Good “Problem”

September 3rd, 2020

Shaq Barrett’s face two seconds after Joe asked him about Tristan Wirfs

Sometimes a picture tells a story.

See Shaq Barrett right here.

Joe asked Shaq today for his impressions of Buccaneers rookie right tackle Tristan Wirfs, the rookie manbeast out of the University of Iowa.

“Tristan is the real deal,” Shaq replied ” He’s going to be a problem up there for a lot of edge rushers and whoever is going against him. I like Tristan a lot. Yeah, he ready, for sure.”

Shaq is a rather straight-shooter when he talks. Heck, he was the guy who said Jameis Winston would be out of football if he kept up his rate of interceptions, and he called Jameis’ pick-happy ways “draining and deflating” on national radio.

So Joe believes Shaq and feels damn great about his assessment of Wirfs. That instant smile warmed Joe’s Bucs-loving heart.

It’s funny. Wirfs is getting a monster education from many on that defensive unit.
He probably will be a beast. GO BUCS!!!

  2. Tampabaybucfan Says:

Somehow, someway Joe always seems to find a way to bring up “youknowwho”…

  3. Howard Cosell Says:

    How dare he criticize Jameis!
He probably doesn’t blame the 45 for covid either!!
I hate people who live in reality!!
    Go communism!!!

  4. Howard Cosell Says:

OK, ok…..I really like communism because …..
I’m just not good at ANYTHING…I have no marketable
skills….I basically live of the gov’t….and I’m lazy to boot…

So communism sounds (to me) like a great deal:
    1) Bring all the skilled people down to my level so I don’t feel bad
    2) Have everyone live off the gov so I don’t feel like a leech

    Go communism!!!!

  5. bucsfan951 Says:

Joe is just dangling the carrot in front of the PUPPYS face with this one. grab your popcorn because the melt down continues!

THANK GOD THE CANCER NAMED JW IS GONE!!!

  6. Casual Observer Says:

If Wirfs is up to the task on day 1, it would be amazing. A rookie with no pre-season games. But I’m hopeful.

  7. Ndog Says:

Yeah I’m sure it’s not a deflating at all for a quarterback or an offense to watch Danny Dimes in his first career start go up and down the field on our sieve of a defense including walking into the end zone on the game winning play only to come back and put your kicker in the position to win the game and watch him miss it no that’s not deflating at all for a quarterback. Or how about going to Seattle and going toe-to-toe with one of the best quarterbacks in the league only to watch your defense give up the booty every single time thereafter and watch the defense go on the field in overtime and give up a long drive and never even get to touch the ball cuz your defense is such a disaster That’s not the deflating at all no.

Or how about the capital collapse I’m sure that’s not deflating at all to a quarterback.

Or how about letting devonte Freeman run for 200 plus yards on you on national television on Thursday night. That’s not deflating for a quarterback at all right?

Or how about going to Green Bay and playing a good game and leading your team to into the lead in the final minutes only have your defense give up by 80-yard drive to tie the game and then another 80-yard drive to win the game in overtime oh yeah and the other team never had to throw the ball cuz they couldn’t stop the run at all. That’s not defeating at all to a quarterback right?

Or how about going to Buffalo against their very good defense and going up and down the field scoring points at will and leading yet another fourth quarter drive to take the lead only to let the other team go right down the field because of our horrible defense to lose the game. That’s not at all deflating to a quarterback right?

Shall I continue or should these defensive players just shut the f(ck up!!!!

  8. jerk04 Says:

You just cant help yourself can you PUP? YOu get baited in every single time. You poor little fella.

  9. Buc1987 Says:

I ran into a dude with a new Bucs Brady jersey the other day…

I said to him…that jersey is much nicer than the old Burger King ones huh?

His answer…”I’m not really a Bucs fan…. more of a Brady fan.”

    I get that guy….I don’t get Ndog.

  10. jerk04 Says:

Seriously somebody needs to help Winston out. I have a feeling we are going to see PUP arrested for trying to break into winston’s house to steal a pair of his underwear. Mr. INT needs to get a preemptive restraining order on PUP

Pup how many times have you said “Winston puts the lotion on his skin”

  11. Cobraboy Says:

    Ndog has merntal issues.

  12. unbelievable Says:

87 you were one of the biggest Jameis homers around for years and years.

“Superbowl w/ Jameis by year 3” I believe you said many – a – times.

Ndog is just taking a little longer to let go than it took you 😉

  13. AlabamaBucsFan Says:

I will judge Wirfs after he goes against Saint’s DE Cameron Jordan and Marcus Davenport. Going against the same person like Shaq day in and day out, you kind of learns his moves. The real test is going against someone good who you haven’t played against.

  14. Jmarkbuc Says:

    Ndog

    Or… you could STFU.

Have you heard that you know who holds a clipboard for the Saints, for league minimum?

NDog, Clean House and O’Neill walk into a bar… oh never mind.

  15. Jaymiss Pick6 Again Says:

Glad you put this article out there Joe. As I’ve said, right tackle could be our weak link until Mr. Wirfs gets his feet under him if only because he’s a rookie and is getting tossed into the deep end of the pool. But if “straight shooter Shaq says he’s good to go – then hey, the sky is the limit for the Bucs O.

  16. Pat Says:

Hey Ndog – why don’t you just reference all those quotes by Mike Evans Chris Godwin Cameron Brate OJ Howard Donovan Smith Ali Marpet etc …that show how disgusted they were with the Bucs for letting Jameis Winston go. Oh wait they never made any of those complaints… Hmmm – I wonder why?!?! And
All of those guys talk so highly about Tom Brady And how efficient he has been with the football. Go figure. Jameis is like having the greatest girlfriend in the world except when she’s not with you she’s having the greatest time with every other guy. That doesn’t work dude

  17. Ndog Says:

No Pat those players just have a brain when a player is no longer with your organization you don’t talk about them good or bad you let them move on and you focus on your team not on the past but when you have a classless head coach that does it The players underneath them also feel like they can do it hence one of my major problems we have a classless head coach therefore a classless organization and it will come back to bite them I can promise you that because when all this blows over who’s going to want to come play for an organization that is going to trash players aa they leave just think about that for a minute who’s really going to want to do that. This is the Miami Marlins Central Florida style in two years this is going to be a dumpster fire like you’ve never seen before we’re all going to have these players gone and no one’s going to want to play for an organization that trashes their players as they walk out the door. Believe it or not that’s reality.

  18. Jmarkbuc Says:

    Pat

Ndog’s girlfriend isn’t even having a good time with the other guys. She’s just holding a clipboard. Kind of the NFL version of a Fluffer.

  19. Ndog Says:

What you guys don’t like to have the memories of your defense and kick blowing games and Jameis tearing it up and putting us in position to win, is that destroy your little narrative huh weird right?

  20. Jmarkbuc Says:

Nobody cares about Jaboo, but you. Get it?

  21. Jmarkbuc Says:

“ when a player is no longer with your organization you don’t talk about them good or bad you let them move on and you focus on your team not on the past “

    You do hear yourself, right?

  22. Ndog Says:

Then why does every article or at least one poster in every article bring him up?

  23. Ndog Says:

Yeah JMark I don’t work for the Bucs so I’m not in the organization.

  24. Couch Fan Says:

    I get that guy
.I don’t get Ndog.

    ———-

    Nobody does.

  25. JimmyJack Says:

Ndog the test of time has proven you wrong. Winston was demoted. Bucs upgraded. Alls you can do is keep your fingers crossed for a entire year and hope for redemption.

But for now you been proved wrong. He wasnt good enough cause too many mistakes. Hapoens……My suggestion is to deal with it like a man.

  26. 813bucboi Says:

    ndog

    JW IS A BUST!!!!!!

    GO BUCS!!!!

  27. SlyPirate541 Says:

Going against Shaq, JPP, and Suh will prepare the kid for every kind of 1-1.

Picking up the right assignment with stunts, overloads, and delayed blitzes is what will confuse rookies. Hopefully they threw it all at him.

  28. Steven007 Says:

Lap dog, you’re kind of answering your own question. The very fact that common courtesy causes most (not all) players to not speak poorly of an ex-teammate speaks volumes NOT about these multiple players speaking, but of the subject himself. He’s exhausting. They were clearly exhausted and tired of walking on egg shells lest they shake the Chosen One’s fragile confidence. And oh please, because BA says it they feel they can say it? Do you REALLY think JPP is getting his JW comments cleared from BA?! The fact is he’s gone. Poof. You’re a bigger grudge keeper than NOSBOS. But like he used to say, ioncare!

And unbelievable, the fact that 87 once held JW’s jock but no longer does is testament to him being a fan of the TEAM and not just a player. Lap dog is the fan of a player. A player who’s now a backup on his new favorite team.

  29. Cannon Says:

Ndog, what will be interesting this season is to see how well Brady does with our receiving core. History says it will be great.

I bring this up because the line on Jameis is that his stats were good because he was throwing to an all star set of pass catchers. Remember, Mike Evans make Johnny Manziel into the 22nd overall pick.

Don’t get me wrong, I consider Winston a good QB. He made a lot of good throws… but the accuracy was questionable. He completed a lot of passes due to the catch radius of our receivers.

Throw someone like Brady in, who is fanatical about ball placement, and we should see a dramatic uptick in YAC numbers.

  30. Bucsfanman Says:

I just have to say that it’s gotten so bad with Ndog’s ever-predictable shtick, all I see is wonk-wonk-wonk!

Clearly Shaq must be oblivious to all things football when he called out the QB formerly known as…

  31. SC Bucs Fan Says:

NDog says all of this and uses three periods. Its exhausting to read when so poorly written.

“No Pat those players just have a brain when a player is no longer with your organization you don’t talk about them good or bad you let them move on and you focus on your team not on the past but when you have a classless head coach that does it The players underneath them also feel like they can do it hence one of my major problems we have a classless head coach therefore a classless organization and it will come back to bite them I can promise you that because when all this blows over who’s going to want to come play for an organization that is going to trash players aa they leave just think about that for a minute who’s really going to want to do that. This is the Miami Marlins Central Florida style in two years this is going to be a dumpster fire like you’ve never seen before we’re all going to have these players gone and no one’s going to want to play for an organization that trashes their players as they walk out the door. Believe it or not that’s reality.”

  32. Bucsfanman Says:

I have to admit that unbelievable calling out ’87 made me chuckle!
Sorry ’87, still love you though!

  33. Cainishere Says:

Defenses give up when they play for nothing NDog. When your so-called Leader of your team THE FACE of your franchise shout at you for not performing to a higher standard in his mind , ONLY TO WATCH HIM GO OUT AND THROW THE GAME AWAY!!! SPARE ME MAN > YOURCASE (>”<) poot

  34. Wesley Says:

@Ndog – J.C. just stop already. Move on you’re embarrassing yourself dude.

  35. JimmyJack Says:

Go away idiot……What the heck should care about Winston for? We got a much better QB now.

No reason to even think about a former disgraced QB. We have an elite one now and a real chance to win.

We are Bucs fans. We care about winning. Not players.

  36. Pat Says:

Ndog- personally, I loved Jameis Winston from the beginning. I’m an FSU graduate and I wanted the Bucs to get him. After five years of having a quarterback that keeps both teams in every game, I just can’t take it anymore. He is not a good NFL quarterback. That’s really the only thing that needs to be said. And
Obviously you take Tom Brady over anybody else if you have a chance. To me most of your argument would make more sense if the Bucs had gone out and gotten Teddy Bridgewater. Then the stuff you say would make me question why they didn’t give Jameis Winston another chance. But, if you can get Tom Brady – you get Tom Brady.

  37. JimmyJack Says:

If players matter more then winning then give Dare ten carries a game cause I like that dude.

  38. Pat Says:

Ndog- I’ll make a bet with you: Tom Brady will not be able to accomplish one thing for sure the Jameis Winston did accomplish as a Buc. JW threw a touchdown pass on his very first throw and his last throw as a Buc. I bet you that Tom Brady will not do the same thing. LOL😂

  39. Ndog Says:

All that’s been proven is an idiot self-absorbed ego coach decided he wanted to get one last shot of winning a Super Bowl by putting all the ships on the table cuz he knew he couldn’t do a good job coaching this football team or helping players actually improve. That’s all those proven and you guys all know it.

  40. ClodHopper Says:

Dudes a stud thanks to his awesome mom being a great parent instilling humility and hard work and his strength and conditioning coach, coach Doyle using that work ethic to turn him into a nimble ox!

  41. Hodad Says:

Joe, I’ve been telling you, he’s logged more snaps at RT then anyone on our roster. I know it was college, but he doesn’t need to learn how to play RT, just get use to the speed of the game. Kids going to be a stud. I watched him make Shaq disappear on Bucs web site twice while Brady fired TD’s both times. It helped Brady got the ball out in less then 2 seconds, lol.

  42. Bucsfanman Says:

I can’t wait to see this kid in action, Wirfs that is!

  43. SC Bucs Fan Says:

NDog you are correct. This coach wants good players not bad players he has to coach up. I guess in your eyes that makes him a loser.

  44. Bill_T Says:

Hey NDog, if you go to the NO NFL website and check their depth chart, Brees is first, Hill is second, and third is empty.

There are a lot of photos of training camp on the Saints website. I checked about 80 shots. Of those, one had JW throwing the ball.

  45. lambchop Says:

I will just choose to ignore Ndog. He’s a JW fan first, Bucs fan maybe. Losers like to hang out together. Let him be. He will end up ranting to himself till he’s senile.

Winston went to a division rival. I have nothing but disgust for the 5 wasted years when we thought he would improve.

  46. Mitch Says:

Ndog the defense was improved as the season went on. If I remember they were holding opponents to about 17 points per game atleast the last six games when you account for Jamies’s pick 6’s and turnovers in the Bucs own red zone(23 if you don’t). The crux is Jamies had five years and during the 5th his decision making did not get better and though he could make some impressive throws his decision making sunk the Bucs last year. Lastly Coach Arians has always been viewed as a fair players coach while also being able to hold them accountable. That’s why they drafted a safety, let Jamies walk, and Matt Gay will be on the practice squad this year.

I think you are a passionate fan for JW, but I think you have let that passion blind you to the reality of the situation. The Bucs are better this year without JW. We will wait and see games played to see just how much better.

  47. Tampabuscsbro Says:

Ndog is essentially Jameis1of1 just an incoherent troll. If this was twitter Ndog like Jameis1of1 would have most of this website blocked.

  48. Jean Lafitte Says:

I don’t know why you guys even acknowledge Ndog. He clearly is just seeking attention. Leave him alone and maybe he’ll go chase cars.

Back to football. I think Shaq is great for this locker room. Hell if Gronk likes him then he must be a fantastic teammate and locker room presence. At least he acts a lot more mature than some people who are thankfully no longer here. Not gonna mention names but the initials are JW.

  49. SB Says:

Professional after Professional come out, players and executives and coaches etc., and say that JW”2″ is not starting Material but ndog is right.
    Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigggghhhhhhhht.

  50. BigHog Says:

THE YOU PEOPLE MOVEMENT never wanted Mr. 5,000 here and after 3 years wanted him gone, even tho there was no ALL IN PLAN in place ….now who shows up from grazing on the mountain top, OLD BILLY GOAT and now in my 300 voice, they give him EVERYTHING… it’s a systemic thing, with that YOU PEOPLE MOVEMENT!!

  51. BigHog Says:

HENNY AND HOG…get yourself some!!! Don’t be scared…I got you!!!

  52. ©MadMax Says:

Yeah, Wirfs aint no joke! Thats why I wanted him..

Big V, D. White, Wirfs…..plus campaigned for Brady WAY before anyone….yall just dont see me working on this in the background, thats why I dont post much.

Its happening my friends, WE GOING ALL THE WAY!

  53. Jean Lafitte Says:

I wanted him gone after he came back from his self inflicted suspension and crap the bed when people like me thought he would play inspired football when he got back in the line-up. NO we should’ve let Fitz continue his hot hand but instead Jameis came in and literally shat the bed and lost …and lost multi interception games one game after another until you finally were predicting that somehow the next game we will lose because Jameis will give it away with turnovers and low and behold somehow you’re a f’n genius because you got it right and everyone around the cooler and work are calling you the guru but somehow that name never really meant much to me because it stuck in my craw that were hemorrhaging losses and it’s because of Jameis continually giving the other teams life. That’s when I realized when we were out of contention to even have a winning record I was done with Jameis Winston and I’m not gonna apologize but say I’m glad Tom Brady is here and look forward to his try to give us our first winning season in what seems more than a decade. …wait ..yeah over 10 frken years

  54. Jean Lafitte Says:

Oh ..and I wasn’t happy he lied to all his teammates …true generals and leaders don’t do that

  55. Bucsfan951 Says:

FAT HOG HAS AN OBSESSION WITH HIS “300 VOICE”

Little does he know that “you people movement” extends to 32 other gm’s that didn’t want him as their starting qb…

THANK GOD THE CANCER IS GONE AND WE CAN FINALLY BREATHE AGAIN!!!!

  56. BA4President Says:

NDog is an internet troll, so yaw stop wasting your time responding to him. This probably isn’t the only site he says dumb things on to get people riled up

  57. Jeffbuc Says:

Ndog you are supposedly a fan and literally just said are lame coach just pushed all his chips on the table to try and win one more super bowl. Like you are mad. That is what every real fan wants there coach to do every year. Last year he gave jameis all his chips and jameis went all in with a queen and 7. Then you say try professional players and fans do t talk about past players good or bad as you every day bring up a past player. Like seriously you are full blown stalker mode. You are mad at your supposed favorite teams coach for going all in this year on a super bowl because a division rivals 3rd string an isn’t in those plans. I have posted on this sight many times after a game and many beers. And the next day didn’t even want to come to this sight because I was embarrassed of what is said. But you are not right in the head if you can’t read your posts of pretty much calling yourself out for taking about a former player bad or good. Then trying to defend that player and your statement. Read your last post you are mad at the coach of the buccaneers for going all in on a super bowl. You need some counseling. Your remind me of an Eminem song called Stan.

  58. Buc1987 Says:

    unbelievable Says:

“87 you were one of the biggest Jameis homers around for years and years.”

Dude I just want the Bucs to finally get a franchise QB. 5 years of Winston was/is long enough no matter how young he is.Now they’ve got some other team’s franchise QB for the next 2 years. That’s good enough for me.

  59. D1 Says:

“My goal is to get better every single day,” Winston said, “and I believe that I’ve done that, from the first day I stepped foot into this facility to today. That’s my main goal. I can evaluate performance later on, but right now my focus is getting better every single day.”

“I think there’s a happy medium,” Winston said. “I never want to shy away from playing football the way I know how to play it. But within that, you get to learn from a guy that does it so well, and you get to talk to him about situations that he will take a chance, versus situations that he will not. So I think that’s great to just see him and visualize myself doing the same thing.”

    ======

For fans hoping winston would finally turn the corner, get it, flip the switch, whatever you want to call it, these quotes are not a good sign.

  60. G55 Says:

Focus on football. Please stop the grade 9 girls chatter. Everyone is entitled to a opinion. If you disagree that’s fine but making it personal is lame. No one player will ever be bigger then the team.
