Jason Licht On Antonio Brown

March 30th, 2020

Bucs GM Jason Licht

After the way Bucs coach Bucco Bruce Arians slammed the door in whackjob Antonio Brown’s face last week on CBS Sports Radio, saying Brown will not be on the Bucs roster, it seemed as if that ship had sailed.

This morning on “Stay in Bed,” seen on BSPN, Bucs AC/DC-loving general manager didn’t lock the door on Brown but suggested he isn’t doing any homework on the freak show known as Brown.

“Right now there is only so much money that can go around,” Licht said when directly asked about Brown. “There are no plans to sign any other receiver at this time. Bruce knows him better than all of us. Right now, I will say we are focused on other areas of our team.”

Which is a polite way of say, “Hell no! We don’t want that damaged, cancerous SOB anywhere near our locker room.”

So for those holding out hope Licht would pull out his GM card and overrule Arians, it sure seems like that’s not happening.

“we are focused on other areas of our team.โ€

What part of this are JBF people not getting? This is the LAST place we need to improve…two pro bowl wideouts…two potential pro bowl TE’s…we do not need any help there.

Plus we all assume we need 1-2 more running backs and there will be targets out of the backfield as well.

This is like Dolly Parton trying to add some falsies into her bra so she can look even BIGGER!

Trent Williams is also OFF the list. He would cost at minimum 15 million he wants 18 million and the Redskins want a 2nd or 3rd rounder minimum in the trade. In addition there is some risk. He hasn’t played in a year…the last couple of years he was not as dependable durability wise.

I concede he was a freak in his day and he MAY…MAY have 2-3 years left in the tanks…but at 15…much less 18 million he is out of the price range on an OL that is already one of the highest paid in the league. And he would require a 2nd or at minimum 3rd round pick to the Skins. WHY would we do all of this.

The draft is loaded and if we want to start tossing draft picks into the mix we’re hopefully not a 2nd round pick behind Bechton or Wirfs.

I’m not a draft guru or expert. Can somebody tell me how much it’s going to cost IF we did decide to move up to say #10 in the draft?

Ever since AB got drilled in the dome from Burfict he’s been a loon. I really think pro football has taken it’s toll on him. Sad really.

That’s like asking would you be better off with syphilis or gonorrhea?

Put a gun to Joe’s head? Worse? DJax.

Needs to go back down to the Park and play catch with Kapernick!!๐Ÿˆ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

  9. AwShbucs Says:

Hey Joe since we got you talking about Djax, one of you has alluded several times to antics Jackson pulled in an effort to sabotage Jameis, would you be able to tell us about that stuff now since both are no longer with the team?

  10. Robert Says:

Djax was happy as heck when he had a QB that utilized him. We’ll draft a WR for sure.

  11. Cobraboy Says:

AB’s response: “Jason, I’ll play for the vet minimum and performance and behavior incentives.”

Licht/BA: “Get cleared by the league, and done deal.”

  12. rrsrq Says:

Did he answer anything about Amondoela, of course not, heโ€™s under a big contract with another team, because so many think Tom will want him here

  13. Rod Munch Says:

They had better sign someone before the season starts because they absolute garbage as far as depth goes — and you don’t draft a rookie WR and drop them into a top position on a team you expect to be a playoff contender.

Not too worried about it however, they can always see who is available post-draft when teams make cuts and then could always trade for someone. But they don’t have any NFL talent past Godwin and Evans, and that is a huge deal on a win now team. The depth chart has gone from being totally stacked with D-Jax and Hump, to getting lucky with Perriman, to now having nothing.

That is the best analysis I have ever seen on this lunatic………..EVER!
I hope he (AB) gets corona.

AB said he would play for us for the league minimum so cant use money as an excuse
That being said, in glad they shut the door on that head case. He will do more damage than good
