Brady On Mike Evans: Incredible Football Knowledge

Tom Brady has never thrown Mike Evans a football in a real game, but Brady has very strong opinions about his premier target — on a roster loaded with weapons.
Brady chatted with the Buccaneers’ official website this week and was reminded that Evans is tied with Randy Moss for the NFL record of opening a career with of six consecutive seasons of 1,000 or more yards receiving. And Brady was asked why he thinks Evans has been so consistent and dominant.
“I’ve always watched Mike from afar, even in college,” Brady said. “You know, quarterbacks love watching receivers. You know Mike’s ability to get open. He’s got incredible hands, toughness, size, speed, incredible football knowledge. And he’s got a lot of rare traits; I can see why he’s had six 1,000-yard [receiving] seasons. He’s just a spectacular player, great competitor.”
Yeah, Brady is known to gush over his teammates, even former teammate Dare Ogunbowale, but that take above on Evans is incredibly strong. Especially impressive is Brady’s opinion of Evans’ football knowledge.
It’s the kind of paragraph Ira Kaufman should read to the panel of Hall of Fame voters when Evans is a finalist one day.
Joe can almost hear Ira’s voice in 2032. “Gentlemen, this is what Brady said about Evans before he ever threw him a touchdown pass.”

I’ve believed and stated that Mike will be in the HOF since early in his 3rd season. Top 4 Buccaneer player ever! Best Buc offensive player bar none. Well done Mike!

The Bucs just released it. The 4 p.m. deadline is the time the team has to forward the list to the league. It doesn’t mean the deadline to release the list.
The last several years, the Bucs have been one of the last teams to release their cutdown list.

Re Roster cuts and Mike Evans:
It was great that Evans freed up some $$. I expect that after Vaughn makes the 53 man Roster he gets moved to IR. Same thing with Tyler Johnson. I expect Dare will be back for Saints game. It would be nice if they can extend L David free up some Cap space and get an extra Edge rusher.

Evans is Great but there have been a few Avg corners that have great press skills thT have shut him beyond the fk down …… I mean shut the fk down in single Ass coverage …….. Tom don’t get to proud about your practice talent , which I think isntto bad but it isn’t a live game ………. hvwatched numerous-games where Mike can’t shake a scheme or a great press corner!!!!! so all can’t be great at everything but believe it or not he must lengthen his routes when he is getting handled like a bitch at the line . It’s is going to be hard to press him this year !!
