Brady Doubt Creeps In For Coaches & Execs

July 27th, 2020

More fuel here for Tom Brady, the kind that might be more powerful than his new immune system supplement.

What a horrible thing to publish on Tom Brady Day at One Buc Palace.

Pro Football Hall of Fame voter Mike Sando, now with TheAthletic.com, has revealed his annual quarterback survey of 50 NFL coaches and front office types. His goal is to establish five tiers of NFL starters.

For the first time, Brady is in Tier 2, but he is atop it and ranks No. 6 overall.

Here’s a snippet of the various Brady chatter around the NFL:

“I think his arm strength is diminished and if you are around football a lot, you notice his ball placement is slipping a little bit,” an offensive play-caller said. “If he throws a stop route outside, he might miss it. It is such a long throw for him that he has to juice it up more and it’s not as smooth for him, so he loses some accuracy. I will be interested in seeing what happens with him being back with Gronk.”

Gronkowski, Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, Cameron Brate and O.J. Howard far surpass the weaponry that surrounded Brady in New England last season.

“Brady is going to be able to stretch the field in ways he has not been able to in New England for years,” a personnel director said. “To me, the only question mark in Tampa is, where does the pass-catching running back come from? I don’t think they have addressed that. Who is James White there?”

Joe sure hopes someone at One Buc Palace shows this to Brady. And go ahead and hand a copy to Ronald Jones, Dare Ogunbowale and rookie Ke’Shawn Vauhgn, who already is a little pissed off.

Tom Brady day?? is this the day that the Bucs make (because I know some that don’t want to) all employees stand and clap for some guy they have never met when they walk in the front door and act like all is good in BucWorld?? And how come there aren’t any pics on Buccaneers.com of the showers the player will have to use in the breezeway between the main building and the weight room?? Where are the pics of that?? Stay classy Bucs.

All of our Wr’s and TE’s except Gronk are skilled with years of experience in the art of catching inaccurate passes.

^^^^^^speaking the truth go watch the break downs of film NOT HIGHLIGHTS!!!!!!!

No. 6 QB sounds good to me. I hold out some small sliver of hope we can see what a “tier 2” QB (not my words, I think the guy still has a tier 1 grasp of the game and takes great care of his body) looks like with the WR and TE supporting cast in Tampa. I also give Tom a thumbs up on his choice of supplements, although elderberry (with zinc and VitC) gummies can be had for about $15 a bottle cheaper than $45 in the linked article.

  6. AJ Says:

I’ll take 95% Brady level @ QB spot with this offense. Make the throws that are there and don’s throw it to the other uniform.

  7. Ozzie Says:

Ill take our chances on a one-two year ALL IN run at the Brass Ring with the 6th ranked QB than the what the cultist Pewter faithful had envisioned when it was deemed a ‘No Brainer” to bring back the former QB of the last 5 years…Help me out here…where is JW ranked?

  8. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    Click bait.

  9. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

NFLPA approved the Bucs COVID-19 plans.

  10. Roy T. Buford Says:

Yes, another Archie Manning style “It would be a disagrace to lose to Tampa Bay” statement that can come back and bite those who say it. Of course, here, it was actually said about Brady by coaches/execs (Manning apparently never said what was alleged). The Bucs used the Manning statement as a motivator to trounce the Saints.

True or not? That is up to Tom Brady.

Since all the rankings I’ve looked up like this one, rank the “starting” QB’s.

I would love to see a list of actual rankings of the QB’s. I mean most of them have Mitchell Trubisky 31st 32nd…does anybody believe this stiff is better than JW? I’m not sure I’d rather have Trubisky than Gabbert.

  12. firethecannons Says:

still can’t believe joe spent 45$ on TB12 supplement–wow thats 45$ worth of Bromosa you can’t buy now WTF?

  13. Jack Burton Mercer Says:

Who is the pass catching RB is a legit question. I’m thinking/hoping he won’t need one here this year as much as he needed it in NE last year or two.

  14. unbelievable Says:

    LOL that seemed pretty mild.

Not exactly “bulletin board” material for Brady considering he has surely heard / read much worse.

  15. mark2001 Says:

Immune boosting? Been taking Kefir for years…natural immune builder. Haven’t have a cold in years. If I’m unfortunate enough to contract this and I make it through, I’ll let you know if it seems to work.

  16. Oneilbucs Says:

I just seen that Brady said if anyone on the team kneel he’s quitting he’s done . Can anyone confirm this I just saw it ???

  17. Bush's Coke Spoon Says:

    @Oneilbucs

America’s Last Line of Defense, who posted the original story, is a satire site.

  18. Bill V Says:

What they didn’t mention is Leadership and Decision Making. Brady led the League in throwing the ball away. When nothings there, he won’t throw it to the other team/ He can read any defense, and is an outstanding Leader that the Players respect. Thats Huge!!!
