I called out DeSantis a couple weeks ago but he’s actually now doing a pretty good job. I’m sure it took a little while to put a plan in place but this lock down does not match the government over reaction.

  2. BucBrady Says:

Anybody who thinks the Governor’s actions during this crisis have been anything less than incompetent and fool hardy have not been paying enough attention. When they look back at this (and they will) it’ll be seen for what it is–an utter failure on his part. And anyone saying that he’s “now doing a pretty good job,” just lacks information. It took a month of incessant badgering just to get him to stop hiding nursing home outbreak locations and numbers as he hid behind a false HIPAA excuse.

If you doubt me–start doing some research on the county by county breakdown of fund disbursement, or the diaspora of the virus post-spring break, or the asinine suggestion that the state would withhold medical assistance to those from out of state, or the complete failure of the unemployment systems (which he blamed on Rick Scott), and on and on and on.

He has failed FL, and he’s gonna look back and should feel unbelievably fortunate that he had mayors with the sense to ignore him and start social distancing and shut down measures when he refused to.

  3. Bucnjim5656 Says:

When people look back on this they’ll see what socialism looks like. Food shortages (which are just starting to ramp up) shortages on paper goods and everyday necessities, record unemployment, super inflation because of the three Trillion they are handing out like candy, lines to get in and out of grocery stores, neighbors turning in other neighbors even though it’s our constitutional right.

  4. Bucnjim5656 Says:

Do yourselves a favor and look up super inflation since everyone thinks it’s cool for the government to just print out money.

  5. stpetebucsfan Says:

    BucnJim

Do yourself a favor and google..”Happiest Countries in the world.”

You’ll get bunch of surveys and results..from government groups..you would call those left wing…to Forbes and business groups…right wing..and groups in the middle.

Some consistencies stretch across all of these surveys. The top ten HAPPIEST countries in the world lists are always DOMINATED BY SOCIALIST countries.

Generally Finland and Denmark fight it out for the top spot in the world. The U.S. NEVER even cracks the top ten. So it’s…”Life….Liberty…but so much for the pursuit of happiness.

  6. David Says:

Well BucBrady… couldn’t disagree more. He has been a fantastic, straightforward, no nonsense, logical common sense governor since he took office.
As for this “crisis”, he’s done great. Every governor and the president have had mistakes. That’s life and when you are serving millions it doesn’t matter what you do, there will be detractors, especially when there is a National media that is overwhelmingly supportive of the left.
They bash anyone on the right 10 times as much as the other side. They purposely seek it out. Fair journalism would be praising him. Instead they are praising Cuomo, who has overseen an absolute debacle in New York.

    Anyway, it’s irrelevant here.
    Go Bucs!
(And Open Florida up … smartly)

  7. David Says:

Hey stpetebucfans…. 1. Those surveys are about as accurate as the polls that had Hillary winning by 15%
    2. None of those countries are “socialist”. They are free-market capitalist societies with a massive welfare state built-in and insanely huge tax rates to pay for it.

  8. Bucnjim5656 Says:

    St Pete,
Denmark & Finland combined have the same population as North Carolina so piss poor example. US has 300 Million people to keep working and fed.

  9. Barack's Crack Pipe Says:

    St Pete

Since you are so miserable, make sure you write and tell us all about your new happy home.

  10. unbelievable Says:

LOFL at anyone think DeSantis is doing a good job.

    Stupid is as stupid does.
