Bucs Inspired Beer
June 17th, 2020Remember when Joe partnered up to bring fans “Jason Light Ale?” Well, Joe’s not behind this Rhode Island beer but it does have a direct tie to two Bucs players.
It seems the Patriots fans up in Rhode Island are sour. That is, sour enough to brew a key lime sour and sea salt beer to commemorate two of the greatest Patriots ever moving to the Sunshine State to play for the Bucs.
The brewery, known as Smug Brewing, brings fans “Traitorade” to prep for this season.
While they claim they are not bitter at the new home for park-violating, home-invading Bucs quarterback Tom Brady and tight end Rob Gronkowski, the brewer’s Instagram page, announced the beer and wrote, “This beer reminds me of getting old and having to retire in Florida.”
Better late than never.
We came up with this beer a year ago, then we decided to retire it. We said we were going to come back to it, but we never did. Now we decided to release it. We developed a beer with the right amount of sour, and a little bit of saltiness. We blended all that together with the best Florida key limes we could find. The aroma, of this beer alone, reminds you of getting old and having to retire in Florida.
While all of this is fun and amusing, Joe will stick with his Bromosa from his good friends at Big Storm Brewing.

And here I was thinking it was any beer I keep ordering that gets intercepted before it gets to me. It is a Bucs life.
