Jazz, Tom Brady Style

So long as nothing stupid happens, five weeks from today we will see the Tom Brady-led Bucs take the field of the Mercedes Benz Superdome to open the season against the slimy Saints.

“Brady-led Bucs.” That still seems so weird to type.

And it seems Brady likes smooth jazz. The Bucs’ video wing put together a highlights package of Brady and star Bucs players from a practice last week with jazz music in the background.

Is that to suggest Brady is starting to make music with his new teammates?

Of course, these are just a handful of, what, 200 passes Brady threw last week? But damn they look good. Tight spirals. Precision throws. Hitting guys in stride so they can get YAC.

And a sweet catch by Rob Gronkowski here, too. Yeah, something tells Joe that Brady knows just how far he can lead him.

So enjoy the highlights. Consider it your football fix for a steamy August Sunday.

Nice, glad to see TB 12 is excited!

“But dam* they look good. Tight spirals. Precision throws. Hitting guys in stride so they can get YAC.”

Yeah, I see where this is going, and rightfully so!

Joe deals in facts, not just man-juice inspired crushes of failed Bucs QBs. The facts are Brady has a history of hitting guys in strike and enabling them to get the YAC (and we expect more of that here in Tampa), while the last little Bucs QB man in that role could only promise, dream, and then proclaim that he’s ballin’. Sheet.

I wonder when the weirdness wears off? Buc’s QB Tom Brady……… I can’t wait to see how well this team manages expectations. They have gone from doormats to the hunted 🎯 overnight. Loving every minute of it.

  4. Buczilla Says:

Gosh damn I want to watch football.

  5. moore$ Says:

    Jazz?

  6. Go Bucs 72 Says:

    Hell yeah!

I know no one is used to Brady being funny yet now that he’s out from under Belicheats no-fun grasp… but the jazz comment is sarcasm boys. Id like to think y’all too are being funny, but if so you didn’t sell it. Don’t be ignorant mid-western grandpas, look up what hip-hop sounds like from Staten Island

S.I.N.Y by Chris Valentine is the song. Look up some fellas named Wu Tang while you’re at it. ITS REAL GOOD JAZZ

  8. Paul Says:

Nice to read an article without all the disparaging childish comments about the GOAT.

  9. Hodad Says:

Smooth jazz sounds good after listening to Helter Skelter the last five years.

  10. VAbucfan Says:

Watching Brady throw to “Miller Time” really gets me excited! Not saying Miller is as fast as Galloway was, but oh yeah!!

  11. Anonymous Says:

Good soundtrack but that’s not jazz music

  12. Cobraboy Says:

I’m waiting for the doomsayer reports that Brady has lost his fastball.

I may wait a long time.

He looks pretty *pop* to me…

  13. DavidBigBucsFan99 Says:

You people act like Jameis never hit anyone in stride that all the players had to stop and wait on the ball. From what I saw Brady threw some high and behind. Had that been Jameis you same people would be belly aching and crying. I’ve seen some of you even call him a bust which really shows how ignorant some of you really are. A bust doesn’t put up the numbers he put up in 5 years. His biggest problems are his turnovers and ball placement at times leading to turnovers. If Payton is smart he’ll be patient and teach him these things because he’s too much about his own physical abilities. If Jameis is smart he’ll listen. If he ever figures that part out and yes I say if then they have a very dangerous qb that we’ll have to contend with for another 4 years. Taysom Hill is exciting, but only a gimmick.

Kobe you really showed what kind of faker you really are when you called Vita Vea a fat boy in another article. Where do you see fat in that video?? He wasn’t fat coming out of college. Guess he isn’t dark enough for you

  14. DavidBigBucsFan99 Says:

Oh yeah you see Ronald Jones catch a Braff pass right? Hopefully we see more of that because he’s gained the GOAT’s trust

  15. SOEbuc Says:

Hitting Chris Godwin and Mike Evans with a tight spiral in stride??? That’s like 1,300+ yards for both of them.

  16. rrsrq Says:

That would be hip-hop with some smooth Jazz interlude

You seemed a little sensitive to me. This comment section was not plastered with Jameis hate. It was mostly just love for Tom Brady IMO.

I was at Josh Freeman’s last game starting for the Buc’s in New England in September 2013. I have posted about that before.

My friends and i all remember this about the difference in the pre-game warm up between Tom Brady and Josh Freeman.

Freeman and the Bucs were lobbing tosses to their wide receivers and tight ends during the practice. In fact, we were like who is number 81 that Freeman is throwing to (turns out it was Tim Wright in his first game with us).

We then watched Brady and New England do about 20 7 on 7 plays. The New England defense was all up tight on the offensive sets and Brady’s precision was something the 4 of us from Tampa were all talking about. It was clear that he was upset if he was not leading his receiver just perfectly.

It was clear at that time he was a perfectionist on exact ball placement. It is actually my most important memory of Brady over any Super Bowl or playoff.

It was clear his preparation and precision were superior. I think the video’s we are seeing suggest that he still has that.

    Great for the Bucs!

  18. Ndog Says:

geno711 that is called coaching. He didn’t get that way on his own, he was coached to do it that way.

  19. Ndog Says:

And BTW these passes were not tight spirals they each had a little drag on them. Brady has and will throw much better spirals than that. Please don’t be that guy and just say everything he does is great. We have enough of people on this website just parroting what they hear on our former QB we don’t need it on our current QB as well.

  20. SB Says:

    @DavidBigBucsFan99

A “First Overall” #1 Draft pick that is no longer playing is the Very Definition of Bust to your team

  21. stpetebucsfan Says:

Clearly a thing of beauty and like all great performers he seems to do it so effortlessly…he makes it look easy!

I love the smooth jazz and would have selected an oldie but goodie…Sade’s “Smooth Operator”. That’s one of the major differences between Brady and many other QB’s.

The JW lovers are too sensitive. What I see is the GOAT. Seriously…even NDOG doesn’t see JW’s talent as GOAT like. So the best ever SHOULD be better than JW or any other QB with his achievements.

Since this thread is bound to get some JW debate I’m honestly curious because I do not know the answer. I remember the grief JW’s agent caught for dropping that absurd long term deal at 30 million per. But what would have JW signed for with the Bucs?

  22. Ndog Says:

Yes a QB that just lead the entire NFL in passing is a bust.
Yes a QB that is #1 or 2 all time through the age of 25 in yards and TDs is a bust.
Yes a QB that has played for 3 head coaches in 5 years is to blame for this franchises failure thus is a bust
Yes the QB of a team with a horrible defense is to blame for his teams horrible record thus is a bust.
Yes the QB of a team with a horrible kicker is to blame for his teams horrible record thus is a bust.
Yes the QB of a team with basically no running game is to blame for his teams horrible record thus is a bust.

Guys we all know you hate Jameis for some unknown reason, but please don’t say ridiculous things that make everyone that frequents this sight less intelligent.

The only thing involving Jameis that is a bust is the bust of a franchise he was drafted by.

  23. Ndog Says:

Before you all get your hearts broken please go back and watch the Patriots game vs the Ravens last year. That is going to be the position you see Brady in this year and you will how unbelievably average he was and that will give you an idea of what we can expect this year.

You guys are way to excited for what is going to happen. This guy was made by the Patriots, he certainly didn’t make them.

  24. SB Says:

“Guys we all know you hate Jameis for some unknown reason, but please don’t say ridiculous things that make everyone that frequents this sight less intelligent.”

    …….

Lol!!!!! That is all you ever do!

  25. Youngbucs Says:

You can’t make this sh*t up Jameis throws picks because of coaching wow. Some of these excuses are out of this world. It’s all because of BA lol thts why dirk wanted to been bench him. Thts why jimbo was always up in his face Ndog you are the ultimate 🤡

  26. Youngbucs Says:

Oneilbucs ndog and big hog are are special types of losers rooting for the Bucs to fail.

  27. Youngbucs Says:

Y’all gone look real stupid coming in here after wins with that dumb talk 🤡s

  28. Ndog Says:

If Arains is not responsible for the interceptions then why did Luck, Manning, Big Ben, Jameis and Palmer ALL have their career high interception years under him?

See I provide FACTS and you guys call me names cause you can’t refute what I am posting cause they are FACTS. Your opinion means nothing as mine means nothing these are hard cold FACTS so accept the FACT that our team gave up a potential all time great QB for a guy that has all time great success in a system that is perfect for QB success, and that system is not here so if you expect the same success you are very likely going to be very disappointed.

  29. Youngbucs Says:

Oh please he had a problem before BA save your breath.

  30. Youngbucs Says:

That’s a fact you don’t like I know go ahead down play it.

  31. Youngbucs Says:

You gone be disappointed winston not going to the HOF y’all need to stop. Seriously decent career maybe hof no f*cking way.

  32. Ndog Says:

Again Youngbucs the numbers say otherwise, but we shall see.

  33. Jmarkbuc Says:

    Ndog

Your whining was old last year.

    This year it’s just ridiculous.

  34. Cobraboy Says:

So if Winston rides the clipboard pine this season, will some other team give a multi-multi contract for 2021?

I suspect Ndog and the other Jameis Christ felchers are now pulling for a Brees ACL blow-out.

Maybe W’s are tastier vittles in NO with Brees on crutches.

  35. Ndog Says:

This team is doomed for the next decade plus. And just don’t forget someone told you well before it all blows up in their face.

Remember the only result that makes throwing the next decade away is a Super Bowl Championship. Even then if Jameis does what what I am confident he will do we will need 2 Championships to make this move worth it. Cause the next decade is going to be HORRIBLE in this town.

Don’t forget where you heard it when it happens.

  36. Mike Says:

    This guy SMH

  37. Jmarkbuc Says:

    Got it Ndog…

Bucs are doomed. Will you go away now?

  38. Ndog Says:

No sir I’m not going anywhere. I’m a fan but I’m not going to just blindly fawn over everything they do when I strongly disagree with what they do. No matter the results im a fan, BUT I’m also always going to tell the truth.

  39. Youngbucs Says:

Ndog put the crack pipe down 😂 next 10 years winston ain’t winning no chip. Not as a starter anyways bunch of young QBs already better than him he playing catch up. It’s not about yards dummy winston lacking behind in the mental. He gets that right maybe I’m with you but stop making excuses 🤡

  40. Hodad Says:

Jameis could hit receivers in stride. Problem was he hit to many DB’s, and LB’s in stride also!
