“That Transfers To Tampa”
July 19th, 2020Who better to try to explain the Tom Brady effect than a veteran player who made Brady’s Patriots his fourth NFL team?
Back in 2005, retired offensive lineman and Princeton grad Ross Tucker landed in the New England locker room after four seasons combined with the Redskins, Cowboys and Bills.
Tucker told WFAN radio last week that while the Bills had confidence in Drew Bledsoe, it was nothing like what he experienced when he got to the Patriots. And Tucker expects the Bucs to feel the same thing.
“It’s the craziest thing; you know you’re going to win,” Tucker said. “Like you know because you have Brady. I played a little bit in that Broncos playoff game; we ended up losing it. But on the sidelines, everybody was like, ‘We’ll win. We got Tom. We’ll win.’
“Like it’s just, it’s subconscious. And so I believe that transfers to Tampa. Everybody on the Bucs, when it’s third or fourth quarter, even during the week when Brady’s like, ‘You better have your [sh**] together,’ because he takes it so seriously. And then during the game, [the Bucs] are all going to play better than they ever have before and they’re going to consciously or subconsciously know they’re going to win the game because they have Tom.”
This represents another reason why the Bucs need a strong start to the 2020 season, or at an ending to the seven-year streak of opening the first half of a season 3-5 or worse. (Yep, seven freakin’ years.)
Ultimately, the believe-in-Brady effect only works with wins — Bucs wins.

I believe in the Brady factor. His attitude says we’re going to win. And, even if his motor skills may have dropped a notch or two with the years, he’s going to be surrounded with so many offensive weapons, that he’ll be more juiced than ever. Gronk and Tom will feed off each other. All signs are pointing up for the Bucs!

I truly wanted to see Year 2 of Bucco Bruce Arians w/Brady, Gronk, etc.
NFL is incompetent when it comes to basic science to protect the players, coaches, fans, etc.
It’s this massive stupidity, this deadly incompetence that 100% will doom this years NFL season. There will be no NFL games played in 2020 and that sucks. I’ve been watching the NFL avidly since 1976.

Man it is not looking good for football this yr at all with these high profile players making noise about the NFL not doing its due diligence in the safety protocols.
Guess we will know more one week from now.

Who knows better? What a nonsensical headline. This guy played a whole two seasons for the Patriots 15 years ago. There are plenty of guys that played who know better than this guy.

I was so excited when we got TB12. Five years of watching Mr Excrement, America’s Turnover Machine, Pro Bowl alternate Jameis Winston was ALL I could take. Not sure what to expect after watching some old Patriots games though. Saw Brady throw 3 INT’S in a playoff game and not look very good in a few others. Our receivers are some of the WORST in the league at getting separation so TB12 may throw more picks than he ever has. Playing for the “Quarterback Tinkerer” won’t help either. What was it he told Jameis, “Grip it and rip it”? Idiot!!!! Just hope the season isn’t cancelled. Not much left in the GOAT at his age.
