“Seven Or Eight Primetime Games”

Joe has already maintained that the addition of Tom Brady to the Bucs means five primetime games this fall.
If there is a football season.
But who would know more about the Bucs potentially playing in primetime than a guy who works for a TV network?
Will Brinson of CBS Sports did a hit on CBS Sports HQ this morning to discuss the rumors (already shot down) that Brady would bring Antonio Brown with him to the Bucs.
In the discussion about Brown, Brinson suggested up to half of the Bucs’ regular season will be played under the lights before the full attention of the nation.
“They are already going to get seven or eight primetime games for this team next year,” Brinson said.
As for the Brady bringing Brown to the Bucs, Brinson’s reaction was summed up in one word.
“Why?”

That will also mean that Joe Buck and Troy Aikman will call far more Bucs games instead of getting the 3rd stringers of David Diehl and Dick Stockton.

When someone credible has it, Joe will write about it.
Thus far, only guys Joe has never heard of before writing on sites Joe has never seen before and local (not Tampa Bay) radio guys have mentioned it.
Joe isn’t trying to diss radio guys in any way but many radio guys — not all — are only concerned with catching listeners’ attention and not accuracy.
When someone Joe find credible has it, Joe will write about it.

I said it once and I’ll say it again, we are just paying for Brady’s retirement tour. We’re not one player away from winning a championship, we have multiple holes to fill. It appears that every time we get a big name FA we always overpay. I know a lot of folk don’t like tmax but I’m starting to think that he might be right about the owners not knowing what they are doing. I want this team to win but it seem like we do thing backwards here, just my 2 cents

Todd Gurley is done. He was great at Georgia…got hurt…and gave a few exceptional years to the Rams. Plus his contract is tainted like David Johnson’s aka poison pill/lead balloon. Maybe Bill O’ Brien wants Gurley…

Its a new day in the bay so I’m trying to let go of a few obsessions now that the J-train has finally left town… but, any way we could send Donovan to Washington for Williams? There are plenty of people who seem to think Donovan is good at LT… even if I’m not one. Swap gives us room to pay Williams and gives Washington a starter who they can cut next year without cap hit if he doesn’t play with effort every down. Maybe?

It matters because many people will choose to watch certain games depending on the broadcasting team. If it didn’t then Tony Romo wouldn’t be making more money talking about football than playing it.
I only watched one MNF game during the regular season because their broadcast team is terrible.

Anyone who thinks that Tom Brady came here to collect a paycheck and then retire does NOT know Tom Brady and has clearly not been paying attention over the past 20 years.
Brady is out to prove that he CAN win without Belicheat – and HATES to lose. He is the ultimate competitor and will immediately change the culture here. We may not make the playoffs 1st year, but you can be damn sure it will not be because Brady is “collecting a paycheck”.

I think Brady should help call the draft. That is where a RB should be gotten and Brady knows who he could play with.
He will make the Bucs ready for prime time, like Jameis never could. Jameis always melted down before a national audience

5 to 7 very possible- Packers, Chiefs, Saints(2) probably not both games, Raiders, Rams
Maybe Vikings/Bears in a flex late in the season to 7
Falcons(2)/Lions/Giants/Panthers(2)/Broncos/Chargers – none of these appear to have much star power…
Positive energy to the universe, the season goes on as planned – plenty of time to get under control by June/July and get camp going – the rest can be done relatively virtually…

The next couple of months will determine whether or not we have a season.
If enough of us take this seriously enough to “flatten the curve” we could be out of it by mid summer. If that works out just a little delay and only one PS game.
If not we start moving everything back.
If we can start by October 1st I think we can get in a full season by moving the SB here back to March or even April. Let’s hope. I do not wish to lose the entire season but I hope we don’t simply cobble something together.
