were none.
He looked at all of the jerseys and none were true authentic game day jerseys
So your money walked out the door to purchase online.
I asked him why he thought they didn’t have any authentic products and he said because Tampa Bay Buccaneer fans cannot afford those things.
One final thing. The stadium is gaining in age overall.
What if we build a beautiful dome around the stadium that allows for more seating and would update the stadium to new incapsulating the current stadium. Kind of like a snow globe
Just tossin these things out there.
    GO BUCS!!!

  3. Mort Says:

Trap game, indeed. I still think the Bucs should smoke them if they play reasonably well.

  4. SlyPirate541 Says:

All eyes on Shaq this week. He has 0 sacks on the year. Shaq will be looking to get on the board against his former team. A team that gave up 8 sacks last week.

  5. TB12 In Da Bay Says:

Neither has Arians. Guy is 8-10 as a Bucs coach and as a Coach here he is more of a figurehead than an actual coach. Unless he makes the playoffs he has gotta be out of here.

  6. AtlBuc Says:

We should Fournette them from the beginning!!

  7. AtlBuc Says:

This is the type game we have usually lost

  8. Chris@Apple Roof Cleaning Tampa Says:

I totally agree that we should Fournette them, from the git go!

  9. 813bucboi Says:

    ATL

    i agree….

    start fournette…
    let rojo spell him….
    close with fournette….

    GO BUCS!!!!!

  10. Bob Says:

The Bucs have had a habit of “playing down to the competition”…..great teams don’t!

  11. ModHairKen Says:

That means you have done Sh!t

  12. BillyBucFan Says:

You can just tell this team loves to block for Fournette.
Play Action would actually work from the git go, to stay true to previous posts.

Sounds like they are afraid to bruise Rojos confidence more than starting the obvious choice.

Let competition make Rojo step up.
    Start Juice

  13. IrishMist Says:

Maybe they should mix some metamucil in the Gatorade.

  14. JimmyJack Says:

How about we just kick the snot out of Denver and move on to the next one? Thats what Im talking about.

  15. bojim Says:

Don’t pat yourselves on the back yet. Please!!

  16. Lamarcus Says:

Oh snap. He comes the immortal back up Qbs. This team needs to prove it can beat back up Qbs

  17. Bucamania Says:

Shaq has been a major disappointment so far, Doing nothing out there and looks gassed on most plays.

  18. Cainishere Says:

Just so you guys do not think I am too off topic here THE BUCS WILL WIN RELAX!
The Stadium Dome Idea update. Add in an indoor mall to replace the forgotten Tampa Bay Center within the stadium. Should attract Olympic committee allow for more Super Bowls and Championship games not to forget make a lot of people a lot of money. Why are you guys sweating the Broncos?
    You heard Arians? RELENTLESS!!!

  19. JimmyJack Says:

Lamarcus we beat the only 2 backups we played last year. We beat them pretty soundly actually……..No reason to worry unless we pull the Tampa 2 playbook out of the fire.

  20. Bucamania Says:

Btw Devin White was mic’d up for Inside the NFL this week. Great audio of him talking a big game out there. Dude has some swagger! CMC told him he thought he was the best in the game. White said ‘Yessir!’ Good stuff.

  21. Defense Rules Says:

I wonder what the longest record for one team not beating another is. Bucs haven’t beaten the Broncos since 1999 (20 winless years seems like it should be worthy of a record of some type).

Of course, since then we’ve only played the Broncos 4 times (2004, 2008, 2012 & 2016 … 2 at home, 2 on the road). Bucs lost all 4. Any betting man would tell you ‘We’re due’. My money’s on the Bucs in this one.

  22. Alvin Scissors Harper Says:

Brady will keep this team focused week in and week out. When you haven’t made the playoffs in over a decade, and haven’t had a really meaningful win in longer than that, how do you have a trap game?
I’m no pro athlete, but how do you not get up for all 16 games on the schedule?

  23. Bob in Valrico Says:

I have seen both Shaq and JPP stay back in coverage. Somebody has to cover receivers and tight ends if both our middle linebackers are blitzing. Shaq is also good at stopping the run.

  24. Bob in Valrico Says:

Oops, and so is JPP .

  25. DavidBigBucsFan99 Says:

The defense let the Panthers 17 points in the 2nd half after crushing the 1st half. Don’t be over confident they won’t give Denver a chance to stay in it with the offense still struggling. We still have trouble covering receivers

  26. Pewter Power Says:

I’m really torn about this coaching staff and front office. No doubt BA knows football but he’s suspect and can’t trust him to win a Super Bowl. Not surprised but gronk lack of production but you have three high priced tight ends one getting no snaps as if he has one of the best o lines in the league and the money couldn’t be better spent elsewhere

No trust at all that even when the receivers are injured he will use his tight ends, he proved that last year. The game planning is a major issue just like roster management

  27. Cranky Old Man Says:

Bruce knows about not doing s__t, he has not had a winning season since 2015.

  28. Jeffbuc Says:

Jimmy jack you said we beat the only two backups we faced. I remember us getting beat by Bridgewater for New Orleans. And I remember a game in London against a backup for the panthers where we got spanked also. So not sure we spanked the only two backups we faced. Detroit yes we crushed them.

  29. JimBuc2 Says:

Righton JimmyJ. Monte Kifken used to call it slobberknocktey. Punch ’em in the mouth, line up and do it again. Curb stomp someone for once already. Yeah buddy, you like that? Well, here’s some more, chump.
    Go Bucs!

  30. Perimeter Blocker Says:

At the same time this team is NOT the Saints or the Packers. No excuses! WIN. The Bucs are the better team.

  31. unbelievable Says:

JimmyJack we lost to several backups last years actually.

And the year before that. And the year before that. And the year before that. And so on….

Backups mean nothing positive until this team proves otherwise.
