Bucs Will Play In-Stadium “Games” This Month

August 19th, 2020

Bucco Bruce Arians is just about ready to play almost real football — in a real stadium.

After practice this morning, the head coach was asked about devoting time to serious scrimmaging with real hitting and he replied that his Bucs soon will play two games — Bucs offense versus Bucs defense — in the Den of Depression, also known as Raymond James Stadium.

He explained the “games” will serve as a run-through for stadium operations as well as the team. At least one night game will be included, Arians said, which makes sense given all of Tampa Bay’s night games this season.

No word on whether any practice games will be open to fans. The NFL already has encouraged teams to have open practice sessions in their home stadiums with limited spectators.

I swear that with all of this stuff we have been through as a country and a fanbase this year that if Football is still happening in November I am flying down there to go to a game!
    PLEASE Lord let it be.

  2. Tampabuscsbro Says:

I mean SB if baseball still hasn’t been canned yet with how non nonchalantly it has been handled I think there is a solid chance we can have a full season of football.

  3. SB Says:

I sure hope so Tampabucsbro!! I just pray the sickness doesn’t rear its ugly head again in October as predicted. Wife has given me permission to fly down there late in the season if we are still playing!.

  4. VABucsfan Says:

I would love to see how Wirfs holds up against JPP in these games. Obviously that will probably dictate if he starts week 1, or if Haag does. That is the battle that could be most crucial!

  5. yeah Says:

Joe how many fans will be in attendance for this?

  6. Elita Vita Says:

AT THESE GAMES: If the Bucs see someone walking around with a Patriots (or any other team’s) jersey, for that matter better get them out quickly! Pay special attention if they have a camera or any other visual recording device!!!

  7. All lives matter Says:

Well at least Gay will get needed practice in the south endzone.

  8. Cannon Says:

    Will there be live hitting?

  9. El Buco Realisto Says:

Can we just fast forward to the end of the season, where ole stale biscuit and friends get fired, so the “real” fans can have “real” excitement for the New GM and New Head Coach that install what is clearly lacking, which is a plan and a philosophy that does not change year after year to desperately cling to power and their jobs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    go bucs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  10. Evolvingbucsfan Says:

Some stadiums have given the go ahead on 25% capacity even tailgating with no groups larger than 6. can’t remember which ones off the top of my head but heard Ron and Ian talking about it yesterday. I’mm all for it if people can follow guide lines set.

  11. rrsrq Says:

This is all about Matt Gay – I believe Brady, Shady and Gronk have already won in this stadium

    __________

That’s beyond dumb. You don’t think someone trying to get film can’t just wear a Bucs jersey?

SB. Hit me up in the comments if you need a place to tailgate when you come down.
