Hungry For Revenge
May 8th, 2020One overlooked element to the Buccaneers’ new schedule is the salty Week 7 opponent.
Oh, sure, fans who travel are excited as hell to go to Vegas, party for days and face the Raiders on Sunday Night Football. But lost in the thoughts of debauchery and tailgating in the desert is the fire that burns within the Raiders’ head coach.
Chucky is still bitter at Team Glazer for firing him after back-to-back 9-7 seasons in mid-January of 2009. Later today, you’ll hear Chucky’s pal and JoeBucsFan.com columnist Ira Kaufman dive into that subject on a new Ira Kaufman Podcast.
Joe is confident Chucky already has the game circled in red on his Hooters Calendar. And guess what, the Raiders will be coming off a bye week; Chucky might not sleep for a week leading up to that game!
A lot of fans have the Raiders circled as a “W” in their fantasy of the Bucs finishing 11-5 and winning the NFC South. Joe’s living the dream, too. But that is going to be one tough game. Very tough.

I don’t know if it’s Brady or the league trying to make up for last year but they really did us a solid this time. Our longest road streak is two weeks and we get to finish at home, that is a nice bonus.
I would also our toughest opponents are home games as well, the Packers and the Chiefs.
We also have no northern cold weather games and 5-6 prime time games, just crazy.

Cool, I want revenge on Chucky, since imo he got greedy and ruined a good thing. I’ll always appreciate what he did for the Bucs, but he’s the enemy now and I’m hoping that we curb stomp his a$$! 😛

Good thing Chucky doesn’t play for the Raiders.

Glazer boys shafted Chucky the minute they inherited the bucs from Dad. Took all the bucs money for a few years to purchase the ManU team in England. Chucky still won with old guys. Then they fired him. Don’t blame Chucky one bit for being bitter.

@Alaska Abdominal Snowman
Why are you mad at the league, when it was team glazer that gave away the home game to host the superbowl to make extra cash??????
Are you mad at the league when it’s hot and there is no shade for many sections that sit in the sun, at RJ Stadium???
go bucs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The opponents we play is on a rotation. And the home games alternate. You play the same division in the opposite conference every 4 years and the same division in the same conference every 3 years.
Last time the Bucs played KC was in Arrowhead in 2016 (shoutout Chris Conte) and they played in Lambeau in 2017.
GB and KC coming to Tampa isnt the league apologizing for last year lol. It just worked out that way.

Most overrated coach in the league. Still hasn’t matched Jack Del Rio’s best season in Oakland.

Schedule looks promising. I didnt read the release article, but i will put my thoughts here. Love the way it shaped out. Love playing in NO week 1. Saints seem to always struggle week 1 every year.
Best part of the schedule, however, is the end. My God!!
Brady has always struggled to play in Dec. Idk if its the weather or what, but if it is the weather then there is nothing to worry about.
Bye week 13 is great. 2 home games in the Tampa sunshine and the 2 road games are in a dome.
Nice to not have to worry about winter elements in a potential playoff push. Getting Minnesota at home off a bye is great. Team will be rested for a potentially important matchup that could have seeding implications.

If the Glazer boys had half of Al Davis’s dead brain, they would’ve traded Chucky to some coach needy team. I could see J. Jones, or Synder trading for Gruden. Hell, Synder hired Jay. Given some premium picks, we would’ve had a better chance at staying competitive no matter who became coach.

If it was not for Chucky’s ability to identify and develop QBs…
Wait, what QBs did he draft? Develop?

I am more worried about the Fans out in Vegas. The entire town has embraced the Raiders, and we can expect a sold out stadium, full of drunk rowdy fans who will make plenty of noise.
But player for player, I dont feel that the Raiders can hang with us, for long.

Well I’m still bitter at team Glazer too. Just look what has happened to the Bucs since Chucky was fired.

Coroner
That’s a direct result of Gruden / Bruce Allen.

This schedule is so damn good!!
You mean to tell me that after week 8 we only have 1 game thats not at home or in a dome?!? And that 1 game is @CAR week 10 so its not like it will be frigid temperatures. Brady is gonna love that lol
Not to mention they can realistically be on TV 7 of 8 games between weeks 5-12. As a non local fan that doesnt get to see the Bucs play very often thats incredible.

The league is loving the “Buddy Movie” being staged in Tampa. Can two old dudes put it together one more time and ride off into the sunset winners?
We’ll find out but one thing is certain. It’s entertaining theater. We ARE the story as long as we win. IF we win our wins will be magnified…we have the chance to create some real hyperbole this year…10 wins gives us a shot…win 11 or more and the publicity will be out of control.

Gruden may not have helped a drafted QB develop, but he sure didn’t hurt the development of Rich Gannon’s career.
Minn 6 yrs: 55.9% with 40 TDs and 36 INTs.
Oak 6 yrs: 62.6% with 114 TDs and 50 INTs.
Also made the ProBowl x 4, and was 1st Team All-Pro in 2000 and 2002.

I wish we could post pictures on this site once in a while.
I absolutely agree that the schedule looks quite favorable, but maybe there’s something even better than that:
Shortly after the Bucs signed Brady and Gronkowski, my daughter sent a picture of SEVEN other former New England Patriot guys that were just signed by the Bucs,
the REFEREES! LMAO!

This is sooooo Bucs!!!! Would rather throw superbowl party then compete for the division!!!!! Just another example of the distractions the owners create for their own team!!!!!!!!!!
***************************************************************
the owners are smarter than you think chump!!!!!!!!
and prove once again you know NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!

By the seventh game Brady will be hitting his stride, while Derrick will have his brains rattled one too many times.
Brady will put on a show in Vegas, maybe enough for rumors of Chucky being fired again will rise up.
May 8th, 2020 at 10:55 pm
NEVER underestimate Chucky! This is toss-up game for me. Per @Craig that Tompa will be hitting stride, yes. But so will Chucky. Buc’s advantage is that Carr is LVR QB and soft. Bucs win will be D rush success.
